How to make a hat and bowler hat for a bottle of champagne, master class

Materials and preparation Ideas with ribbons Options with polymer clay Decoupage with napkins Decor with fabric Painting

Decorating champagne for a wedding with your own hands is a fun and creative activity that can be done by both the relatives of the bride and groom, as well as the organizers.

Traditionally, these unique bottles are not opened. They stand on the table as decoration, but they can only be opened on an anniversary or during the birth of the first child.

The design of champagne can be anything you want, because its design is in no way regulated by tradition. The scope for the designer's imagination is simply immense. We have collected several ideas with detailed descriptions of how to bring them to life, and also supplemented the text with colorful photos for inspiration, so that a couple of bottles at your wedding will look truly unique.

Decorating glasses and bottles of champagne with ribbons

The first master class with step-by-step photos is devoted to how to decorate wedding glasses using the kanzashi technique using satin ribbons and jewelry.

Let's prepare materials:

  • thin ribbon (1 centimeter) black in an amount of two meters;
  • thin white tape, two meters;
  • organza, one meter;
  • white satin ribbon, twenty centimeters;
  • lace ribbon, twenty centimeters;
  • rhinestones;
  • glue.

To avoid the adhesive base on the glass from showing through, we will treat its outer part with spray paint, first applying markings and covering the top and bottom where the decoration will not be done with ribbons. After this, we will begin decorating the glass for the groom using satin ribbons. The glass will be made using the kanzashi technique, with an imitation of the groom in a tailcoat, with a bow tie and a white collar. To create a white collar, make a piece of white ribbon with the edges beveled at one corner. Apply glue to the neck of the bottle and glue the collar there. Glue the strip with the satin side inward, and only along the bottom edge, because the rest of the tape will later bend, which is clearly visible in the photo.

Next, you should decorate the glass with narrow black ribbons. Add glue to the entire surface of the glass, up to its stem, and glue the entire tape, making turns. After this, turn the part of the collar that was not glued down. To finalize the glass, we make a butterfly from black ribbon, glue it to the top of the stem, and beautiful rhinestones between the corners of the collar. Now our wedding glass is ready and decorated using the kanzashi technique with satin ribbon decor.

Guided by step-by-step photos, we will decorate the bride's glass using satin ribbons. The top of the glass should be decorated with lace, carefully cutting out flowers on one side. We glue the lace with the flowers facing up, after burning the cut edge with candle fire. Continuing work, add narrow white tape to the glue in turns, without cutting it. Then you need to decorate the bride’s glass with a white nylon skirt, first gathering it with a thread and sewing it with stitches to the edge of a white ribbon. We will disguise the junction of the ribbons and the skirt with a thin golden-colored ribbon. The decoration of the lace top part will also be done with the same gold ribbon, which is best decorated with rhinestones in advance. All details of needlework can be seen in step-by-step photos. Now we can say that the work is completed, and the wedding glasses are decorated using the kanzashi technique.

Original solutions

Decoration made from polymer clay looks interesting. You don’t have to do it yourself; ready-made elements are sold. First wash the bottles of labels, paint them with paint (you can use aerosol paint), and glue on decorations made of polymer clay, beads, and ribbons. Examples of design in the photo:

Bottles decorated with engraving look very beautiful and elegant. But the work is quite difficult. Without certain skills, it is better not to take it on, but to ask a professional for help.

Decorating wedding champagne bottles

Decoration of champagne bottles for wedding celebrations is made from stretchable tape, which is called binding. The second master class will explain to everyone exactly how to do this weaving correctly. Let's prepare the following materials:

  • ten meters of white trim;
  • eight meters of black trim;
  • ten centimeters of lace;
  • rhinestones;
  • nylon bow;
  • glue stick.

Place two bottles of champagne in warm water for one hour, then remove the stickers and make a decoration from ribbons. Let's start weaving with the bottle of champagne that will represent the bride. Glue a piece of lace at the bottom of the neck, and then start decorating the champagne with white trim. This operation is performed from pieces of binding, and not from a whole piece. We cut out the first piece to measure, and first glue all the rest and then cut them off, which will allow us not to overuse the material. All pieces of tape will be different in length, because the diameter of the bottle changes. The overall appearance of this technique is very similar to ribbon weaving and makes a great impression.

Having finished gluing the trim, we will begin to decorate the champagne bottle, giving it the look of a bride. For this purpose you will need a skirt and jewelry. To get a skirt, we assemble three layers of nylon bow onto a thread with our own hands. Each layer should be about one meter long and is formed by folding along the length. To be more precise, the skirt turns out to be six layers, because each layer consists of two parts. For a better understanding and assimilation of the material, refer to the step-by-step photos. They clearly show that three separate double frills gathered on a thread were made for the skirt. Glue the first bottom frill onto the champagne, then the middle one, and finally the top one, after first sewing a gold ribbon to its top. The distance between the frills should be about two centimeters. The top frill should be sewn with fishing line to the white trim to make the work look better.

To decorate the neck, we need a narrow golden ribbon, onto which we glue rhinestones, and then glue it to the neck of the bottle.

Our first bottle is already ready, and we can continue decorating the groom’s bottle with ribbons. The kanzashi technique is almost the same as the first bottle, except for the different color of the inlay turns. Decorate the top white trims with a black bowtie made from ribbon, and glue several rhinestones under the butterfly to imitate buttons. On the left it is better to add a thin black ribbon, gluing it horizontally along with a white corner, which will allow you to imitate a chest pocket. Now the master class with step-by-step photos has come to an end. Our beautiful wedding bottles are decorated and can be placed on the festive table.

One of the favorite techniques is to draw a parallel between champagne and newlyweds, to “dress up” the drinks in the costumes of the bride and groom.

If the wedding is non-alcoholic, then you don’t have to give up the tradition, but simply replace the alcoholic champagne with an effervescent drink, for example, lemonade. It is important that the bottle has smooth shapes so that its outline resembles the silhouette of a person.

If you don’t want to take two identical drinks, you can take different ones. For example, cognac, wine. But in any case, they should resemble in their shape the silhouettes of the newlyweds and be decorated in the same style.

Typically used for decoration:

  • ribbons;
  • decoupage technique;
  • paints;
  • sparkles, rhinestones, Swarovski crystals and other shiny details;
  • newlywed photos;
  • fabric (organza, silk, velvet, for example);
  • lace;
  • polymer clay (for three-dimensional figures);
  • paper, corrugated or regular cardboard;
  • artificial flowers, pebbles for bright details.

Champagne decoration for a wedding does not have to represent the bride and groom. It can be either a lush style or a more restrained one, but with traditional wedding paraphernalia - flowers, hearts, rings (if it fits into the style of the celebration).

Before decorating, be sure to wash and clean the surface of the glass so that dust does not interfere with the bonding of the material and glue. It is best to think through the design in advance, and not create on a whim.

Second bottle decoration option

This master class with step-by-step photos will teach novice needlewomen how to decorate bottles for weddings with satin ribbons using the kanzashi technique. This option largely repeats the previously studied material, but many of its details will be new to you, and the decorated bottle does not look like the one that was made earlier. Let's prepare the material for work:

  • satin ribbons, five, twelve twenty-five and fifty millimeters wide;
  • glue gun;
  • flowers from satin ribbons that were prepared in advance.

It is better to free the champagne from paper, and only then decorate it yourself. We must cover the top of the neck of the bottle with a square of the widest tape, then we put into work a tape twenty-five millimeters wide. We apply glue to the neck of the bottle and glue this tape, pulling it and making circular movements, as can be seen in the photo. Next, you need to cover the bottle, alternating narrow and wide pieces of tape, as well as its different colors. The appearance of this decor resembles weaving. The pieces will be applied right up to the middle of the bottle, and then wrapping and gluing again goes along a circular line to the very bottom of the champagne.

After this, you can start decorating the bottle with pre-prepared satin flowers. We add a drop of glue to the back side of each flower and place it in the place where we consider it necessary. It all depends on your decision and preference. It is advisable to make flowers from ribbons of the same colors that were used to decorate the bottle. At the end, decorate the festive bottle with pearls and rhinestones.

DIY bottle decor. Super photo master class from Anna_Solo.

Anna_Solo is a wonderful master who lives on the distant island of Sakhalin in the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Her wonderful master class on decorating bottles with satin ribbons is already all over the Internet.

Braiding bottles with satin ribbons. Will be a good gift for the New Year, wedding, anniversary, etc...

We will need a satin ribbon about 3.5 m; gold brocade ribbon 1.5 m; "moment crystal" glue, scissors; a bottle of champagne. I specially selected champagne with gold foil without any inscriptions on the foil. The amount of tape consumed depends greatly on its width. I have a 2.5 cm wide tape here. If the tape is narrower, then the consumption is greater.

So, we take the bottle, the tape, and by simply applying it to the neck, we measure out how much is needed for the first layer.

Let's cut it off. We put glue dots. There is no need to apply too much glue, but too little is also bad.

There is too much glue in the photo if you use single sided tape rather than double sided tape.

Now we take our piece and wrap it around the bottle. It is important to glue it so that the wrapping paper does not peek out. We stretch the tape so that the edges do not puff up.

Then we again measure the piece of tape we need. Since the neck widens towards the bottom, the length will be different.

Glue and glue the second layer. A very important point: glue the ends of the tape in the same way as on the first layer. I have the right tip on top and the left one underneath. Then the “pigtail” will be even.

Also the third and fourth layers: measure, cut, glue and glue. And we move on to the brocade ribbon. It is very uncomfortable - hard. Doesn't stretch well. So we'll use it quite a bit. But the algorithm is the same. We measure, cut, glue.

There are only 2 layers of brocade tape and I'm almost at the edge. Or rather, at the transition line from the neck to the bottle. I'll also put gold on the bottom. I also measure, cut and glue. But I glue it so that the seam is exactly in the middle at the back. And oh joy! No more measuring! We cut 7-8 blue ribbons to the same length!

And glue them with tension.

I overlap the layers one by one until about halfway through. That is, only half of the layer sticks out.

As a result, you should get a completely untidy seam at the back, and one empty space for 1-2 layers.

Let's seal this sloppy seam. Use a thin knife to make room for the tape.

We glue the very edge of the ribbon and insert it into the slot.

Now we coat the tape with glue, especially at the edges, and press it tightly with both hands.

That's it, all that remains is to glue the last layers of tape.

The corners sticking out at the front can be trimmed. And that’s it, the base for decoration is ready! Add lace and beads for your unique bottle!

I saw this master class last year just before the New Year, and was inspired by the master’s beautiful bottles. made her “masterpieces”. Do not judge strictly. This is my first experience in decorating bottles.

How to make wedding boutonnieres

We continue to consider the mandatory wedding attributes, which include the so-called boutonnieres. They are performed for the bride, groom or witnesses. In everyday life, boutonnieres can be used as a brooch or hair clip, depending on what kind of fastening you make for it. And now we will try to make a master class that explains the process of creating a boutonniere for the groom from satin ribbons using the kanzashi technique. The boutonniere is a symbol of the groom's belonging to his bride, and therefore should be made from the same ribbons as the bride's bouquet. For the specific boutonniere that we will try to make, we will prepare the following materials:

  • pink satin ribbon, two and a half centimeters wide and two meters long;
  • white satin ribbon, two and a half centimeters wide and seventy centimeters long;
  • special accessories for boutonniere;
  • lace for flowers;
  • needle and thread to match the color of the ribbon;
  • glue gun, lighter and scissors.

We begin our needlework by weaving a rose from a long pink ribbon. As you already understood, the tape is not cut, but folded in half, face up. You need to bend the corner of the tape and start twisting it, periodically bending it and gluing it with a glue gun. Twisting the ribbon allows you to achieve the effect of beautiful pink petals that resemble real ones. The result is a magnificent kanzashi rose, cut off the tail at the back and burn the cut edges with a lighter. After this, from shorter pieces of white tape, you should make four smaller roses with your own hands, using the same technique. Then, from a piece of white ribbon thirty centimeters long, we will make a finishing bow, the center of which is sewn with thread, and the ends are burned and left free.

We begin assembling the boutonniere, and connect the roses to each other, gluing them. We glue a white bow below the large rose, and then decorate it with decor using polymer glue. We mask the back side of the boutonniere with lace flowers. All that remains is to glue the base with polymer glue, and the work is finished. A beautiful boutonniere made using the kanzashi technique can decorate any wedding.

Baskets for wedding table decoration

Wedding baskets are a very important attribute necessary for table decoration. To make such a basket at home using the kanzashi technique, prepare the following materials in advance:

  • wicker basket;
  • artificial flowers, three pieces;
  • satin fabric and wide satin ribbon;
  • thin lace.

We make beautiful crowns and hats using the kanzashi technique

The weaving of the basket does not matter much, because the bottom and handle will be decorated with satin fabric. To make such a decor, you will need a piece of fabric of sufficient size. We place the central part of the fabric in the basket's container, leaving the ends to cover the sides. We glue artificial Orchids to the side of the basket, near its handles. To decorate a kanzashi wedding basket, give preference to white, green, gold and silver colors. Wrap the handle of the basket with a wide satin white ribbon, which will give it a delicate and wedding appearance. We straighten the fabric well, and where necessary we make frills and folds. We help ourselves with this with a glue gun. The last step is to glue a piece of thin, beautiful lace along the top of the basket's border. It is customary to place such wedding baskets in the center of the table and fill them with petals of beautiful flowers to give the wedding a festive and solemn look.

With a photo of the newlyweds

This design looks original and unusual. To decorate, you need to print two photographs of the newlyweds on thin paper. This can be done in any photo studio or at home if you have a color printer. Next, decorate using decoupage technique.

You can also order special labels for champagne in the photo salon. This design is the easiest to do. Peel off the old labels, glue new ones, if desired, add decoration with ribbons and flowers.

Wedding bags for brides

Having a bridal bag is very important at a wedding. You can put various small but necessary things there, such as a handkerchief, lipstick, mirror or comb. It is very convenient to make such bags with your own hands using the kanzashi technique. In this case, you can choose a fabric for the bag that will perfectly harmonize with the bride’s dress. Wedding bags can be made in the Pompadour style. This is a very simple, but very beautiful and elegant model. For needlework we will prepare the following materials and tools:

  • a piece of white fabric measuring one meter by sixty centimeters;
  • white cord, one meter;
  • thin lace one hundred and sixty centimeters long;
  • large beads and sequins;
  • safety pin;
  • thread and needle.

We begin making a bag by cutting out two circles from fabric, each of which has a diameter of fifty centimeters. We will also need a flower to decorate the bag, and for it we will cut out six small circles. The diameters of these circles should be eight centimeters. In addition, we will make two stripes thirty-five centimeters long and two and a half centimeters wide, which can be clearly seen in the step-by-step photos. We begin by folding large circles, placing them facing inward. We sew the common edge at a distance of five millimeters from the edge, but leave a piece of the circle free so that later we can thread the lace inside. Having finished sewing, turn the circle right side out and iron it well.

The handles for the bag will be made from the two strips that we prepared in advance. We fold the strip, sew seams along the edges, and iron it. We sew each handle to the bag. After the handles, make two parallel seams, adding lace to the bag. The distance between the seams should be sufficient to insert the cord. We leave unstitched the area that is intended for inserting the cord. We thread the lace using a safety pin, and then put a bead on each end, tying knots. All that remains is to make a flower from the small circles that were made earlier. From each circle we make one petal, folding it three times and collecting the bottom with a thread. All the petals need to be sewn, and the central part of the flower should be decorated with sequins. All that remains is to sew on the flower, masking the cords, and the work is finished.
