Alla Maslennikova with her husband
The married couple works in the same field, but the actor prefers to work in cinema. After the birth of her daughter, who was named after her mother, no other children appeared in the family. Now home and loved ones are the main priorities in the performer’s personal life.
In her free time, the actress tends to her favorite garden and engages in a variety of hobbies. Alla Anatolyevna is not keen on social networks, therefore, unlike many stars, she does not post photos and news about work and family on Instagram.
Student marriage
Having received her certificate, Alla went to Voronezh to enter university. On her first try, the talented girl managed to become a student at the Institute of Arts; she chose the acting department. Within the walls of this university, Alla Maslennikova not only acquired a profession, but also found her love. Her chosen one was senior student Oleg, who also studied at the acting department. The actress claims that about a year before meeting her future husband, she saw him in a dream. Therefore, at the very first meeting, Alla realized that Oleg was her destiny.
The wedding of the loving students was not luxurious. It is known that they got married during the breaks between college couples. Maslennikova spent the first 15 years in her homeland, studying in the ballet studio at the Palace of Culture. The girl’s first teacher gave her a deep love for choreography and art in general. It became more and more obvious that Alla’s biography would be connected with the creative profession.

Actress Alla Maslennikova
A career in ballet did not work out, but the girl already saw herself as an artist and was not going to give up the idea of shining on stage. Having received a school certificate, Maslennikova became a student at the Institute of Arts in Voronezh.
Work in the theater
In 1979, the family, already consisting of three people, settled in Kyiv, where Oleg’s parents convinced the newlyweds to move. Soon Alla became a regular at the “Theater on the Left Bank”; she was fascinated by Mitnitsky’s performances. The girl then set herself the goal of becoming an actress of this wonderful theater, which she achieved in 1989. Interestingly, Oleg did the same.
The Maslennikovs decided to change their beloved theater only once. They briefly got a job in Russian drama, but soon regretted their decision. Later, Alla told reporters that she and her husband did not find a common language with the new team, and also did not see any prospects for themselves. Fortunately for husband and wife, Mitkovsky agreed to take them back, refraining from fair reproaches.
Alla Maslennikova considers herself a theater actress. The star’s biography indicates that the most popular productions with her participation were the plays “Marriage”, “Eternal Husband”, “My Darlings”. Her husband later abandoned work in the theater for filming in films and TV series, but Alla remained faithful to her first place of work.
Theater and films
In 1979, being married and having given birth to a daughter, Alla and her husband moved to Kyiv, where there were more prospects and opportunities for artists. The path to the stage became long. The actress was able to realize herself 10 long years after the start of her career. Her debut took place at the Theater on the Left Bank. The first performance with her participation was the production of Bonna Fide. This was followed by a cameo role in the “Police” project. The audience liked Maslennikova, and the actress herself finally felt in demand.

Alla Maslennikova in the film “Former”
As Ukrainian channels developed, the actress began to be offered roles in various projects. In 1992, she starred in the film “You’re a Witch.” Two years later, the short film “The Sixth Hour of the Last Week of Love” was released. In 2000, the film-play “The Sorceress” was released, in which Alla Maslennikova played the main character.
Alla was often involved in the creation of television projects. She embodied the femme fatale in the series "Lady Mayor". In 2002, the artist’s filmography was supplemented by the Austrian-Swedish production project “Blue Moon”.
The interest of the audience was attracted by the melodrama “Women’s Intuition”, which later received a continuation, and the series “Idlers”. The artist worked on her first project together with director Oksana Bayrak. Co-creation continued during the creation of the film “Snowy Love, or a Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Alla Maslennikova in her youth
The artist combined her work in cinema with performances on the theater stage. She remained faithful to her native stage and only once decided to collaborate with the Russian Drama Theater, which was not crowned with success.
From 2021 to 2021, the actress acted less frequently. Maslennikova prefers working in the theater. She is selective about offers to participate in new television and film projects, but she shines on the dramatic stage.
In 2019, the actress participated in the creation of the film “Just Believe.” The premiere took place in December on the Ukraine TV channel. The family saga “Nothing Happens Twice” with the participation of Alla Maslennikova was also very popular among viewers. The project was broadcast on Channel One.
First roles in films and TV series
Few people know that actress Maslennikova starred in her first film while still in her first year. Of course, in the action movie “Trap for the Jackal” she got a cameo role, which did not give the future star popularity. This was followed by a long break in filming, during which Alla played in the theater.
Only in 2002 Maslennikova began acting again. The then little-known actress received a small role in the crime television project “Idlers.” This was followed by filming in the series “Lady Mayor”, in which Alla brilliantly embodied the image of the femme fatale Monastyrskaya. Then she was invited to the Austrian comedy “Blue Moon”, entrusted with the role of a teacher.
Alla Maslennikova loves to play extraordinary characters
Actress Alla Maslennikova shared about a new interesting project, experiments in the profession and the role of a grandmother behind the scenes of the filming process.
– Alla, tell us about your character, who will you play in the detective melodrama “Three Sisters”?
Lucia is a very interesting character. Reading the script, I even thought that she had some strange logic of behavior... strange... but it was also interesting.
Although this strangeness attracted me, for a long time I could not find the key to the person: why he behaves this way, why he speaks this way. Until I got to this final scene that we will be filming now. And then, as they say, everything came together (this is ironic, since I didn’t have the whole script; I received the final scene the day before).
ON THE TOPIC: Understand and help: 12 warning signs in adolescent behavior that require intervention
– It became very interesting! And yet, what is she like?
This is a person who has experienced a personal drama... unhappy love, pregnancy... forced abortion. She enters medical school and becomes a gynecologist... He sees this as his calling, to help others avoid fatal mistakes... good intentions...
But, as they say, the road to hell is strewn with good intentions. She wanted to help - to protect from evil, but at the same moment, she became a destroyer and an avenger. This is a complex person with internal conflict. Will she later realize that this path was wrong and that it did not bring her happiness? Unknown, ellipsis. I would like this person to experience catharsis... to understand that the thirst for revenge destroys the avenger.
– With your character and wisdom in life, were you able to understand such actions of hers? Are you making excuses for her?
In general, I am a person who always justifies my character. I feel more comfortable working with the material when I understand the motivation. I’m not making excuses here, but I understand the person, so it’s easier for me to work not on denial, but on acceptance. I myself am such a person, and I don’t know whether it’s the strength of my profession or the human, internal one that leads to this - everything is mixed up.
But it still seemed to me that Lucia was experiencing some kind of bitterness, that, in fact, she did not receive happiness from revenge.
– Tell me, what guides you when choosing a role?
I am not guided by anything. I rarely refuse something, except if I see that it’s not my material at all, it’s written poorly, primitively – then it doesn’t work out. But, again... I'm the kind of person who's quite curious about people, so I'm curious about my characters to begin with. But what did I like about Lucia, that she is a person - a mystery, a person with a question... This interested me! I love playing such extraordinary characters – I just love it!
ON THE TOPIC: Is fasting useful for losing weight: the opinion of a nutritionist
– Do you draw parallels between yourself and your characters? Do you have any common traits?
No, absolutely! I am an open person, I would never be able to go to my family for so long, make friends, endure humiliation, only to then take revenge and punish. It's not in my human nature. And in this we are completely different.
– In roles, actors often change their images and appearance... What was the biggest transformation in your career?
I didn't have that. Except that in the last season of “Never Say Never Again,” directed by Oksana Bayrak, I played a person much older than myself. This is a woman who is also an opera diva, and for me this was something completely new. But for there to be a transformation... I like to change my appearance, I am one of the actors who loves difference.
– So, are you ready for such experiments?
I’m ready, but, unfortunately, I don’t have many such experiments and proposals. I love poking around in people, and when I come across human nuances that may be completely opposite to me... it's always very curious. But, unfortunately, the scriptwriters don’t spoil me with such variety. But I don’t “suffer” about this and don’t “sprinkle ashes on my head.” In general, I treat my profession like any other. Sorry, I don’t like the words “mitets” and everything else. I believe that the acting profession is simply a profession, a craft that you just need to love... like a doctor, a cook, you need to love and treat it professionally. I have a rather cold view of my profession.
– What achievements are you proud of – personal or professional?
It's a secret. I won’t tell anyone this, I’m afraid I’ll jinx it. Seriously! I'm one of those people who don't say things out loud.
IN THE TOPIC: What is “hidden sugar” and why is it dangerous for dental health
-Are you superstitious?
This is not superstition. It's like they say: "Tell God your plans." You see, there are certain elements of vanity in this, which I don’t like in people, and in myself too. Therefore, excuse me.
– You talk practically nothing about your personal life. Do you have a daughter, is she also a representative of the creative profession?
Yes, she is a director, a reality show.
– Do you give her any advice?
God forbid, she doesn’t tolerate any advice from us! It’s not that she doesn’t tolerate it, she just doesn’t ask, unless speech arises during communication, then she can share something... She graduated from the Faculty of TV Directing and Spanish Philology (Foreign Language). For some time I thought that directing was not for her (you have to be loud and tough). But, however, as it turned out, you can be not very loud, and tough, and cope with dignity... she is smart.
– Your husband is also from the film industry; you met back in your student years...
Yes, we met in our student years, we played together for a long time - we were just partners in the theater, then it so happened that he was offered an interesting project, to try himself as a director. He got busy with it. And when it was impossible to combine it with the theater, he left, and although he is a wonderful artist and sometimes acts in films when time allows. That is, he is both an actor and a director. We now discuss some professional things much less than before, but of course we share…. We look at many things through the same “optics”. But still, a home is a center of peace. We love to travel together, and if we succeed, we do it with great pleasure! There is an opportunity to feel like those students who live outside the rules and outside the framework. I mean, when you need to get up at five in the morning and... be in time here, have time there, and repeat the text, because there are still a lot of plans for later. That is, when you fall outside these boundaries, it’s wonderful! It gives us great pleasure to communicate with children and, naturally, with our little granddaughter, who is already three years old. we live an ordinary life... we try to see the interesting and beautiful in ordinary things...
