The now famous rapper comes from an ordinary intelligent family: Miron’s father was a physics professor, and his mother was a librarian. The future hip-hop artist makes his first attempts to write rap at the age of 13. At that time, the teenager was sure that he was the first to write such music in Russian. The reason for the delusion was his lack of Internet access, as well as his lack of acquaintances with other Russian-speaking immigrants. But a year later, having visited his homeland, he was forced to admit that this niche had been occupied long before him.
When Miron turned 15, he and his parents moved again—the UK became their new place of residence. The family settled in the small town of Slough, which at that time had a reputation as one of the marginal centers. However, the teenager liked the new school, of which he later retained only pleasant memories: he developed good relationships with his classmates and his academic performance improved significantly.
Miron’s academic successes did not go unnoticed, and the history teacher advised the young man to use his potential and try to enter Oxford. Initially doubting his success, he nevertheless applied and passed the interview. Miron explained his success by the fact that at that time he spoke English with a German accent, and his book vocabulary was mixed with a large number of slang expressions.
Having become a student at the Oxford Faculty of English Language and Literature, after two years the young man was expelled: Miron was diagnosed with manic-depressive disorder. And although the young man realized that he was often depressed or, on the contrary, too excited, he was not sure of the correctness of the diagnosis and never took medication.
He later managed to reinstate himself at the university, and in 2008 he received a bachelor's degree in Medieval English Literature. After this, the young man began to look for work, but due to the lack of demand for his profession, he was unable to find something suitable for a long time, and he began to take on any job: he was a loader, a tutor, a guide, a translator, a salesman and an ordinary office employee.
At the same time, after a break of several years, Miron returned to rap, and one of his new tracks immediately attracted the attention of the Berlin label Optik Russia, which works with Russian-speaking musicians. Soon the young man receives an offer of cooperation - this allows him to launch his musical career and attract the attention of his first listeners. From that moment on, he completely focuses on his creativity.
During the same period, the musician found himself a pseudonym - Oxxxymiron. The rapper's stage name was created by combining his own name and the literary term "oxymoron" (a figure of speech formed from words with the opposite meaning, or a witty and paradoxical combination of mutually exclusive concepts). The presence of three letters “X” in the pseudonym is due to the fact that the rapper often uses abusive language in his lyrics.
Having joined the label, Miron meets Dmitry Hinter, better known under the pseudonym Schokk. The result of this meeting will soon be the creation of their own label and a joint tour across the CIS. The rapper's debut album was also released under the new label Vagabund in September 2011, but less than a month after the release, due to a conflict with Shock, he decided to leave the site.
Already at the time of the release of “The Eternal Jew,” Oksimiron was known as one of the brightest young hip-hop artists: two years before that, he tried himself as a battle rapper and became a participant in the 14th Independent Battle, held on the Hip-Hop platform. ru. And although he fails to become the winner, according to the voting results he is recognized as the best MC of the rap battle and takes first place in most other nominations.
After this, Miron provides support to a number of other battle platforms, the main difference of which is the confrontation of opponents in a live performance. He actively promotes battle culture among Russian hip-hop musicians, and later he himself becomes a permanent participant in Versus, a project in which two battle MCs compete with each other and take turns reading their lyrics a cappella over three rounds.
Oksimiron’s participation contributes to the growth of Versus’ audience, and his battle with Johnyboy collects a record number of views on YouTube at that time: more than a million users watched it in just 24 hours. In this confrontation, Miron won an unconditional victory, which dealt a serious blow to Johnnyboy’s career: later, the musician admitted in his interview with Yuri Dudu that he was forced to cancel a number of concerts.
This was followed by Miron’s victory over the rapper ST, and in 2021 his opponent became the experienced battle MC Gnoyny (Vyacheslav Mashnov, also known under the pseudonym Slava CPSU and many others). The meeting was initiated by Vyacheslav, who spoke negatively about Miron in one of his speeches. Having previously ignored such provocations, Oksimiron accepted the challenge, which caused a wide resonance in the media.
Not wanting to take his opponent seriously, Miron decided to devote his performances at the battle to abstract topics, which is why the jury unanimously awarded the victory to Gnoyny. For Oksimiron, this was the first defeat, but the battle itself broke the previous Versus record and collected more than 9 million views in the first day alone. In addition, he had a huge influence on the further development of Russian rap culture.
In the same year, Oksimiron made another bright public appearance - he competed in a rap battle against Dizaster, one of the most famous battle MCs in the world (at that time he took part in almost a hundred battles). It is noteworthy that the initiator of the meeting was an American rapper: impressed by the popularity of Miron’s battle with Johnnyboy on YouTube, he invited the Russian performer to oppose him.
Despite the fact that the meeting took place in Los Angeles, it attracted a large number of Russian-speaking audiences. At the same time, Oksimiron himself spoke in English for the first time. The battle was not officially judged, but the majority of spectators awarded the victory to Miron. Later, Disaster himself admitted defeat and admired the skill of his opponent. Two months later, he also performed at one of Oksimiron’s Ukrainian concerts.
The musician’s last major project was participation in the 17th Independent Battle (held from 2021 to 2021). At the time of the launch of the new season, the project was popular only in narrow circles - wanting to revive interest in it, the rapper sent an application for the qualifying round, which caused a wave of excitement around it. He also won in the categories “Best Sparring”, “Breakthrough of the Battle” and “Best MC of the Battle”. Oxxxymiron reached the semi-finals of the hip-hop tournament, where he met with rapper Chest. The latter won, which caused the indignation of many listeners, who considered Oksimiron a much more worthy opponent.

After winning the battle, representatives of the Russian-language recording label Optik Records from Germany drew attention to Oksimiron. This is exactly how Oxxxymiron and Schokk (Dmitry Hinter) met, which resulted in a fruitful, but short-lived creative union.

In the summer of 2010, Oksimiron broke off relations with OptikRusha due to personal contradictions. Together with Schokk and another performer known under the pseudonym Vanya Lenin, Miron created his own label “Vagabund” (translated as “tramp”, “wanderer”). As part of this working alliance, he released his first album, “The Eternal Jew,” which gained wild popularity among the Russian-speaking audience and the “Discovery of the Year” nomination from GQ magazine.
Together with Shock, Oksimiron went on a long tour of the CIS countries, but soon there was a rift in the team due to a clash with rapper Roma Zhigan. After the quarrel, Shock left for Germany, and Oksimiron gave a free solo concert in Moscow, after which he went to London.

His opponents were rappers Dunya, Krip-a-Krip, Johnnyboy - and each time he won an unconditional victory, as the audience said, “flawless victory”.

The release of Oksimiron's second solo album was postponed since 2012 and finally took place in November 2015. The record, called “Gorgorod,” was a complete conceptual work telling the story of a writer named Mark, and therefore recommended for listening in strict order of compositions, of which there were 11 in the album.
