Today the name of the singer Lika Star is somewhat forgotten, but not so long ago she was a mega-popular person in the domestic show business. After all, Lika Star is the first female DJ in Russia. Lika also became a singer, for whom the most expensive video clips were shot.
Lika Star, whose real name is Lika Olegovna Pavlova, was born in September 1973 in the Baltic states. He spent his childhood and teenage years in Vilnius. And the daughter’s amazing name was given to her by her father, who adored the work of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov and knew the writer’s biography well. Remembering that the classic’s beloved was called Lika Mizinova, Oleg Pavlov gave the girl the same name.

It was dad, Oleg Vladimirovich Pavlov, who had a huge influence on his daughter. My father was a bright and talented man. A graduate of VGIK, who graduated from the directing department, Pavlov did not work in his specialty, but chose journalism for himself. Carrying out an assignment for the Izvestia newspaper, where he worked in the late 1960s, Pavlov went on a business trip to the city of Vilnius, where he met the beautiful Lithuanian Aldona-Juoza Tunkeviciute and stayed there to live.
Lika Pavlova lived up to her dad's hopes. The girl grew up as an extraordinary, bright child. The parents chose a linguistic school for their daughter with the study of French, after which they dreamed of seeing Lika among the ranks of MGIMO students. But fate decreed otherwise.

The two greatest hobbies between which the girl was torn were sports and music. In the first, Lika reached considerable heights. The title of “master of sports in swimming” came to Pavlova in her teens. But at the age of 14, the future star gave up sports and concentrated on music. At the age of 15, after the death of her beloved father, the girl left home.
Creation
Having met DJ Vladimir Fonarev (DJ Lantern), Lika Star became passionate about working at the console. Lika liked the duties of a DJ so much that the girl very quickly mastered the profession and learned the intricacies. Pavlova refuted the existing stereotype that this is a job for guys, and proved this with her own example, becoming the first female DJ in Russia.
In Moscow, Lika Star met future producer Sergei Obukhov. He liked the vocals and stage image of the young singer, and Obukhov began to “promote” the girl. At the very beginning of the 90s, in collaboration with producer Lika Star, she was able to release her first single called “BBC Taxi”. The song instantly turned into a hit, immediately followed by several more. The compositions collected together formed the debut album “Lika Rap”.
The popularity of the new singer grew by leaps and bounds. Having relied on outrageousness, the girl, with the help of the producer, quickly turned into a star. Possessing model parameters of appearance (the singer’s height is 173 cm), Lika was the first of the Russian celebrities who dared to appear nude for the Russian edition of Playboy. The effect was comparable to a bomb exploding in a crowded place.
A striking event in 1994 was the appearance of an unusually frank video for the song “Let the Rain Pass” for that time. The video was shot by a beginner and many unknown director Fyodor Bondarchuk. The clip ended up on the MTV channel, where it was broadcast for half a month. At the same time, the singer decided on her own pseudonym and began to officially call herself Lika Star. The musical composition was included in the singer’s second studio album, which was called “Fallen Angel.” The tracks “Thirst for New Illusions”, “Somewhere There...”, “Smell”, “Little Tramp” were also included there.
The fact that Lika Star's star has risen quickly and brightly can be judged by the appearance of the singer at Alla Pugacheva's Christmas meetings. According to Lika, the Diva invited the girl to her own theater, promising to make her number 1 in the country. But, again according to Lika Star, the singer refused such an honor, because she already considered herself number one in the country. And the girl didn’t want to turn into a puppet in the hands of Alla Borisovna.
Scandalous articles in yellow publications dedicated to the singer with Baltic roots followed one after another. The girl was presented with monstrous “sins”, most of which Lika did not commit. Perhaps this was part of the advertising strategy of the producer or the singer herself.
In 1995, Lika Star’s creative biography took a sharp turn. After the birth of her son, the singer decided to stop performing for a while and devote time to the baby. At that time, a tour was taking place in support of the album “Fallen Angel”. Huge amounts of money were invested in it, and the producer demanded intense work and a tight work schedule. In 1996, the artist began recording her next album, “More Than Love.” As planned by the producers, the release of the disc was preceded by a nationwide advertising campaign. A year later, the premiere of the video clip for the hit “Lonely Moon” took place, in which the roles were played by the editor-in-chief of the popular OM magazine in the 90s Igor Grigoriev, Gosha Kutsenko, Masha Tsigal, Ivan Salmaksov, and the TV presenter of the TV-6 channel Tanya Semkiv.
In 1998, the star managed to open her own studio, calling it “AS Studio,” and began producing aspiring performers herself.
A new batch of “fresh” scandals did not slow down, which again brought Lika Star to the top of popularity. In addition to rumors about a romantic relationship with Ilya Lagutenko, the singer and producer added brush to the fire by appearing with two DJs – Groove and Mutabor – in the scandalous show “The Naked Truth”. In general, at one time Lika drove more than one man crazy. It is no coincidence that in show business she bore the unspoken titles of “sex terrorist” and “Batman in a skirt.” In addition to the affair with Vladimir Presnyakov, the singer was also seen in a romantic relationship with Ilya Lagutenko. The relationship ended in a not very beautiful separation (on the part of the leader of Mumiy Troll), but Lika herself was honored to create a song with the touching lines “Walk across the heart across and along.”
There was another great passion in her life: at one time, Lika almost destroyed the family of Fyodor and Svetlana Bondarchuk. Many years later, when her memories could no longer harm anyone, she admitted that Fyodor was once going to leave his family for her. True, his fuse did not last long. “Bondarchuk promised me: “Wait!” and went to his wife to say goodbye.” He never came back. And this happened several times. However, to this day Lika, who has long been faithful to one man, believes that in that particular situation it was not her fault. “I believe that a man takes responsibility for his relationship to the woman with whom he lives. If he is not responsible, this is a question for him, not for me...” she admitted to Yulia Menshova during the “Alone with Everyone” program.

When she met businessman Alexei Mamontov and married him, it seemed that life was starting to get better. Lika gave birth to a son, Artemy, and became calmer and more peaceful. But today the years of that marriage are remembered as one sheer horror. It’s the dashing nineties, rampant banditry. Once they tried to kidnap her husband, and as a result, the singer with a small child in her arms had to hide through friends. Today she tries not to remember how she survived.

But she did not leave the stage because of problems with her husband. Then she even managed to return to duty and continue working in show business. “We met Angelo in Tallinn, where he came to rest and I came to work,” Lika recalls the story of her transformation from a Russian singer to an Italian mother of a family. “I can’t say that it was love at first sight.” Rather, great interest. Moreover, we communicated with him in a very unusual way. I didn’t know Italian, but I spoke French, and Angelo, in addition to his native language, knew only English. But somehow we were able to understand each other. So we talked with him for two or three days, until I began to think: what will these conversations of ours lead to?”
At first, the conversations only led to more meetings around the world. They made dates for each other, now in London, now in Paris, now in Milan, now in Rome. But the question is “what next?” stood up more and more sharply. And a couple of years after such a nomadic life together, Lika decided to move to her homeland with her husband - to Sardinia. There Angelo, an interior designer by profession, had his own large company and a cozy home, which seemed to be waiting for a caring housewife and was bored without children's voices.

The most difficult thing for her was - no, not to quit show business, as it might seem - but to decide whether her son Artemy, who was born as a singer in 1995 in union with Alexei Mamontov, would be comfortable in the new environment. But they understood and accepted each other. And Lika began to pack her bags.
And in her new marriage with Angelo, in 2004, she became a mother again: her daughter Allegra was born. Today the girl is already quite an adult, she speaks two languages fluently - Russian and Italian. Outwardly, Allegra is the spitting image of an Italian dad, but her grace and charisma are exactly from the Russian star Lika Star. In 2011, another common child was born - son Mark. And today, a mother of many children, who at forty-five years old has managed to maintain the figure of a twenty-year-old girl and the energy of a thirty-year-old businesswoman, considers herself an accomplished person. “I’m truly happy,” says Lika. — Of course, when I flew out of Russia, I had a big grudge against show business. But over time everything was forgotten. I'm glad that I can now wander the streets on foot without anyone pointing a finger at me. I’m glad that I don’t have to constantly pretend to be the person people want me to be. I am happy that I met the greatest love of my life. What more could a woman dream of?”
Is there really no nostalgia for the stage? — I couldn’t believe it when I talked to the former star. “It seems to me that every woman in life has a moment of choice - when your personal egoism should be locked in a separate room. After all, I am the mother of three children, so I have to think about them first of all. Yes, I don’t have a stage right now, but I’m not suffering. If only because in Moscow there are no scenes to miss. The last two years that I worked here, it was clubs and casinos. Quite painful for an artist who presented his career at least in stadiums. It’s difficult for my character to settle for less. I remember how tormented I was that my big show gradually turned into a small club performance. But my creativity is always with me.”

New turn
Having moved to Italy and got married, at first Lika simply enjoyed her new status as a loving wife and caring mother. But then her active nature could not stand such a carefree existence. And she got down to business. Today Lika organizes gastronomic tours to the paradise island. She also founded a real estate agency named after herself in Sardinia. Moreover, it rents out luxury real estate not only on the Italian miracle island, but also in other parts of Europe. For example, now the Lika company is actively promoting one Spanish resort, which has long been chosen by European stars, and then our celebrities began to join in. It also offers luxury villas in Monaco and, in winter, chalets in ski resorts in France, Italy and Switzerland.
As Lika herself laughs, some clients turn to her company after finding out who its owner is. After all, Lika loves Moscow and believes that it is one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. And last year, both Allegra and Mark, while in the Russian capital, even went on stage with their mother and sang a couple of songs with her.
...Recently, in the wake of retromania, many idols of yesteryear have emerged from obscurity. Those of them who have now retired usually talk about how happy they are without show business. But when you listen to their speeches, you constantly experience some discomfort. Because in their eyes there is sadness, longing and a desire to return to those days when entire stadiums applauded them. So, when I talked with Lika, there was absolutely no feeling of awkwardness. Because a happy woman was sitting in front of me. Maybe that's why she looks amazing today - and this is without pumped lips, lifts, and Botox with fillers. Moreover, Lika herself, a smart young lady, also knows everything about herself. Therefore, having warned that he “works according to Baskov’s example,” he directly says: “Over the years, a good person becomes even more beautiful!” And she never tires of thanking Pugacheva, who once made her persona non grata and pushed her to move: “Thanks to Alla Borisovna! Thanks to her, I have a family, I live in Italy, and don’t live in Moscow.”
