A wedding banquet is a multi-hour event, and therefore it should be diluted with interesting surprises and entertainment. Relatively recently, a fun prank for guests appeared in the form of a screen showing an interview recorded immediately after the wedding ceremony of a young couple.
The wedding host, when interviewing friends of the newlyweds, asks some questions, but when editing the video, he voices completely different questions. In this publication we will take a closer look at how to prepare a comic interview at a wedding.

By preparing a humorous interview at your wedding, you can make a fun surprise for the newlyweds and all invited guests. But when preparing the described prank, it is important not to accidentally offend anyone.
Some videos posted online ask who will give a young couple the least amount of money or drink the most vodka. In our opinion, such topics should not be raised. After all, people have different senses of humor.

Pavel, how did you get into this profession? Do you remember the moment when you decided to make weddings your life's work?
For me it was not a profession, but rather a way of life. My friends and I were always up to something back then. For example, a friend and I, who is now a leader in the wedding business, decided to organize celebrations in one evening. They staged mostly weddings. It was 2009. Then I wanted to move away from organizing to leading. The realization of the wish happened several seasons later. Since then, I no longer mix myself as an organizer and a presenter. Over 8 years of work, I learned to sound professional.

What should a professional wedding celebrant know?
The most important thing is an individual approach to the event. It would be professional not to shout about it, but to carry it as your main mission. And of course, you need to constantly change and work on quality. To do this you need to have a critical eye. Otherwise, the dust quickly settles and it seems that all this has already happened.
Is there a lot of competition among presenters?
The offer for wedding hosts is extensive.
But not all presenters succeed in surprising and being remembered. Although the possibilities for this are colossal. I energize myself. Therefore, I can organize smiles, laughter and joy everywhere. You have been organizing weddings for a long time. Don't you feel monotonous or tired?
To enjoy my work, I take regular breaks from it. At the beginning of the season I bought a motorcycle. I took it to Lake Baikal and jumped there with a parachute. In July, between weddings, I plan to ride all the scary rides at Disneyland. I deliberately build a “busy schedule.” And God forbid I admit to myself that there are at least 15 unaccounted minutes in this schedule. Busy - therefore I exist. I'm not a workaholic and never have been. It’s just that for me what I do is not work. This is my mood.

I had different periods - both success and not so much. There are several criteria by which the success of a presenter can be assessed. One of them is word of mouth. And here, too, at times everything happens very differently. But, in my opinion, the most important thing is that the desire to do my job well does not leave me. On the contrary, it is only intensifying.

What advice can you give to couples when choosing a wedding officiant?
Take your time with your choice. Nowadays everyone who is not too lazy is engaged in management. Among such diversity, a professional is distinguished by a decent portfolio on his personal website. It is better to immediately agree among yourself who will officiate your wedding - a man or a woman? If you need a predictable result: within the agreed framework and with the required quality: a man will do a better job. A compromise is possible: paired management. The well-made duet is much easier to perceive also because the guests independently choose which of the M+F pair they like best.

What is the ideal time to prepare for a wedding, and how far in advance should you book a host?
The host is as basic a point in wedding preparation as finding a banquet venue. Already at the stage of selecting a restaurant, it becomes clear how hot the date of the celebration is. Interesting restaurants, as well as top-rated restaurants, are booked in advance. Ideal time to make an advance: three to four months before the event. After the main hits are closed, you can approve invitations, event floristry, etc. in a comfortable mode.

I really enjoy meeting new couples. Every time at a meeting you realize that everyone is so different. Some approach their event easily and with a smile, others with all the seriousness of an experienced pessimist. But in fact, all the newlyweds I have met need one thing - to have fun and not go wrong. Once, at the first meeting, the bride asked me 100 questions about the work of a wedding host. And this is not a joke. The man just came prepared. Later, at her wedding, I told the guests about our interview and the room exploded with applause. It turns out that all her life she dreamed of being a journalist, but found herself in sports.

How to get away from boring competitions that scare most modern couples?
All the entertainment that I provide at weddings is unifying in nature. This distinguishes them favorably from the sensational competitions with dressing up or rolling tangerines. After each of my interactions, an additional joyful atmosphere is felt in the room. By creating a smile on their faces, the guests do not notice how the tension in the room disappears. Once the guests were so excited about my competitions that they demanded more and more. This happened to me for the first time: in one evening I conducted all my competitions and even those that I had not yet rehearsed with friends.

I always give 100 percent with all pairs. I understand that I am not doing this for anyone, but primarily for myself. People feel it. Therefore, in my portfolio it is precisely such couples, such fans of their wedding, crazy people in the good sense of the word.

You worked together with Paris Hilton, tell us about it?
Together with Paris Hilton, we brought the theme of Russian hospitality to the point of absurdity at one of the themed events. Bowing to the ground, a loaf of bread, a feast with black caviar, dashing dances and barrels of mead were celebrated in grand style. The Hollywood blonde especially liked the Russian tradition “ON THE ROAD”.
What was (or will be) your own wedding like?
I have been lucky in my life and career; I seem to be using my abilities as intended.
