From the side of fans and spectators, figure skating seems to be a romantic walk on the ice, a bright dance that does not carry any special difficulties, but such people are deeply mistaken. Every wrong jump or push can result in serious injury. Big sport is not a place for weaklings and those who lack self-confidence. The heroine of our article was literally born with skates on her feet. The talented athlete was able to reach great heights on the ice rink paired with Vladimir Morozov. From the article you will learn the secret of her success, as well as everything about the personal life of Evgenia Tarasova.

Biography

Evgenia Tarasova is a Russian figure skater, performing in pairs with Vladimir Morozov. This couple was able to win great love from the fans for the passion they show on the ice rink. Our heroine is an Olympic champion and a multiple winner of world championships. But every victory requires constant maintenance, form, grueling training from morning to evening, and most importantly, a strong and impenetrable character. It was these qualities that turned a simple girl into a world-class star. Readers are probably wondering how it all began and why she chose skates. Let's rewind the film twenty years ago and move to her childhood years.

On December 17, 1994, the future athlete was born on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan. The girl grew up and was brought up in a simple, poor family; she has a sister. They were raised by their grandmother and mother without male support. That is why from an early age the girl developed a strong and strong-willed character. There is no information about her father in the press or online space, and the girl herself tries not to divulge family secrets.

Our heroine's parents held simple blue-collar jobs. Currently, the older generation of Tarasovs lives in the small urban-type village of Derbyshki not far from Kazan. Initially, the grandmother planned to send her granddaughter to ballet, but there was not a single institution nearby that offered lessons, so her daughter went to figure skating.

At this time, she had already entered a local secondary school, and also went to a sports school in her free time, where she first skated. She was an active schoolgirl, she always had enough energy to combine several completely different things. At a young age, Evgenia and her sister often went to skate at the local Raketa skating rink in Derbyshki. One fine day, her fate will change forever due to a simple coincidence, the girl will be noticed by a professional trainer. At that time, she had just turned four years old, and she was already confidently standing on the ice surface. After this fateful meeting, constant training began in her life.

In order to feed two children and surround them with everything they needed, my mother often had to stay late at work. Therefore, after classes, Zhenya had to sit in the hall of the sports school and wait for her mother to come for her. One day, after completing a training session, the girl was once again sitting waiting, and Honored Master of Sports Gennady Sergeevich Tarasov passed by. The coach saw great potential in the girl and invited her to his group, to which she agreed. Our heroine became the youngest in his group, because generally the mentor took only older children, but for the first time he made an exception. From that moment on, she had a crazy schedule: in the morning she rushed to school, then to training, and appeared at home already after dark.

When Zhenya turns 11 years old, G.S. Tarasov passes away, so Vyacheslav Dmitrievich Golovlev takes charge of her upbringing. After some time, she becomes one of the best figure skaters in the Republic of Tatarstan, and later receives a ticket to the Russian national team. At the age of 14 he received fourth place at a competition in Belarus, and then 12 at the national championship.

In 2010, our heroine decided to try herself in pair skating, so she sets off to conquer Moscow. Here Yegor Chudin becomes her partner. The young people came under the care of the renowned coach Nina Moser, who closely took charge of the young talent. After just a year of training, the new team was accepted into the Russian national team.

At the end of 2011, the athletes separated, Chudin decided to engage in commercial skating and participate in ice shows, and Zhenya dreamed only of awards in professional sports. For this reason, she has a new partner, Vladimir Morozov, with whom she will go a long way full of victories and defeats.

Childhood and youth

Evgenia was born on December 17, 1994 in Kazan. Immediately after the birth of their daughter, the girl’s parents separated. The general public knows nothing about the reasons for this incident - in any case, this is not the most important element of Tarasova’s biography. She has a sister. Both girls were raised by their mother and grandmother; a man’s hand was practically not involved in their lives.

Having moved to Moscow, Evgenia Tarasova continued to be under the close supervision of her mother and grandmother and lived in the Olympic reserve dormitory

Evgenia’s grandmother hoped that her child would become a professional dancer - she especially wanted to see her granddaughter in the ballroom direction. But in the small suburb of Kazan there was not a single section, so Tarasova attended a sports school for a different purpose. As the story of the figure skater’s development goes, at the stadium in her native Derbyshi, a skating coach noticed her in early childhood - he told the girl’s mother that Evgenia had all the makings of a future champion.

Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov

In 2012, the girl met her new colleague Vladimir Morozov, and a subtle connection arose between them, which pulled them towards each other. Stanislav Morozov became the couple's coach. This cooperation bore first fruit the very next season, when they took the Warsaw Cup in 2013. This was followed by a silver medal at the Russian Junior Championships. Then they enter the world stage and become fifth in the championship, and at the Universiade, which was held in Italy, they confidently took second place.

The return to their homeland was unsuccessful; in the Russian Championship they take last place in the rankings. In the free program, her partner falls somewhat, and once even drops the skater. According to the athletes, the reason was simple fatigue and lack of rest. But a month later the guys rehabilitated themselves and received a gold medal at the Russian Youth Championship, and then silver at the World Championship. After the end of the next rental season, they again change the coaching staff to Alexander Hekalo.

In 2014, under the leadership of a new mentor, they won silver at the Grand Prix in Canada. At the European Championships the couple receives bronze medals. At the championship in China they ended up only in sixth place. 2021 begins with successful performances, young people receive gold at the Ondrej Nepela Championship. This was followed by bronze in America and silver in the French Trophy. In the same year they become leaders in the European Grand Prix finals. Active preparations for the 2021 Olympic Games were underway.

The audience was delighted with the figures and the passion that the guys showed on the ice, so rumors began to circulate online about the partners’ love affair outside the ice surface. Joint photographs of happy athletes kissing began to appear on Instagram. In one interview, Morozov said that they actually have a close relationship. Our heroine has practically no free time and has not yet thought about getting married and having children. All this will come with age, but for now there is a struggle for first place.

Figure skating career

Evgeniya took her first steps in her career at the age of 4. She was enrolled in figure skating at a local sports school. There Tarasova was noticed by a talented and experienced coach, the namesake of the future champion Gennady Sergeevich. The girl ended up in his group, but was soon forced to move to Vyacheslav Golovlev - the first mentor passed away.

At a young age, the talented Tarasova became a member of the Russian national team. Already at the age of 14, she took first places in the top in international competitions and showed great promise. When Evgenia turned 16, she decided to move to Moscow and try her hand at pairs figure skating. This turned out to be a fateful step - the girl conquered the sphere instantly.

Nina Moser became the first mentor of Tarasova and her partner Yegor Chudin. After a year of training with a talented coach, the couple joined the Russian national team. However, the union did not last long: the guys’ goals turned out to be different. While Evgenia dreamed of great sport and significant achievements, her colleague threw himself headlong into a commercial ice show.

Throughout their careers, Evgenia and Vladimir successfully passed all tests, even becoming gold medalists at the Russian Championship. At the level of their native country, Europe and the world, athletes conquered any heights. The 2021 Olympics gave Tarasova and Morozov silver.

Are Fedor Klimov and Evgenia Tarasova dating?

More recently, there were fears that the happy couple had separated, but in love terms. According to the latest news from the Internet, Evgenia spent the weekend with figure skater Fedor Klimov tete-a-tete in Sochi, and Vladimir Morozov was abroad at that moment. Zhenya herself does not give official comments. These are just rumors, but there is a possibility that they are unreliable. We can only hope that they will not diverge professionally.

Evgenia Tarasova: biography

Although figure skating competitions are filled with tenderness and romance, and the participants seem like weightless nymphs who soar above the ice, the behind the scenes of this sport is amazing. Athletes have to endure grueling hours of training and lifestyle restrictions for the moments of glory that they ultimately achieve.

On February 14, millions of viewers froze near their TV screens, the broadcast began and the voice of a commentator was heard. Career

Tarasova quickly became one of the most successful single figure skaters in Tatarstan and joined the Russian junior team. After good performances at several competitions in 2010, the girl moved to Moscow at the invitation of Yegor Chudin, who became her partner. Nina Mikhailovna Moser began training the couple.

After joining the Russian national team in 2011, Chudin unexpectedly decided to go into ice shows, while Zhenya strived for great sporting achievements. Some time later, Zhenya paired up with Vladimir Morozov and began working with the honored coach of Russia Stanislav Morozov. The beginning of the history of this sports couple was very successful: they won the Warsaw Cup in the 2012-2013 season, became fifth at the 2013 Youth World Championships and fourth in the Junior Grand Prix final in Japan, and improved their results at the Universiade in Italy and took second place.

After Vladimir’s unfortunate falls at the 2014 Russian Championships in Sochi and the last eighth place, the couple managed to overcome the failure and show brilliant results at the Russian junior championships, and then the Junior World Championships in Sofia (gold and silver). Soon Evgenia and Vladimir began working with Andrei Hekalo, who was joined by five-time world champion, German athlete Robin Szolkowy (former partner of current Olympic champion Alena Savchenko). The alliance with experienced professionals has borne fruit - the guys increasingly began to take prizes and show amazing results in every season.

Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov

In the pre-Olympic season, the couple performed very well, which ensured their participation in the Olympics in Pyeongchang.

In January 2017, Tarasova and Morozov won the European Championship for the second time in a row, ahead of the legendary pair Alen Savchenko - Bruno Massot.

In the spring of 2021, the couple took bronze at the World Championships and silver at the 2017 Russian Championships, where the guys lost only a point to the more experienced Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov.

On the way to great victories, Evgenia was not broken even by the leg injury that she received three weeks before participating in the World Team Championship in Tokyo. This did not stop the couple from performing well and bringing the team enough points for a silver medal.
