Alexander Evgenievich Tsekalo was born on March 22, 1961 in the capital of Ukraine - Kyiv. The boy's family was very simple: his parents worked as thermal power engineers. Mother is Elena Leonidovna Volkova, Jewish by nationality, and father is Evgeny Borisovich Tsekalo, Ukrainian. This international family had two children. Alexander has an older brother, Victor. He is also a creative person, and the people of Ukraine know him as a talented actor.

After one of their performances, the “Hat” participants received an offer to enter the Kiev Variety and Circus School, and immediately into the second year. The young artists accepted this offer and in 1985 received college diplomas . The entire quartet was sent to work in Odessa at the disposal of the cultural department. The guys became artists of the Odessa Philharmonic. For some time, Alexander Tsekalo served in the “Caricature” - Variety Theater, where the young artist worked together with Ilya Noyabrev , a famous Ukrainian actor.

Cabaret duet "Academy"

In 1985, Alexander Tsekalo, together with Lolita Milyavskaya, created their own cabaret duet “Academy”. And we immediately went to conquer Moscow. The capital met young artists with difficulties and disappointments. However, the drive and determination of Tsekalo and Milyavskaya made it possible for young people not only not to break down from trials, but also to take their strong place on capital television.
