Where did you study

At school, Dmitry developed a love for literature. Komarov began writing content for magazines. At the age of 17, Dmitry became interested in journalism and took a position at Telenedel. He was involved in editing exclusive materials.

After completing secondary school, Komarov entered the university. During his student years, he continued to write articles for publications. Collaborated with men's glossies. During his first years at university, Komarov worked as a special correspondent for Izvestia in Ukraine.

In his third year at university, Dmitry realized that he wanted to connect his life with journalism.

The guy received 2 diplomas. He was also enrolled in the University of Arts and Culture.

Dmitry Komarov took the initiative to raise funds for the treatment of seriously ill children by refusing to buy small things like a cup of coffee every day. His campaign is called “Cup of Coffee”. According to Dmitry, all public figures are obliged to help those in need. This is especially true for those who have many followers on social networks. He believes that such people should thank life for everything they have and help those who are less fortunate.

The action was supported by designer Andre Tan and singer Nadezhda Dorofeeva. Together with Adre, Dmitry created a soft toy, the proceeds from the sale of which will go to charity.

In total, over 25 million UAH were collected during the “Cup of Coffee” campaign. As a result, the lives of 5 seriously ill children were saved.

How I started traveling

Already at the institute, I traveled a lot to small towns, became acquainted with other cultures and customs.

Dima liked solo trips. He is convinced that solitude is a key factor in allowing one to reconnect with nature and concentrate on sensations. The Ukrainian flag became a protective amulet during expeditions.

During the expeditions, Dima became interested in photography. He began creating reports and photo exhibitions from the most interesting and remote places. In 2005, he shared pictures with people from different parts of Kenya.

Subsequent exhibitions were from Nepal and India. In 2009, the presenter received permission to film the cremation. One of the journalist’s trips was included in the Book of Records of Ukraine. He drove more than 20 thousand km in 3 months.

Creation of the show “The World Inside Out”

Dima decided to create an entertainment show. He wanted to show people not tourist places, but remote ones. Exclusives from wild tribes, unique animals, customs and traditions became interesting to viewers.

The program “The World Inside Out” is broadcast on the “1+1” channel. All episodes are shown by the all-Russian channel “Friday!”

The first episode of the program took place in 2010. It was dedicated to Cambodia. The program was a resounding success. The audience was interested in the adventures of a young man. He talked about the life of tribes, showed brothels, and ate poisonous tarantulas.

A year after the release of the debut episode of the show, Dmitry prepared a series of programs about India. He and the cameraman visited Kenya and Tanzania. The presenter liked Ethiopia. In the fourth season, the presenter visited Vietnam and then went to Indonesia.

In 2015, the celebrity and his partner visited Mexico. More than a hundred programs were released. Komarov conquered Everest. He shared mystical and fascinating moments.

Travel to China

Programs from the series “The World Inside Out” are broadcast by the “Friday” channel. Since 2014, Dmitry Komarov has been talking about the most unusual traditions of the peoples living in Asian countries. He introduced TV viewers to Cambodia, India, Vietnam, but the most interesting show is still considered the cycle dedicated to China. The uniqueness of the show lies in the fact that the presenter looks at the world not from the point of view of a tourist, but tries to look at what is happening through the eyes of local residents.

Interesting fact! Dmitry Komarov became the first journalist who was allowed by the Indian government to fully film the cremation procedure on the banks of the Ganges.

The entire 11th season was dedicated to stories from the Middle Kingdom. Viewers “attended” the secret training of Shaolin monks, watched how an ice town was being built in Harbin, traveled to inner Mongolia, hunted jellyfish and learned recipes for their preparation. Dmitry Komarov does not hesitate to try all the culinary masterpieces that are offered to him by local residents. But Chinese country cuisine is famous for its unpredictability.

Present and creative plans

In 2021, Komarov turned 37 years old. He spent his birthday with his wife and at the same time took part in the filming. Fellow journalists and actors congratulated the star. Lately, he often posts photos and videos on Instagram and does not forget about two YouTube channels. The man has planned his further travels and is working on new books.

During quarantine, Dmitry traveled a lot with his wife. They visited remote places and had picnics. The happy couple enjoyed the family idyll and soon Komarov will start work and go on a new expedition.

Naive and good-natured

Dmitry Komarov sometimes watches the first episodes of his show, which are shown on TV. When he sees on the screen the “hairy kid” that he was at that time, he wants to make a professional remark to himself. Indeed, today, when Dmitry has ten years of experience in work and filming, he has become a real professional in his field.

Komarov notes that at that time he was just starting his career, did not know what and how to do, and experimented in many ways, just learning how to behave in front of the camera and take pictures. But at the same time, he is pleased to see how good-natured, a little naive, but warm his first issues were, full of childish spontaneity and impressionability.

Appearance

The journalist has an ordinary appearance, but his charisma overcomes everything. He talks interestingly about travel and keeps his body in good shape. He prefers a sporty style in clothes, but often wears shirts.
