Apartments, cars and life of Andrei Malakhov: how the most famous presenter of Russia lives

Scandal after buying a home

In 2012, Andrei Malakhov purchased an apartment measuring 80 square meters for 6,100,000 rubles. The low cost of premises on Ostozhenka aroused the interest of journalists, and the TV presenter himself conducted his own investigation. At the time of purchase, the apartment was removed from the housing stock and no one had been registered there since 1985. Given its status, city officials should have held an auction rather than simply putting the square footage up for sale. It soon turned out that the premises were used by pensioner Irina Mazharova. She referred to the lease agreement, which expired back in 2011. In addition, the Muscovite’s surname was not included in the document. Irina was sure that she had a pre-emptive right to purchase housing and decided to defend it in court. According to the authors of the “Interesting Facts” website, the situation was decided in Andrei’s favor, since he has been living in this apartment for a long time.

Andrey Malakhov's apartment

Andrei Malakhov owns three apartments (combined into one) on Ostozhenka (in a house built in 1926), opposite the Cathedral of Christ the Savior; this area is considered the most elite in Moscow.

Since the apartment is in an old building, Andrey decided to completely redesign and restore it. The design is made in classic minimalism - a combination of black and white colors, the absence of unnecessary furniture.

During the restoration, much of the original arrangement was preserved. So, all the doors were restored and all the windows and heating system were restored. It was also decided not to replace the old plank floors. They were stripped, reinforced with large nails from a flea market, and re-coated.

The only change was made to the living room - it was decided to install a second passage in it to create an isolated office. In Malakhov’s office there is a table from 1932, reissued, as well as an armchair from the 30s, left by the previous owners of the apartment.

Field of restoration Malakhov decided to expand his apartment by adding a one-room apartment next door. And it was precisely with the purchase of this particular one-room apartment in 2012 that a big scandal was associated. In those years, Malakhov managed to buy a one-room apartment with an area of eighty square meters tens of times cheaper than its market value (for only 6 million rubles). There were many rumors and guesses about how he managed to pull off such a profitable deal, but Malakhov himself did not give any precise comments on this matter.

In this part, unfortunately, it was not possible to preserve the original floors and windows. At the time of purchase, there was practically nothing intact in the apartment except for the installed false fireplace.

Malakhov no longer sought to preserve the originality and authenticity of the interiors. For the floor, we selected boards similar to the floor in another part of the apartment. The brickwork was not finished and leveled, but covered with white paint. The kitchen of the old apartment was converted into a modern bathroom, it turned out to be right next to the bedroom.

In the living room with a “fireplace,” Andrei set up a small warehouse for paintings that were donated by friends and fans and that had not yet found a place on the walls of his apartment.

Today, Andrei Malakhov lives most of the time in his wife’s apartment and appears here only when necessary. According to Andrey, Natalya’s apartment is more comfortable and equipped for family life.

Today, apartments at Ostozhenka, 1/9 cost from 29 to 60 million rubles.

Apartment interior

The TV presenter’s home has a minimalist design, but you can find bright accents and interesting decor there. Andrey involved professionals who managed to competently divide the space into functional zones. There is a lot of metal and wood in the apartment, from which almost all the furniture and decor are made.

The bedroom, living room and hallway are made in light shades. Brick was also used in these rooms, and some walls were made to look like bare concrete. The designers have correctly placed color accents, so the housing does not look boring and faded. Each room has living plants, so the interior looks more vibrant and rich. The hallway and seating area are made in dark colors: black and gray. Bright accents, interesting paintings and original furniture set them off, giving the design a zest. The interior is made simply but tastefully. Andrey likes to spend time in this apartment: according to him, the TV presenter is fueled by strength, energy and finds inspiration in the beautiful renovation.

Journalism and television

The creative biography of Andrei Malakhov began to develop after returning to Russia. The young man tried his hand in different directions: he wrote articles for Moscow News, hosted the Style program, collaborated with the Maximum radio station, and later got a job as a correspondent for Channel One.

In 2001, “The Big Wash” was broadcast, where Malakhov managed to attract a large audience with his sparkling talent and professionalism. Already in his youth, Andrei Nikolaevich was awarded the unofficial title of the most stylish TV presenter in the country.

There are many high-profile projects in Andrei Malakhov’s career. In 2009, he became co-host of Eurovision. The principle position of the next project, the “Let Them Talk” program, was scandalous themes from the life stories of people whom they tried to help, delve into the very depths of the problem, find a compromise and resolve the conflict. After a series of such programs that could not pass by the viewer, Andrei Malakhov began to be called nothing less than the face of Channel One.

In 2021, the TV presenter left the project, taking a short break in his career - it was rumored that at that time Malakhov devoted all his attention to his wife, who was expecting a child.

Andrei did not appear on Channel One again. His place in the popular talk show was taken by Dmitry Borisov, and Malakhov himself moved to the Russia-1 TV channel, where he replaced Boris Korchevnikov on “Live Broadcast”. Later, with the participation of the TV presenter, the broadcast of episodes of the new show “Hello, Andrey!” began. Movie and show business stars appeared in the TV journalist's studio. The creative evenings of Russian singers - Nikolai Baskov, Irina Krug, the group "Tender May" and Yuri Shatunov, as well as issues dedicated to drinking songs and chansons, were very popular with the public.

Gauguin Solntsev became a permanent hero of the showman's studio. For the first time he aroused all-Russian interest among the public by marrying Ekaterina Tereshkovich. Subsequently, the family vicissitudes of the star couple were covered in the “Live Broadcast” program.

Boris Korchevnikov and Andrey Malakhov
In the summer of 2021, Andrey Nikolaevich was given his first interview by Bari Alibasov, who had recovered from an induced coma. True, despite the fact that the producer warmly greeted the TV presenter, later he could not recognize Malakhov.

For several years in a row, in his programs, the television journalist covered the topic of Lyubov Uspenskaya’s relationship with her daughter. In 2021, Malakhov released a program about Dr. Andrei Pavlenko. The doctor devoted his life to helping people suffering from cancer, but he himself was unable to overcome the disease.

The TV journalist maintains a personal page on Instagram, where he announces the most interesting episodes of his programs. In addition, since 2011, the Live Broadcast YouTube channel has been operating, which is also popular with the public.

Andrei Nikolaevich himself rarely becomes a guest on the programs of his colleagues, but in the spring of 2021 he visited the studio of Boris Korchevnikov of the project “The Fate of a Man.”

Cars of Andrey Malakhov

For a long time, the TV presenter did not have a driver’s license, so he used the services of a driver. Closer to the age of 40, Andrei received a license and began to drive independently, but does not risk getting behind the wheel of his most expensive cars. Malakhov’s first car, which journalists learned about, was a business-class Chrysler 300C. This is a rather rare model, the cost of which reaches 2,000,000 rubles. Andrey loves it for its comfort and spaciousness, so he is not going to part with it.

The Audi A8 is the TV presenter's favorite, which he drives himself. Andrey bet Ksenia Sobchak on the same car; at that time, its purchase cost at least $100,000.

Andrey's most expensive car is a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Most often, it is parked in the garage, and the TV presenter himself does not get behind the wheel, but trusts the ride to his driver.

Andrei Malakhov is often accused of trying to create sensations out of the blue or provoke guests of his own programs. But you definitely can’t blame him for one thing – lack of taste. The interior of his apartment and choice of cars are direct proof of this.

Childhood and youth

Andrei Malakhov was born under the zodiac sign Capricorn in January 1972, into an intelligent family. The mother of the future TV star is the best kindergarten teacher in the city of Apatity (Murmansk region), and later its head.

His father is a geophysicist who specialized in searching for fossils on the Kola Peninsula. According to Malakhov, both parents were distinguished by their gentleness and delicacy in their communication. Andrei inherited these qualities from them in full.

The TV presenter himself does not disclose his nationality, but it is known that his distant relatives on his father’s side live in Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and the North Caucasus, and on his mother’s side in North and South America.

At the music school, which the boy attended for violin class, he did not shine with talent, so the teachers quickly found something for Andrei to do - at concerts the student was always the leader. As a schoolboy, he studied in the same class with Evgeny Rudin, who became known as DJ Groove.

The friendship of the crazy kids did not affect Malakhov’s academic performance - the young man graduated from school with a silver medal.
