Biography
Andrei Arshavin was born on May 29, 1981 in Leningrad. Even as a child, his parents instilled in him a love of football - Andrei's father Sergei Arshavin played at the amateur level for the plant where he worked, and his mother Tatyana took her son to the Smena school when he was 7 years old. This is how Arshavin’s football biography began.
While training at Smena, Andrey also trained in the checkers section at the House of Pioneers. Moreover, he made such outstanding progress in the board game that his coach persuaded him to focus on checkers. Nevertheless, Arshavin made a choice in favor of football.

The boy’s first coach was Viktor Vinogradov. It was he who saw the potential in Andrei and taught him the basics of football. From the age of 11 until his graduation from Smena, the player was already coached by Sergei Gordeev.
Both coaches recalled Arshavin’s difficult character. At the age of 9, Andrei was offended by Vinogradov for his refereeing decision and began to boycott training. And a little later, Arshavin was kicked out of school - having received a B, he tore up the magazine, unable to prove that he was worthy of a better grade.
However, despite all the difficulties of adolescence, Andrei Arshavin successfully went through all the youth teams of Smena and at the age of 16 began playing for the main team. And a year and a half later, Zenit became interested in the young football player.
Childhood and youth
Little information has been provided about the early biography of Tatyana Ivanovna, who celebrates her birthday on November 24th. The woman lived surrounded by sports fans. Not only the first husband Sergei and only son, but also his brother Dmitry felt a craving for football. The latter studied at the same Smena youth sports school where Andrei Arshavin began his career and, although he did not grow into a big player, he always worked in this field.

After school, the graduate became a student at the Leningrad Technical School of Light Industry, upon graduation she got a job in the famous knitting studio on Nevsky Prospekt “Death to Husbands”. The services of the workshop's dressmakers, which in the post-war years became a symbol of luxury, were once used by Klavdiya Shulzhenko, Lyubov Orlova, Faina Ranevskaya and Alla Tarasova.
In 1996, the talented seamstress was invited to the position of general director of Modul, one of the first textile agencies in the city that worked with custom-made collections of fabrics from European manufacturers. Later she took the same post at the Module Plus warehouse.
Arshavin at Zenit
Andrei Arshavin ended up at Zenit in 1999. At first he was sent to gain experience in the reserve team, which played in the second division. However, even there it was difficult for the light and short 18-year-old guy to get used to it - the player clearly lacked “physics”.
“Andrey had gaps in his physical training,” said Zenit reserve coach Lev Burchalkin. — In “Smena” he walked, figuratively speaking, like a king, played on clean balls. It was difficult for him to readjust and get used to our requirements. Lost the ball - return it, get to your opponent. I think the transfer to the flank (although I understood that this was not Arshavin’s place) benefited Andrey.”

However, it didn’t take Arshavin long to get used to it. Already on August 2, 2000, he made his debut for Zenit in the semi-final of the Intertoto Cup against Bradford (3:0). Soon the inexperienced striker established himself in the squad and gradually turned into a real club legend.
Arshavin helped Zenit not only win the Russian championship three times, but also take the UEFA Cup, and then the UEFA Super Cup. In 2008, Andrei was so good that he took 6th place in the voting for the Ballon d'Or, behind only the stars Ronaldo, Messi, Torres, Casillas and Xavi.
At the same time, European top clubs began to take a serious interest in the Russian. Zenit received offers for Arshavin from Barcelona and Inter, but eventually sold the player to Arsenal.
On a cot
The family broke up when Andrei just started studying. “It was hard for him - the “loss” of his dad. Although they still communicated while Sergei was alive. I never forbade him from doing this. He couldn't understand what divorce was. He asked: “Mom, will I not have a dad now?” I answered: “What are you talking about, Andryusha! You will have him, only he will live in another place...” He did not take either side, but simply accepted the situation as it is. He didn't divide us. I once spoke unflatteringly about his dad. He said: “Mom, dad never speaks badly of you!” After that, I began to do the same... He was always persistent and stubborn. I was told: “Stubborn children come from stubborn parents.” I thought: “Something is wrong here!” - and began to change herself... He always knew that both parents loved him and still love him.” Andrei himself later confirmed the same: “Mom did not interfere with our meetings with dad. She said that their relationship was one thing, but ours was completely different.” Despite the divorce, Sergei Arshavin continued to raise his son, came to the sports school and rejoiced at his success. He died when Andrei turned 23. “When I had a second husband (Andrei’s stepfather - author), we moved to his Khrushchev-era building. But then Andryusha and I had to return to the same communal apartment...” They spent another three years there. Arshavin Jr. was already in the Zenit team. And once again he showed his character. “We took with us only clothes and sports uniforms. They tied everything up in a bundle and brought it to our room. And then there was a room - bare walls and an old refrigerator. We slept on the floor. Then Sergei brought a cot, and Andryusha began to sleep on it. A week later, my son received his first salary, we bought a sofa. Later, friends collected some belongings for us - whoever found what. There was no TV for a long time, the telephone was in the hallway... And we left the apartment, where we had a mobile phone, a computer (this was still at that time!) and in general everything that a teenager needed for a comfortable life. But we still lived a normal life, even in a communal apartment, did not feel inferior, and were happy with what we had. They survived because they knew how to be content with little. And only a few years later I found out what my son was experiencing then. He never reproached me! He didn’t even raise an eyebrow, as if that was the way it should be. But in fact, it was very difficult for him to survive such a change in life...” At Zenit, he was twice deprived of the captain’s armband because of his character. “Behind this face of a harmless child,” one of the foreign magazines accurately noted, “there lies a contradictory personality.” He admitted it himself: “I was a smart boy, but a slob. The behavior was terrible...” The mother was called to the teacher more than once. “She had to blush with shame for me...” In the second grade, he was kicked out of school altogether - for tearing up the class magazine. “I thought that they gave me a B undeservedly, that I was worthy of an A...” I asked how Tatyana Arshavina managed to “cope with the elements.” She replied: “I made a lot of mistakes at first. But there were people who pointed them out to me, and I tried to correct them. My task was not to break his gift, his character. Andrei was overactive, truth-seeking, and did not agree with the double standards at school. And I myself was brought up with a tight grip. Slaps on the ass, prohibitions, raised tone... I realized: you can only come to an agreement with your son amicably. And in order to achieve victory, you need to be a psychologically free person... Then they probably could have broken him, but I didn’t do it. She acted with persuasion, and it ultimately bore fruit...”
He once admitted: “What I fear most in life is the loss of loved ones.” This is more important to him than anything else - even football.
Arshavin at Arsenal
For the transfer of Andrei Arshavin, Zenit received 16.5 million euros. The Russian ended up at Arsenal on February 2, 2009. While meeting his teammates, Arshavin cheated and refused to follow the team’s tradition of singing a song.
“At Arsenal, new players have to sing a song at their first meeting with the team. But I didn’t sing: I resolved the issue through experience. I asked if they had won anything in the last year; the guys answered no. And I won, so I'm sorry. “Everyone else who crossed after me sang,” Arshavin said in an interview with “Komment.Show”.

The Russian did not immediately take root at Arsenal - at first, Arshavin sat on the bench. However, he then rose to the starting lineup of the London club and became one of the favorites of the Gunners fans. Many London fans still remember how Andrei made a poker score in the game with Liverpool (4:4) at Anfield.
In total, Arshavin spent four years at Arsenal and took part in 145 matches.

Alisa escaped criminal proceedings, but in November 2021, Arshavin announced his retirement in an interview for the Kairat YouTube channel. On November 11, the club was supposed to meet with FC Shakhtar - this is the team’s last match with the participation of a Russian football player, whose contract will expire after him.
“Of course, I won’t move anywhere,” Andrey shared, adding that he would like to train with the Kairat mini-football team. In total, Arshavin played more than a hundred games in the Kazakh club, scored 30 goals and made 37 assists.
Arshavin in the Russian national team
Arshavin made his debut in the Russian national team at the age of 20 - on May 17, 2002 in a friendly match against Belarus. Before the 2004 European Championship, he never managed to gain a foothold in the national team, so he missed the tournament in Portugal.
But the next Euro was triumphant for him. First, Arshavin scored a goal in the game with Sweden, and then scored a goal and provided an assist in the legendary quarterfinals with Holland and helped the Russian team win the bronze medal of the tournament.

Unfortunately, Andrei’s career in the national team did not work out further. Arshavin was unable to participate with the national team in the 2010 World Cup, and Euro 2012 turned out to be a real failure for our team. Russia failed to advance through the group with Greece, Poland and the Czech Republic, and after the end of the tournament, Arshavin said the famous phrase for which he was criticized by fans: “Your expectations are your problems.”
That same year, he retired from the national team.
Arshavin's wife - Yulia Baranovskaya
Andrei Arshavin met his first wife Yulia Baranovskaya in 2003 on Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg. The young student took a liking to the football player, and soon they began dating.

Over the next nine years, the couple had three children. Arshavin and Baranovskaya decided to name their first son Artem. The daughter of Andrei and Yulia received the name Yana, and the youngest son received the name Arseny. Despite the fact that the lovers had children, they were in no hurry to formalize the relationship. Arshavin and Baranovskaya did not sign even after moving to the UK - as a result, Yulia had to apply for a visa in a roundabout way.
The football player and TV presenter lived in a civil marriage for about 10 years until their union broke up. The reason for the break in relations was Arshavin’s new romance with Alisa Kazmina. When Yulia was pregnant with her third child, Andrei called her on the phone and informed her of his desire to separate.
Refused to pay child support
Photo: EG/Kudryavtseva Larisa Having given birth to her third child - son Arseny - Yulia went to court to force Arshavin to pay child support for three children. Unexpectedly, this was not an easy task.
Andrei was angry and did not want to pay anything. He even planned to take away the St. Petersburg apartment from his former common-law wife and his own children.
In the end, succumbing to the persuasion of his lawyer, Arshavin agreed to leave Yulia and the children the St. Petersburg three ruble ruble and pay half of his income. Everything is according to the law. At this point, communication between the former spouses stopped.

“Let’s analyze the lineup”: Arshavin compared his former Zenit teammates to firewood. The ex-Russian national team player laughed at his teammates.
Arshavin's wife - Alisa Kazmina
Andrei Arshavin had known his future wife, journalist Alisa Kazmina, since the early 2000s. For several years they crossed paths at various events, and then a romance broke out between them. “It was love at first sight,” admitted Kazmina. For the sake of Andrei Arshavin, Alisa left her husband, entrepreneur Alexei Kazmin, with whom she raised her children - daughter Alisa and son Alexei.
Arshavin and Kazmina got married on September 1, 2021. A few months later, Andrei began to think about divorce, but the marriage was saved for some time. In February 2021, the couple had a daughter, Yesenia.

The marriage of Arshavin and Kazmina broke up at the beginning of 2021. Alisa admitted that she was tired of her husband’s constant cheating, so she decided to divorce Andrei.
After Alisa Arshavina’s divorce, doctors diagnosed a rare disease - necrosis (cell damage that leads to premature death of tissue in the body). The girl hid her diagnosis from the public for a long time, but then, when her changes in appearance became noticeable, she spoke about her illness.

“In a matter of months, autoimmune necrosis developed. I got to the operating table on time, when there were from two hours to two days left. We performed two operations on the head, on the sphenoid sinus. The doctors cut out everything they could. There were literally millimeters left to the brain. “Now I only rely on injections, the pain is terrible. I don’t despair, although sometimes... it’s very scary... Unfortunately, there is no talk of any amendment,” Kazmina admitted in January 2021.
On March 22, 2021, Alisa Kazmina came to Andrei Malakhov’s show and accused him of all mortal sins. Popular TV presenter Andrei Malakhov harshly criticized ex-footballer of the Russian national team and Zenit Andrei Arshavin.
“With all due respect, this man was the face of the Russian national team. He educates the younger generation. Parents bring their children to him. What can this bastard teach them?! Just call her, just come, hold her hand! Nobody demands your money. Stick them in one place!” - said Malakhov in the program “Andrey Malakhov. Live".
“Stick your money in one place!” Malakhov called Arshavin a bastard, who ignored the serious illness of his ex-wife

Alice was married at that time, but this did not stop the lovers. Just like Yulia Baranovskaya’s third pregnancy. She learned about the parallel life of her common-law spouse when she was in her fifth month of expecting a child.
A little earlier, Arshavin re-registered all the family’s financial assets in his name. Yulia had nothing but children. She never saved money or thought about the future. She simply trusted her husband, loved her and thought that he loved her too.

“I haven’t seen my older children for 6 years or even 6.5 years. Since last year, I began to meet with them periodically. I haven’t seen my youngest daughter [from my second wife Alisa Kazmina] for a year and a half. You may also have to not see her for a very long time. But there were objective and subjective reasons for this.

There are no agreements. And in principle, I have seen my first wife Yulia once now in 7 years, and then by accident. I would have preferred not to see her that time either. It's just that the children are older and I can communicate with them directly. This makes the task easier. Plus, I often visit Moscow, where they live,” said Arshavin.
Personal life of Arshavin
Arshavin's personal life has always been bright and eventful. Andrei's novels with Yulia Baranovskaya and Alisa Kazmina were covered in great detail in the press. However, sometimes journalists also wrote about the football player’s fleeting affairs.
When Arshavin played at Zenit, he was credited with a secret affair with model Ekaterina. Allegedly, Andrei met the girl on his birthday and dated her over the next year. And when Arshavin played for Arsenal, the British tabloids wrote about Andrei’s relationship with model Leilani Dowding, who was ranked 89th in the ranking of the sexiest women in the world according to FHM. However, it soon became clear that this novel was just a rumor.
But Arshavin’s relationship with Kazakh model Olga Semenova was confirmed. When the footballer played for Kairat, a video circulated on the Internet in which the player and the model were intimately communicating in a restaurant. Of course, Kazmina soon saw this video. They say that it was because of him that the relationship between Andrei and Alisa began to collapse.

Arshavin’s last known novel today was his relationship with the girl Tatyana Kozyrnova. In December 2021, the ex-wife of Zenit and Russian national team striker Alexander Kerzhakov, Milana Tyulpanova, posted a video from her friend’s birthday and declassified the footballer’s affair.
Kerzhakov’s ex-wife filmed Arshavin with a new girl. They hugged and joked at the birthday party: video
