Fateeva's loneliness: why did the great actress send her own grandson to an orphanage?

Childhood of Natalia Fateeva

Natalya Fateeva was born in Kharkov on December 23, 1934. The girl’s father, Nikolai Demyanovich, was a military man, and her mother, Ekaterina Fateeva, worked as the director of a fashion studio. The family was creative: dad played the piano, and his aunt sang in the church choir.

The star has been interested in vocals since childhood and demonstrated her abilities to her family. She dreamed of a big stage, but her parents brought the girl back to earth and insisted on the importance of education. After primary school, Natasha was still sent to a music school. However, while learning to play the piano, the girl of her own free will decided to go into sports - Fateeva was involved in athletics. A few years later, the dream of the stage returned and the girl decided to enroll in a theater university.

In 1952, the future star entered the Kharkov Theater Institute. Natalya passed the entrance exams with flying colors, but after that the student was expelled - Natalya Fateeva does not talk about the reason. Having abandoned everything except her dream of performing on stage, Fateeva goes to conquer Moscow. The first time, the girl entered VGIK on the course of Sergei Gerasimov. Moreover, the master took Natalya straight into the 4th year - this has never happened in the history of the university. In 1958, the actress successfully graduated from VGIK.

Photo by Natalia Fateeva before and after plastic surgery

Due to her delightful appearance, at one time there were rumors among fans of the actress’s talent that she went under the scalpel of a plastic surgeon. However, photos of Natalya Fateeva before and after plastic surgery cannot be found, because the actress has never resorted to interventions in her appearance from plastic surgery.

In one of her interviews, the actress shared the secret of her beautiful appearance. Natalia goes in for sports every day. He follows a strict diet, excluding desserts, flour and fatty foods from the diet - a standard, in general, recommendation for everyone who wants to lose weight. However, some transformation did occur; the actress admitted that she once had her upper eyelids corrected.

Path to glory

Natalya Fateeva devoted herself to two theaters - the Film Actor Studio Theater and the Ermolova Theater. The actress gained great fame thanks to films. The actress’s film debut was her role in the film “There’s Such a Guy,” which was released in 1956.

After that, the directors lined up: everyone dreamed of directing Natalya Fateeva. The incredible beauty of the actress helped them lead the audience away from errors - both in the script and in the direction. The audience looked with all their eyes at Fateeva, whose charm took their breath away. Natalya Fateeva starred in the film “Three Plus Two” with Andrei Mironov, in “Day of an Angel” and “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed” by Stanislav Govorukhin and in the famous “Gentlemen of Fortune”.

Relationships with children

Although Fateeva condemned her ex-husbands for their indifference to their own children, she herself was not an ideal mother. Yes, she provided them financially, but did not give them love and maternal warmth. She sent very little Volodya to Kharkov to live with her parents - neither Natalya nor the child’s father, Vladimir Basov, had time to raise him. For some time, the boy considered his grandparents to be his mom and dad.

When it was time to go to school, Natalya took her son to Moscow. This (according to the already adult Vladimir Basov Jr.) was the end of his happy childhood. Volodya’s mother sent him to a boarding school, from where she only took him on weekends, and even then not every time. His father appeared even less often in his life. Only when the boy’s stepfather Boris Egorov received a 5-room apartment did Fateeva take her son home (during the divorce, she sued this apartment from Egorov).

Immediately after graduating from school, Volodya married his classmate Olya and, of course, brought his wife to Natalya Nikolaevna’s house. But the mother could not endure their presence for long and kicked them out. She was not embarrassed that young people had nowhere to go and had no money for rented housing. When her son hinted at dividing the apartment, his mother stopped all communication with him for several years.

The youngest daughter, Natasha, suffered the same fate - in early childhood, exile to Kharkov to live with her grandparents, and then complete freedom under the same roof with her mother, who was always busy with work and personal life. True, after the death of her husband, their grandmother moved to them from Kharkov.

When Natasha got into trouble - she became pregnant at the age of 16, she did not understand for a long time what was happening to her, and then she was afraid to confess to her mother. As a result, the deadline for abortion was missed. Natalya Nikolaevna strictly forbade her mother to tell her eldest son about this, but the elderly woman let it slip. She also informed Vladimir that Natasha was taken to the maternity hospital.

When the next day Vladimir called his mother and asked who was born to his sister, she replied that it did not matter, because the child died anyway. But the young man sensed the lie. He arrived at the maternity hospital and found out that his sister had given birth to a son, but since she was underage, Fateeva had already written a refusal to give up the child (despite the doctor’s warning that the boy was born very weak and was unlikely to live in the baby’s home for more than two weeks).

Enraged, Vladimir came to his mother and threatened that if he and his sister got rid of the baby, he would call all the journalists he knew and tell them what the famous Fateeva did to her own grandson. It worked. Natalya Nikolaevna contacted the father of Maxim (her daughter’s boyfriend), Mikhail Koroptsov, a famous cameraman, and informed him of the birth of the child. Maxim himself had no idea about Natasha’s pregnancy. Mikhail and his wife Tatyana will decide to adopt their own grandson after Natasha refuses to marry Maxim. This is such a heartbreaking story...

Evgeniy (that’s the boy’s name) is already 34 years old. He is a professional photographer. He does not consider Natalya Fateeva to be his grandmother and does not intend to communicate with her. Not surprising.

Vladimir Basov Jr. followed in the footsteps of his famous father and also became a famous film director, and his son Ivan graduated from the Humanitarian University and is now translating Hollywood films into Russian.

Natalya Egorova worked as a manager in a foreign company, married a man much older than herself. She and her husband have no children. Now he lives in a country house in Balashikha, takes care of the house.

Natalya Nikolaevna did not feel guilty before the children. On the contrary, she believed that she had fulfilled all her obligations to them and earned the right to live the way she wanted. She traveled the world and took part in various political movements in the 90s. She headed the Board of Trustees of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Actors (this organization once helped Oleg Strizhenov , Lydia Smirnova , Tatyana Lioznova , etc.).

Personal life

Natalya Fateeva first got married early - her chosen one was a classmate at the Kharkov Theater Institute, Leonid Tarabarinov. However, the marriage broke up immediately after the actress moved to the capital.

Fateeva’s second husband, director Vladimir Basov, was 12 years older than her. Natalya met him on the set of the film “Incident at Mine Eight.” The young people got married in 1959 and the same year their son Volodya was born. Due to constant reasons for jealousy and long sprees, the director Fateeva decided to file for divorce.

For the third time, pilot-cosmonaut Boris Egorov proposed marriage to the actress. For the sake of the beautiful Natasha, the man divorced his wife. In 1969, the couple had a daughter, Natalya. Five years later, the young people divorced - love was mired in the everyday life of family life. After breaking up, Egorov stopped being interested in his daughter’s life.

“Natasha saw her father in a coffin for the first time. We separated when she was not even two years old, and during all this time he never appeared. I paid exactly the amount of alimony that was due, and besides that, I never gave anything to the child,” Natalya Nikolaevna confessed.

After Natalya Fateeva, Egorov began dating another Soviet actress, Natalya Kustinskaya.

“At first she was apparently jealous that my husband was a film director, then she was haunted by the fact that I married an astronaut. And when he turned out to be unnecessary, she took him into her hands. Kustinskaya claims that she gave birth to a son from Boris Egorov, although this is a child from her previous marriage. Even when Egorov left her and married someone else, she still told something,” Fateeva recalled.

Natalia Fateeva's ex-husband - Leonid Tarabarinov

The first man who prompted the actress to formalize an official union was Natalya Fateeva’s ex-husband, Leonid Tarabarinov. However, winning the actress’s heart was not enough, and the couple lived in a family union for quite a short time. Natalya decided to hide the reason for the breakdown of family relationships from the media.

After the divorce, the actress decides to go to the capital in order to “conquer” her. An interesting fact is that the marriage took place during their student years and the newlyweds lived very modestly. And after the divorce, Tarabarinov himself married a second time and had a daughter from his second wife.

Why did Fateeva leave her grandson?

In the mid-80s, Natalya Fateeva became a grandmother: her son Vladimir gave her a grandson, Ivan. A year later, 16-year-old daughter Natasha gave birth! Fateeva was against the birth of a child - she did not want her girl, having not seen life and not received an education, to doom herself to washing diapers. The actress insisted that her daughter send the baby to an orphanage. The parents of his failed son-in-law took the boy from there.

Her friends constantly asked her where her grandson was. She brushed off everyone who was interested and said that the baby had some health problems, so he was still in the hospital being treated. Only later did she admit to what she had done.

Now the artist’s grandson is an adult man with his own family - a wife and two children. His name is Evgeny Koroptsov and he has never seen his own grandmother. Zhenya knew nothing about his own birth for many years. Until the age of 25, he considered his father a brother, since his grandparents called themselves parents upon adoption. He is currently 34 years old and works as a cameraman and photographer.

Evgeny Koroptsov does not plan to communicate with the famous grandmother: he cannot forgive the woman for her cruel act. The guy also doesn’t understand his mother’s actions, because she could have taken him away after he came of age.

Natalia Fateeva's ex-husband - Boris Egorov

Natalya Fateeva’s ex-husband, Boris Egorov, was completely different from previous spouses. One of Boris’s most important advantages as a man was his temperament. He himself was a very famous astronaut. He showered Natalya with all sorts of gifts, since he had a decent fortune.

It seemed that there would be no end to happiness, because the married couple endlessly discussed only what aroused the interest of only the two of them. They had a child - a daughter, who was named Natasha, as noted earlier. But still, neither the child nor the short-term idyll that reigned between them saved the marriage from dissolution. Quickly realizing that they had nothing in common except their daughter, they decided to officially separate.
