“It was very interesting for me to work at the Red Queen,” Anna Zdor began the story. — Filming took place in Minsk, Samarkand and Moscow. And we filmed Paris in stunningly beautiful Lviv. My heroine Valentina Yashina is a real person. She had an identical figure to Valentina Tereshkova. So, according to Yashina, they sewed outfits for the first female cosmonaut. Having completed her bright career as a fashion model, by the end of her life, although she had an adult son and grandson, she remained of no use to anyone. And she died completely alone in the cold dacha where she lived for the last six years.

— How did you prepare for the role?

— We were taught to walk on the catwalk correctly. Moreover, they developed a gait not like that of modern fashion models - sharp and aggressive, but the way they walked in the 50s and 60s - smoothly and softly. Model Regina Zbarskaya , the prototype of the main character of the film, introduced the “foot-to-foot” gait into fashion. She had crooked legs, and to hide this defect, she came up with such an unusual solution. At home, returning from filming, I trained every evening so that everything was in my legs - both turns and correct body positioning. My daughter Varvara, she was two years old then and now three and a half, began to repeat everything after me. It got to the point that Varya asked to enroll her in a school for small models, where she now enjoys going. She is my beauty, now she struts dashingly along the catwalk, wearing my heels.

“I call my daughter “my little indigo.” She started speaking at just over a year old. Probably, acting genes are doing their job.

— There were rumors that you do not communicate with Varvara’s dad, actor Alexei Barabash, your ex-husband?

- This is true. He hasn’t seen his daughter for two years, he probably doesn’t need to. I don’t know the reason why he doesn’t participate in the child’s life and doesn’t help her financially. He also has children, but as a mother, I find it difficult to understand this behavior. I don’t say anything bad about my father to my daughter: why turn her against her dad? When she grows up, let her choose whether she wants to communicate with him or not.
