Yakovenko Tatyana Aleksandrovna: biography, career, personal life

Childhood and youth

The future artist was born in August 1964 in the Russian capital. Tatyana Yakovenko’s family had nothing to do with cinema or any other form of art. The little Muscovite went to a regular school, but soon her parents and teachers realized that the girl was a creative person. She had little interest in lessons, but amateur performances, choreography and sports competitions lit a fire in Tanya.

Tatyana Yakovenko in her youth (still from the film “Down with the Cucumber King”)

In middle school, Tatyana Yakovenko participated in school theater productions, feeling free on stage and not embarrassed by the looks of the audience. After graduating from school, the parents themselves suggested that their daughter enter a theater university, without insisting on choosing a “serious profession.” Tanya chose the Higher Theater School over them. B.V. Shchukina. Got in on the first try.

Yakovenko studied under the strict guidance of Tatyana Kopteva, grasping the basics of acting on the fly. After receiving her diploma in 1985, the graduate was enrolled in the troupe of the Comedy Theater at Rosconcert (today the Na Pokrovka Theater).

Tatyana Yakovenko: “I am one of those who prefer money to fame”

She is a producer herself and will not give herself any offense as a creative unit. Over her long career, she managed to combine almost incompatible things, namely her personal life and work. “MK-Boulevard” came to visit the actress and listened to the secrets of her success.

— Tatyana, your new film “Cold Sun” was recently released, where you played a woman who is ready to “sink to the bottom” for the sake of love. Could you do the same?

— Honestly, I don’t know. Thank God I didn’t meet such a person. But for the sake of love, I am capable of a lot, because I cannot imagine my life without love. I feel sorry for people who have not experienced this feeling.

—Have you often met such people?

- I met you. And most often these were women. Love is like talent. Some people have it, some don't. My heroine is a lonely woman with an unsettled personal life, who falls in love with a man younger than herself and does incredible things for the sake of love. It often happens like this with women: until the first time, until the first insult, and then that’s it - she’s not around. And here is all-consuming passion and love. If you look from the outside, thinking sensibly, you can say: how can a woman do such a thing?! It's humiliating! But the fact is that we ourselves do not know what we are capable of doing for the sake of true love. Our film has an unexpected ending. The heroine does not quite go to the end; after all, her beloved has betrayed her so many times. Having sunk to the bottom, she realizes that she can either drown or try to surface. And she comes up. One.

— You once said: “I don’t play for money or fame. This is destiny". What do you see as your destiny?

— I see my purpose in self-realization, people must need me. I had a period when I was unemployed. And there was a feeling that life was disappearing into emptiness, that it was flowing between my fingers. And when I play, rehearse, and am creative, I feel that I live a very fulfilling life.

— If you compare money and fame, what is more important to you?

—Fame can become tiresome at a certain stage. You are recognized everywhere, you must always and everywhere match your image. And this is annoying. I love attention on stage, but in life I am a rather modest person. Therefore, if I choose one of the two, then I will choose money.

— You are not only an actress, but also a producer. How did you decide to do this?

— In 2003, I starred in the film “One Life,” where I became friends with the producers and their families. We communicated a lot, talked, and we came up with the idea of making other films together. It was a dark period, and we wanted to shoot bright and life-affirming films. Our film company is already three years old, we have released several films. With Alexey Golodnitsky and Alexander Litvinov, we look at many things in art in the same way, we have the same tastes and so far we feel comfortable working together.

— Is it true that you lose consciousness from the sound of gunfire?

- Yes, I'm afraid of heights and gunshots. This happened to me. My friends and I went up the funicular, and it was my first time doing it. My little daughter and friend were sitting with me, and my son was riding in front. And no one told us that for the sake of safety we need to lower the barrier-clamp. We are driving, gaining altitude, and I suddenly feel that I am starting to lose consciousness. I hold on to the handrail and think about how I won’t crawl down on my slippery pants and drag the child with me. I fail for a few seconds. It’s good that the son saw and shouted: “Lower that handrail!” When they came down to earth, I became hysterical. At such moments I have no control over myself. Such phobias can be treated with homeopathy, we will have to look into this someday. But on set I can do anything. I even flew a hang glider! I was terribly afraid! But if I need to play, then I turn on and go forward.

— For some time you were considered an exclusively theatrical actress, but then you moved to cinema. That was hard?

— We were theater actresses because there was no cinema. In 1988, I starred in the film “Condemned,” which was followed by a lot of offers, and then in 1989 everything collapsed. At that time, I worked at the Comedy Theater at Rosconcert, and soon, on the basis of our theater, Sergei Artsibashev created the Theater on Pokrovka. I was terribly fascinated by this.

A talented director, magnificent performances, all of Moscow knew us, we traveled abroad, we were young, passionate about creativity and work. Therefore, there was no time for cinema. And then I worked on TV in the programs “You'll Lick Your Fingers” and “Advice from Tanya.” I once interviewed Alexey Guskov. I asked him: “Alexey, you are such a sought-after actor and you became a producer. How could this happen? To which he answered me: “The fact is that first I became a producer, and only then a sought-after actor.” I listened to Guskov’s words and decided that I was already many years old and if I didn’t show myself, then no one would open me. By that time I had certain achievements, I was already an honored artist. All this helped me fit into the role of producer. I started acting in my own films, then they noticed me and began to invite me to other projects. Now is the time that you must first prove what you are capable of.

— Do you have enough work today or would you like more?

- Enough. I act in plays, periodically act in films, and prepare for new projects. I read something all the time, people come to me and give me their scripts and ideas, and I meet them. Then we look for a director, work on the script, conduct casting, and assemble a group. Producing work turned out to be very exciting for me. Finding the material yourself, guessing or not guessing whether the audience will like it - all this gives drive, a feeling of fullness of life.

— In the film “One Life,” where you play with Sergei Bezrukov, you had to hide your pregnancy from the director. Happened?

- No, I went to bed for conservation. I found out about pregnancy during filming. I remember I came to the audition and saw Alexei Nilov, and he was very charming and sociable. And I tell him: “Lyosha, we’re going to audition now, but please don’t spin me around too much. I am pregnant". And he: “Really?!” My Irka is also pregnant. What is your deadline? As it turned out, Irina Klimova and I had the same sentence. Time passed, and a complication began to arise. I’m lying in the hospital, I’m afraid to admit it, I just call my friend: “Don’t tell me where I am. I’ll lie here for a week.” Then the director of the film calls me, who could not understand why my heroine, who has a brain tumor, survives, and says: “Tanya, I understand why she survived. She is pregnant!" I remember I stammered with fear: “Do you already know that I’m pregnant?” And he responded: “Tanka, how great! Give birth, don't think! We’ll postpone the filming, stay in the hospital, save the child.”

- Why do you think he was so happy?

— Moskalenko had two daughters, and he wanted a third. He generally loves children. But it surprised me very much then.

All the teachers at the Shchukin School told us: “If you get pregnant, that’s it, say goodbye to your profession. As soon as a woman becomes pregnant, she fails the course, fails the theater.” This is now a cult of children, but before there were never pregnant women on the covers of magazines, we were kind of silent about it. Therefore, when the director was happy, I literally shed tears. I had a difficult pregnancy, and they decided not to keep me in the hospital. The doctor said so: “If you keep the child, it will only be because God gives it to you.” And I started working. I remember they called me and asked: “Will you come on the night shift?” And I sit and think: should I either go to the hospital or go to filming. And that day I decided for myself that either I would have a child and the main role, or there would be nothing. From that moment on, it was as if something had turned upside down in my mind. Many diseases depend on our psychological mood, on how we program ourselves. A similar story happened on the set of Cold Sun, when I injured my leg out of nowhere. I was put in a cast for two weeks. But filming cannot stop, this means extra money that we don’t have. At that time, I was interested in the works of psychologist Sinelnikov. I looked into his book and read: “A sprained leg is a fear of moving forward.” And then I said to myself: “That’s it. I'm not afraid. There is nowhere to go. No one will play this for me. You need to trust the director, plunge into filming like a whirlwind, film and have fun.” The next day I took off the cast.

- Do you have many girlfriends?

- Enough. And this year I found another one from my childhood. We've been friends since kindergarten. She found me through my sister and called me on my birthday.

— You broke up with two friends. Were they really friends or did they pretend to be them?

“Then it seemed to me that they were my friends.” Very often, friends appear not in trouble, but in joy. Some people find it difficult to cope with the success of another person who was just like you recently. I didn’t quarrel with them and didn’t want to lose them, they made their choice themselves.

— One of them, according to you, allegedly put the evil eye on you. Do you believe this?

- I believe. Negative energy does not go anywhere, just like positive energy. If you come to visit a person with positive energy, you immediately feel how it envelops you. You seem to be charged with this energy, you want to create, create, act. And then I began a chain of failures, at the end of which my dog died. I went to a psychic, brought photographs of all my friends, and he showed me one of them.

— Do you often go to psychics?

- No, I only went twice in my life. The first time I went when I had no roles at all. I gave birth to my first child, came to the theater and for six years did not receive a single role. I was already thinking about changing my profession. Or study to become a psychologist, or to become a journalist. And then one of my friends advised me to go to a psychic to find out if someone had jinxed me. I didn’t believe it then, but I went. And the psychic showed me one of my colleagues, my rival. Previously, I played all the main roles, and then, when I gave birth, she began to play the main roles, already being the wife of the main director.

— In the series “Deal” you played with your friend Alena Yakovleva. Which episodes of your life were included in this film?

— For example, a passionate monologue: “Well, you remember...” Then Alena and I went on vacation to Pitsunda, borrowed money from everyone, and then gave it back within a year. I remember I borrowed from my grandmother. She earned good money from me, and she had an excellent pension. Alena and I have never shared men. If I see that she is being looked after, I will never claim. When Alenka sees that they are starting to look after me, she also steps aside.

— You met Yakovleva at the entrance exams. Did you know then that she was the daughter of a famous actor?

- Of course not. Alena is a little older than me, by that time she had already completed three courses at Moscow University, her mother and stepfather worked in Germany. She dressed very fashionably, so beautiful and tall. I immediately noticed her excellent suit and cheerful face. I remember standing and looking at the list of applicants. Then she runs up to me and randomly says: “Well, did you fail? Oh, so it passed?” We became friends during the construction of the second building of the Shchukin School on Vesnina Street. We worked there for two weeks.

— According to Alena Yakovleva, there wasn’t a day when you didn’t chat with her on the phone. This is true?

- Is it true. You yourself just heard how she called me twice. We're going to the club together tonight. Fate always brought us together. Our children were born at the same time, our apartments were nearby. One day she came to see me, and I said: “Alena, you know, I’m pregnant.” It was 1991. And she answered me: “Are you crazy?!” Such a time! There's shooting in the streets! You’ll go for a walk with a stroller and a brick will fall on your head.” And I: “What are you doing, Yakovleva, what does the brick have to do with it?” Two months pass. Alena married Kirill Kazakov. She comes and says: “Oh, you know, I’m pregnant too.”

- You never talk about your husband. Why?

— I want to keep my personal life for myself. I really don’t like it when people start boasting. Then, as a rule, everything falls apart. My husband is in business, we have been together for a long time. We met in Sochi. Yakovleva and I went to look for our classmates Dasha Mikhailova and Maxim Sukhanov, who then got married. We didn’t find them, of course, but we did find young people. We were sitting on a bench, young people came up to us, and we got to know them.

— You have a son, Vladimir, and a daughter, Alena. How old are they?

- Fifteen and five.

— Did you name your daughter after your friend?

- No. As a child, this was my favorite name, it was the name of my favorite doll. I didn’t know then that I would meet Alena Yakovleva. Besides, I couldn’t stand Tanya, Natasha, or Elen. My entire generation, whoever is not Lena is Tanya, whoever is not Tanya is Natasha. It was as if there were no other names. I wanted to name my daughter Lisa or Sonya, but my men said: “What kind of names are these? Here's Lenochka - it's beautiful! And I: “Not that! Let’s do better then Alena.”

Films and theater

The actress’s creative biography began on the stage of the theater, which was directed by Sergei Artsibashev until 2015. Tatyana plunged headlong into working on stage, enthusiastically got used to the roles and felt like a happy person.

“I was terribly fascinated by this! A talented director, magnificent performances, all of Moscow knew us! We traveled abroad, we were young, passionate about creativity and work.”

The director was jealous of the troupe's artists and did not approve of working in cinema. Therefore, after her first role in the film (an episode in the famous melodrama by Georgy Nathanson “Valentin and Valentina”), Yakovenko appeared on the screens only 4 years later, in 1989. In the crime drama “The Condemned,” she played the girl Zoya, who fell into the hands of former prisoners.

Tatyana Yakovenko (still from the film “Migrants”)

The film attracted the attention of millions of television viewers; the talented director Valery Priemykhov spotted the aspiring film actress and offered her work in the film “Migrants.” The film was released in 1991 and brought Tatyana Yakovenko to the peak of popularity. But cooperation with the master ended with his death, which the actress endlessly regrets.

The filmography of the film actress went on pause for 7 years, which Yakovenko filled with service in the theater. In 1997, viewers saw her in the title role of the Russian-Polish mystical comedy “He Didn’t Tie His Shoes.” Tatyana appeared in the frame with Sergei Makovetsky and Polish colleagues.

Movie roles

Until 2015, the troupe was headed by Sergei Artsybashev. The director turned out to be a man who puts theater above all else. Therefore, he categorically objected to the actress’s interest in cinema. However, back in 1985, Tanya got her first screen role. The girl demonstrated her bright theatrical talent in Georgy Natanson’s film “Valentin and Valentina.”

Four years later, a new film was released with the participation of yesterday’s talented debutante. In it, Tatyana superbly played the role of Zoya, a woman who fell into the hands of former prisoners due to tragic circumstances. A. Marin became her partner, trying to defend the desecrated honor.

Playing the role of Zoe was the reason for the success that came to the actress. Directors paid attention to Yakovenko and began to offer various projects. Tatyana’s talent was clearly demonstrated in such an extraordinary painting as “He Didn’t Tie His Shoes.”

The creators of the Russian-American-Polish film present a fascinating story of the love of a living man for a dead woman. The audience really liked the picture. Yakovenko also took part in a children's film. The film was called “Down with the Cucumber King.”

Personal life

Judging by the photos that appear on the Internet, the actress manages to remain slim today. With a height of 1.61 m, Tatyana Yakovenko’s weight remains within the normal range. It is obvious that the love for sports that appeared in early childhood remains. A page in the name of the artist is registered on Instagram, but it is not verified. For many years, Yakovenko has been friends with his famous colleague Alena Yakovleva, a former classmate at Shchuka.

Tatyana Yakovenko in 2021
Tatyana does not talk about her personal life, for fear of jinxing it. I am sure that boasting about the family idyll ends sadly. It is known that Yakovenko has a happy marriage. The husband is an entrepreneur. The couple met in Sochi. The holiday romance culminated in a wedding and the birth of two children - son Vladimir and daughter Alena. The son followed in his mother’s footsteps and chose cinema, but graduated from the directing department rather than the acting department. The daughter is a schoolgirl.

Family matters

Creative personalities are always surrounded by crowds of fans. And there are a lot of fans around any movie star. Yakovenko also has them. However, by nature she remains a secretive person. The actress and producer does not like to talk about her personal life. It is known that Tatyana’s husband is a businessman. The couple have two children. The whole family lives in the capital.

His twenty-two-year-old son Vladimir is studying at the directing department and dreams of conquering Hollywood. The youngest daughter Alena is still a schoolgirl. She has not yet decided on her future profession. It is possible, however, that the girl will want to continue her acting dynasty.

Energetic and active Tatyana Aleksandrovna is always studying. She knows English perfectly, then learned French. The next step was the decision to learn to play the piano. With these achievements, the actress sets an excellent example for children. They also believe that in life one must constantly move forward and not stand still.

On television, Yakovenko hosted the programs “Advice from Tanya”, “You’ll Lick Your Fingers”, and filmed several fairy tales for the program “Good Night, Kids!” A successful producer, talented performer and presenter, she is also a fatalist.

She believes in what is destined by fate, believing that it is impossible to avoid it. The plus is that Tatyana knows how to make friends, is very sociable and gets along well with people.

Tatyana Yakovenko now

Goroshina participates less and less in new television projects, preferring the theatrical stage to her film career. However, this does not prevent her name from often appearing in news reports. The news story, dated February 2021, turned out to be tragic.

Best Movie Time

Tatyana was able to reaffirm her talent in 1991 while working in the film “Migrants”. The director of the film was Valery Priemykhov.

The film reflects all the difficulties that arise on the path of teenagers after their emigration to a foreign country. The actress had the chance to star again in the melodrama of a talented master a couple of years later. Tatyana has repeatedly told journalists that Priemykhov is the most talented director she has ever met during her work.

The creative tandem ended with the death of the master. After the departure of the outstanding figure, Yakovenko admitted that if it were not for Priemykhov’s death, she would have remained on his team to this day.

The actress disappeared from the screens for two years. After the break, she starred in the film “One Life.” The film was released through the efforts of Vitaly Moskalenko. All scenes were carefully rehearsed, perfected before filming began. As a result of a non-standard decision, it was possible to film the material in just over a month.

According to the plot, the main character was healed from a serious illness and became pregnant. By a happy coincidence, the performer herself realized that she was expecting a baby. This Yakovenko greatly pleased Moskalenko. 2005 was the time of three films. In “The Case of Dead Souls,” Tatyana flashed on the screen in a cameo role.

In the film “Cottage for Sale” she appeared as the main character. Here the performer played together with the famous Alexander Pankratov-Cherny. On top of that, Yakovenko acted as a co-producer. The first film was followed by the production of the films “All for You,” “The Deal,” and “07 Changes Course.”

The actress’s third work was the film “Checkmate”. In 2013, Tatyana reincarnated as the elderly coquette Allochka, the main character of the film “Women’s Day.” And four years later she played a leading role in the film “My Darlings”.
