Childhood and youth

In 1967, Leningrader Anatoly Zhilkin married his beloved Valentina, who at that time already had a son, Rostislav, from a previous marriage, concluded in 1962. Her first husband, Yuri, died early, and the woman remarried, giving her husband an heir, Roma, on October 3, 1968.

The adults raised the boys in strictness, but tried to share love equally. Therefore, the eldest child, whose duties included picking up the youngest from kindergarten, learned that his father was not his own only at the age of 15. A difficult family biography and the suspicion that the brothers have different parents became the subject of discussion on the talk show “Actually” on Channel One on January 14, 2020.

The future celebrity first received knowledge at local school No. 165, and in high school he moved to gymnasium No. 166. Then the guy paid his debt to his homeland by serving in the Lithuanian city of Siauliai in the communications training regiment of the USSR Air Force (military unit No. 5204).

In 1991, he entered the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions at the Faculty of Arts, ending up in the workshop of a talented director, Professor Zinovy Korogodsky. This was preceded by working as a street performer on Moscow's Arbat for two years. According to the actor, he had to “beg on the street” due to difficulties in his relationship with Rostislav. A graduate of the maritime school became addicted to alcohol, and living with him in the same apartment turned out to be unbearable.

While still at the university, the student appeared on the stage of the Theater of Generations (for example, in the play “Under the Green Star”), founded by the main mentor. He also repeatedly participated in international theater festivals held both in Russia and abroad, and took away well-deserved prizes.

Career success

While still studying at the university, he played major and minor roles in his mentor’s theater. These were productions based on classical or modern drama. He has been repeatedly recognized as a laureate of international theater festivals, both outside the country and at home.

The actor has extensive experience working with Russian ballet stars. Worked with the Mansion Theater. In 2001, Roman was appointed to the position of Deputy General Director for Advertising and PR Projects.

Movies

On October 24, 1997, Alexander Nevzorov released the military drama “Purgatory”, where Zhilkin’s cinematic career began with his transformation into the commander of the T-80 tank, Lieutenant Igor Grigorashchenko. Then he appeared three times in “Streets of Broken Lanterns”, appeared in “The Hunt for Cinderella” and the 3rd part of “National Security Agent”.

In 2001, Sergei Bodrov Jr. entrusted Roman with the reincarnation of one of the gang members, the hero Kirill Pirogov in “Sisters,” who was pursuing the girls. It was at his legs that Sveta (Oksana Akinshina’s character) shot from a police car, wanting to protect herself and her half-sister Dina.

In 2006, in “White City,” the St. Petersburg resident played his first leading role, becoming a former intelligence officer who needed to save a girl from the hands of a deputy. In 2018, in “The Office Rat” he again got the main character - police lieutenant colonel, deputy head of the police department Yegor Knyazev.

The majority of his filmography consists of TV series. “Black Raven” here coexists with “Antikiller”, “Deadly Force” - with “Gangster Petersburg” and “Sea Devils”, “Road Patrol” - with “Liteiny” and “Cop Wars”.

However, the artist is very convincing not only in the roles of criminals. He looked natural as an adjutant of Count Palen (“The Golden Age”), an accordion player (“The Tale of Fedot the Archer”), a lawyer (“Brotherhood of the Airborne”), a fashionable couturier (“Three Fallow Deer on the Diamond Path”), and a restaurant administrator (“ Named Baron").

In 2019, fans could notice their favorite on NTV, where “Five Minutes of Silence” was broadcast. Return”, Channel One, which showed the retro detective story “Foundling”, and Channel Five in the episode “Conditional Cop”.

Creative activity

During his student years, Roman not only learned the theoretical foundations of directing, but also engaged in creative work. He performed a variety of roles on stage. In his first year he was elected head of the group. Zhilkin, using his organizational skills, organized several creative groups. Students staged plays, composed plays, and practiced choral and solo singing. Roman placed special emphasis on performing folk songs. It was with this repertoire that he managed to organize a tour of the student group to Japan.

Roman was invited to the organizing committee for the song festival in St. Petersburg. In his last year at the institute, Zhilkin starred in a movie. His debut was a role in a military drama called “Purgatory”. After receiving his diploma in 1998, he began to pay more attention to filming films and television series. He was involved in such projects as “Streets of Broken Lanterns”, “The Hunt for Cinderella”, “Line of Fate”, “Gangster Petersburg”. With a lot of work on the set, the actor began to appear on the theater stage less often.

Personal life

On his personal accounts on Instagram, VKontakte and Facebook, the handsome blue-eyed man does not share photographs or information that shed light on his personal life. However, Zhilkin willingly puts it on public display on the main federal channel.

In January 2020, in the “Actually” program, he publicly sorted out his relationship with his half-brother Rostislav, who accused his relative of abandoning him in poverty.

In turn, the actor announced that his opponent, who works as a driver in St. Petersburg and suffers from alcoholism, brought both his grandmother and father to the grave. And then he even expressed the idea that they had different mothers, citing a DNA test done outside the show. By the end of the episode, viewers learned that the artist’s thoughts were prompted by his beloved Kristina Bashlykova, who was driven by selfish goals and falsified the results of the examination.

On December 3, the star of Russian television series again found herself in the “studio where you can’t lie.” This time, guests and experts discussed the statement of 36-year-old Liliya Abramova, Roman Anatolyevich’s former passion, that she has been raising his illegitimate daughter Victoria for 2 years now.

At the end of 2017, the woman met the celebrity through social networks, and they soon began an affair. The Muscovite's chosen one initially had serious intentions, proposed marriage and rejoiced at the news that he would have a child. However, in the 6th month of Abramova’s pregnancy, it turned out that he was dating a young, spectacular brunette Christina, who is now in the status of a common-law wife.

The most interesting thing here was not that the “aging womanizer” did not want to acknowledge paternity and acted rudely towards Lilia, but that during her relationship with him she was married to 24-year-old Dmitry Abramov. The latter is the girl's biological father.

An excerpt characterizing Zhilkin, Roman Anatolyevich

“We must continue, morning and evening,” he said, apparently conscientiously pleased with his success. - Just please be more careful. “Be calm, Countess,” the doctor said jokingly, deftly picking up the gold in the pulp of his hand, “soon he’ll start singing and frolicking again.” The last medicine is very, very good for her. She's very refreshed. The Countess looked at her nails and spat, returning to the living room with a cheerful face. At the beginning of July, more and more alarming rumors about the progress of the war were spreading in Moscow: they were talking about the sovereign’s appeal to the people, about the arrival of the sovereign himself from the army to Moscow. And since the manifesto and appeal were not received before July 11, exaggerated rumors circulated about them and about the situation in Russia. They said that the sovereign was leaving because the army was in danger, they said that Smolensk had been surrendered, that Napoleon had a million troops and that only a miracle could save Russia. On the 11th of July, Saturday, the manifesto was received, but not yet printed; and Pierre, who was visiting the Rostovs, promised to come for dinner the next day, Sunday, and bring a manifesto and an appeal, which he would get from Count Rastopchin. This Sunday, the Rostovs, as usual, went to mass at the Razumovskys’ home church. It was a hot July day. Already at ten o'clock, when the Rostovs got out of the carriage in front of the church, in the hot air, in the shouts of the peddlers, in the bright and light summer dresses of the crowd, in the dusty leaves of the trees of the boulevard, in the sounds of music and the white trousers of the battalion marching on the march, in the thunder of the pavement and in the bright shine of the hot sun there was that summer languor, contentment and dissatisfaction with the present, which is felt especially sharply on a clear hot day in the city. In the Razumovsky church there were all the Moscow nobility, all the acquaintances of the Rostovs (this year, as if expecting something, a lot of rich families, usually traveling to the villages, remained in the city). Walking behind the livery footman, who was parting the crowd next to her mother, Natasha heard the voice of a young man speaking about her in a too loud whisper: “This is Rostova, the same one...” “How thin she has become, but still good!” She heard, or it seemed to her, that the names of Kuragin and Bolkonsky were mentioned. However, it always seemed that way to her. It always seemed to her that everyone, looking at her, only thought about what happened to her. Suffering and fading in her soul, as always in a crowd, Natasha walked in her purple silk dress with black lace the way women can walk - the calmer and more majestic the more painful and ashamed she was in her soul. She knew and was not mistaken that she was good, but this did not please her now as before. On the contrary, this was what tormented her most recently, and especially on this bright, hot summer day in the city. “Another Sunday, another week,” she said to herself, remembering how she was here on that Sunday, “and still the same life without life, and all the same conditions in which it was so easy to live before. She’s good, she’s young, and I know that now I’m good, before I was bad, but now I’m good, I know,” she thought, “and so the best years pass in vain, for no one.” She stood next to her mother and exchanged words with nearby acquaintances. Natasha, out of habit, examined the ladies’ dresses, condemned the tenue [demeanor] and the indecent way of crossing herself with her hand in the small space of one lady standing nearby, again thought with annoyance that she was being judged, that she too was judging, and suddenly, hearing the sounds of the service, she was horrified by her abomination, horrified that her former purity had again been lost. The handsome, quiet old man served with that gentle solemnity that has such a majestic, calming effect on the souls of those praying. The royal doors closed, the curtain slowly closed; a mysterious quiet voice said something from there. Tears, incomprehensible to her, stood in Natasha’s chest, and a joyful and painful feeling worried her. “Teach me what I should do, how I can improve forever, forever, what I should do with my life...” she thought. The deacon went out to the pulpit, straightened his long hair from under his surplice, holding his thumb wide, and, placing a cross on his chest, loudly and solemnly began to read the words of the prayer: “Let us pray to the Lord in peace.” “In peace - all together, without distinction of classes, without enmity, and united by brotherly love - let us pray,” thought Natasha. - About the heavenly world and the salvation of our souls! “For the peace of angels and the souls of all incorporeal creatures that live above us,” Natasha prayed. When they prayed for the army, she remembered her brother and Denisov. When they prayed for those sailing and traveling, she remembered Prince Andrei and prayed for him, and prayed that God would forgive her for the evil that she had done to him. When they prayed for those who loved us, she prayed for her family, for her father, mother, Sonya, for the first time now understanding all her guilt before them and feeling all the strength of her love for them. When they prayed for those who hated us, she invented enemies and haters for herself in order to pray for them. She counted creditors and all those who dealt with her father among her enemies, and every time, when she thought about enemies and haters, she remembered Anatole, who had done her so much harm, and although he was not a hater, she joyfully prayed for him as for enemy. Only during prayer did she feel able to clearly and calmly remember both Prince Andrei and Anatol, as people for whom her feelings were destroyed in comparison with her feeling of fear and reverence for God. When they prayed for the royal family and for the Synod, she bowed especially low and crossed herself, telling herself that if she did not understand, she could not doubt and still loved the ruling Synod and prayed for it. Having finished the litany, the deacon crossed the orarion around his chest and said: “We will give ourselves and our belly to Christ our God.” “We will surrender ourselves to God,” Natasha repeated in her soul. “My God, I surrender myself to your will,” she thought. - I don’t want anything, I don’t desire anything; teach me what to do, where to use my will! Take me, take me! - Natasha said with tender impatience in her soul, without crossing herself, lowering her thin hands and as if expecting that an invisible force would take her and deliver her from herself, from her regrets, desires, reproaches, hopes and vices.
