Maxim Golopolosov - biography

Maxim Golopolosov (better known as Max “+100500”) was born on November 1, 1989 in Moscow. At school he was an exemplary student and was able to finish nine grades with honors. However, after this, Maxim decided to enter a vocational school and become a cook. As a result, he successfully implemented this plan, but worked in this specialty for only a year. Then the future blogger decided to get a higher education and entered a local Moscow university.

Education and career

His parents wanted to give their son a reliable profession, so they strongly recommended that he enroll in a culinary school. After finishing 9th grade, Maxim began studying to become a cook. The profession did not attract him, but the guy did not quarrel with his parents and received a diploma as a cook. Golopolosov claims that he never acquired culinary skills and still does not know how to cook.

Having matured, Maxim decided that a higher education would not hurt, and entered a university. He studied at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and easily mastered English. During his life, the guy watched a lot of English-language TV series. Therefore, having an ear for music, he quickly mastered the language.

In his second year, Golopolosov already got involved in blogging, decided that he had mastered English enough, and dropped out of college. During his studies, Maxim did not sit on his parents’ neck; he earned his living as a courier. Golopolosov also had enough strength to study music, which he had dreamed of since childhood. The group “2ND Season”, which Max created together with his friends, performed compositions of their own composition in the pop-punk style.

Having a good command of the language, Golopolosov often wandered the expanses of the English-language Internet. His attention was drawn to the famous Internet show “Equals three,” in which comedy video blogger Ray William Johnson gives funny and sarcastic comments to videos.

Golopolosov decided to amuse the Russian public by copying the author’s idea and transferring it to his native soil. Maxim quickly thinks through the script, borrows a camera and prepares a “video recording studio.” The interior of the “studio” does not shine with any special sophistication - the sofa is decorated with a bedspread with an all-time fashionable leopard pattern, the camera is installed on a stack of books.

The idea turned out to be successful, and Maxim soon became a famous blogger.

Biography

Maxim Golopolosov was born in 1989 in Moscow and was raised in a simple working-class family.
At first, he grew up as an ordinary teenager, interested in skateboarding and punk rock. After ninth grade, he continued his studies at culinary school. The guy was disappointed in his choice, but still graduated from the educational institution. After this, he joined the ranks of students at Moscow Pedagogical University, where he received his education at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Maxim’s passion for English led him to the YouTube channels of Western video bloggers. He was especially attracted to the show “=3” by blogger Ray William Johnson from the USA. The latter, in a humorous manner, reviewed the so-called “viral” videos, which were dedicated to comical and amusing situations. Golopolosov decided to adapt this format for Russian viewers and in 2010 created a similar channel, calling it AdamThomasMoran. The new blogger’s show itself was called “+100500”.

The project turned out to be incredibly successful, and today it has more than one million subscribers. Later, this and other channels created by talented video makers were combined into a separate video portal “CarambaTV”, but over the years it could not withstand the competition with YouTube and was actually abandoned.

In addition to blogging, Maxim is involved in music and created the punk band “2ND Season”, which has released several albums and successfully toured the country.
