Over a long period of time practicing martial arts, Sergei Vorobiev has achieved impressive success. He has a black belt - fourth dan in Shotokan karate, second dan in Godai Ryu jujutsu, first dan in WTF Taekwon-Do.

The path to the cinema

In parallel with his sports hobbies, in the early 2000s, Sergei Vorobyov was engaged in business - supplying rolled metal to construction sites. Together with his brother and his wife, they worked at the Nevsky Metallurgical Company. However, the 2008 crisis seriously hit the family business. In the 8-episode film “Druzhina” by Mikhail Kolpakhchiev, he played one of the main roles - the governor of Godun’s lord’s squad. The film, which interprets historical facts very freely (and to put it bluntly, has nothing to do with real historical reality), nevertheless turned out to be very dynamic and exciting. Sergei Vorobyov, in the company of his longtime acquaintances from working in other films, Alexander Erlich, Gennady Kazachkov, Andrei Pogrebinsky and Pavel Badyrov, appeared in the image of invincible Russian super-heroes.

On camera, the actors had to work a lot with edged weapons: swords and battle axes.
