He was not yet 6 years old when a terrible war broke out. It seemed to the boy that he could watch the war from his window: on one side there would be the Germans, on the other, ours.

He cried a lot when they saw off his older brother to the front - even more than at his father’s farewell. The war turned out to be much worse than in his childhood fantasies. He was constantly haunted by painful hunger; at night, sleepy Valya’s mother would wrap him in a blanket and carry him to a shelter—Moscow was bombed every night.

My father survived, although he was hospitalized at the end of the war. Valya remembered how dad lay in a hospital bed covered in bandages.

And then - Victory, and great pride in our people who survived this war and emerged victorious.

Divorce

Olga Ostroumova often heard rumors that her husband was not faithful to her. But the actress stubbornly did not believe the informers. She considered rumors to be a cost of being a creative person.

But Mikhail Levitin had a different opinion on this matter. He cheated on his wife for all 23 years of their marriage. But these betrayals were short-term and did not have any significant significance for the director. He always returned home, where his faithful and loving wife was waiting for him. As Mikhail Levitin later admitted in an interview, Olga Ostroumova has no flaws. The director called his infidelities a bad habit, like smoking or alcoholism, and he was unable to overcome his addiction.

Having learned that her husband had been cheating on her throughout their life together, Olga Ostroumova filed for divorce.

The artist Stolyarov helped prepare for admission

He first saw a theatrical performance later, and did not immediately understand that it was not real, but “invented” life that was taking place on stage.

But then the scene captured the teenager so much that he decided to study “to become an artist.” This dream was fueled by the recognition of his abilities - Gaft successfully played on the school stage.

While preparing a program for the Moscow Art Theater School, Gaft realized: he was reading the fable wrong. But I didn’t understand what exactly needed to be fixed. And this had to happen: one day he met his idol on the street - the famous artist Sergei Stolyarov! Gaft, plucking up courage, asked Stolyarov to listen to the fable performed by the applicant. And the famous artist responded to the request with respect: he brought the young man to his home and analyzed the fable with him in detail. Gaft was accepted.

Well, what about Gaft?

Valentin Iosifovich Gaft will celebrate his 82nd birthday this year. He is an incredibly famous artist who appears in films and plays in the theater. The actor holds the title of People's Artist and became a leading member of the Moscow Sovremennik troupe. While studying at school, Valik took part in amateur performances, and since in those days there were only boys at school, he had to embody female images. In 1953, he graduated from school and immediately entered the Moscow Art Theater School. He studied on the same course with Maya Menglet and Oleg Tabakov.

Valentin Iosifovich Gaft graduated from the Moscow Art Theater in 1957 and after that worked at the Moscow Drama Theater, the Satire Theater, Lenkom and the Mossovet Theater. This kaleidoscope stopped when the young artist got into Sovremennik. This theater became a second home for Gaft. Here he played his best roles. Gaft continued to appear on the Sovremennik stage until recently - until his health began to fail.

As for cinema, he began to be offered his first roles back in the 70s. However, Gaft was truly glorified by Eldar Ryazanov’s film “Garage,” filmed in 1979. This was followed by other films - “Say a word for the poor hussar”, “Forgotten melody for the flute”, “Promised Heaven”, “Old Nags”...

And, of course, everyone remembers Valentin Gaft well in the inimitable comedy “Hello, I am your aunt!”, and in the New Year’s fairy tale “Sorcerers”, and in the crime drama “Thieves in Law”, and in many other films.

Theater career

The first theater in the graduate’s biography was the capital’s Youth Theater. She began working there immediately after receiving her diploma in 1970. Olga played on its stage for three years, improving her acting skills. The artistic director at that time was director P. Chomsky, who became her first mentor.

And when he decided to leave the theater, Ostroumova decided to change her place of service. The actress chose the theater on Malaya Bronnaya. Her classmate Andrei Martynov pushed her to choose. The team was friendly, and director Dunaev involved Ostroumova in almost all productions. Later he was replaced by A. Efros, who also liked the actress.

At Malaya Bronnaya Ostroumova played with artists already known at that time - Oleg Dahl, Olga Yakovleva, Alexei Petrenko. Olga was in great demand during this period: she played in three theater productions at once. In 1984, Efros decides to change jobs - Ostroumova leaves after him. Her choice is the Theater of Miniatures, in which she works under the direction of M. Levitin.

He transfers to the actress all the roles of Lyubov Polishchuk, who is just going on maternity leave. Her first performance in a new place is the production of “Hello, Monsieur de Maupassant.” Ostroumova was supposed to play Margarita in The Master and Margarita, but the play was not released. The reason is the director's illness.

The actress again decides to change the theater and goes to the Theater. Mossovet. Her first role was the girl Anfisa in the play “The Widow's Ship” directed by G. Yankovskaya. Unlike other troupes, in which friendly relations and mutual understanding reigned, in this theater everything was different. The new actress was not accepted and they began to “sit on her”. But Ostroumova had a strong character, so she did not pay attention to the intriguers and never stooped to their level.

Then there was the main role in the production of Madame Bovary. For her performance, the actress received the award. Stanislavsky, critics rated the actress’s talent so highly. Ostroumova had many roles, but her favorite roles were in “The White Guard,” “The Cherry Orchard,” “The Dancing Teacher,” and “The Silver Age.”

For example, he wrote to Armen Dzhigarkhanyan: “There are much fewer Armenians on earth than there are films in which Dzhigarkhanyan played.”

Gaft also writes serious poetry; his books “Poem and Epigram”, “I Gradually Learn”, “Red Lanterns”, “Shadows on the Water”, “Garden of Forgotten Memories” have been published.

Tall, handsome... loving

Photo: Globallookpress Few people know that Gaft had to leave the Satire Theater after an unsuccessful performance: he was so worried that he mixed up the actresses - his partners - and dropped the scenery. But Alena Izorgina, a fashion model and one of the first beauties of Moscow, witnessed this incident.

Gaft drew attention to the beauty, they started dating, then got married... But he couldn’t bring himself not to look at other women - that’s his nature. And then Alena fell in love with someone else. In a word, the family broke up.

Almost immediately a new woman appeared nearby - Elena Nikitina. True, they did not register the relationship, but they maintained a relationship for some time. Gaft learned that his son Vadim was born only 3 years later: his girlfriend did not demand anything from the artist, and then she left the country completely, taking her son to Brazil. The relationship between father and son resumed only in 2014 - Elena and Vadim arrived in Moscow after a long break.

In his marriage to Inna Eliseeva, a daughter, Olga, was born. She wanted to become an actress, but she couldn’t go to college. After a quarrel with a young man, Olga, unfortunately, committed suicide - this happened in 2002.

Student marriage behind me

Olga Ostroumova came to conquer Moscow from the small town of Buguruslan in the Orenburg region. In 1966 she became a student at GITIS. Here Olga met her future husband. Boris Annaberdyev was a classmate of the girl. They got married in 1969 and divorced after 3 years of marriage. Later, Boris Annaberdyev became a documentary director at the state enterprise Turkmenfilm.

Mikhail Levitin was originally from Odessa. Here he graduated from a theater school and gained some experience as a stage worker. But the ambitious young man wanted more. At the age of 17, he came to Moscow and entered GITIS on the first try. Already in his third year, Mikhail married the younger sister of his classmate Maria Borodina.

After graduating from university, Olga Ostroumova received an assignment to the Moscow Youth Theater, where Mikhail Levitin was working as a director at that time. At first, the young man did not like the aspiring actress. She seemed too rude to him. Only after some time did Levitin discern both the tenderness and sincerity of the girl’s emotions. The young people fell in love with each other.
