Elena Tsyplakova: Unsuccessful marriages, challenges to fate and long-awaited female happiness...

Childhood and youth

Elena Oktyabrevna was born in November 1958 in Leningrad. The girl grew up in a family of creative people - her parents were graphic artists. The childhood of the future actress was overshadowed by non-childhood problems.

Twice a year the star was forced to go to a health boarding school because her father developed an open form of tuberculosis. These times became difficult - a strict nanny worked in the establishment, and Lena was stubborn and independent. She was repeatedly punished for pranks, which only strengthened her character.

When the girl returned home, life got better. She studied well, focusing on chemistry and mathematics, and went in for sports. Even then, the active and restless Tsyplakova had a talent for creativity; she just had to channel her energy in the right direction.

One day, a family friend, artist Nikolai Yudin, came into their noisy and cheerful house. And with him came his wife, a graduate of a theater university, Dinara Asanova. She helped light up a new star, whose cinematic biography soon began.

The 15-year-old girl made her debut in the film “The Woodpecker Has a Headache,” released in 1975. The image of the first beauty of the class, Irina Fedorova, brought fame to the young performer. The directors bombarded her with new offers, and she accepted them with pleasure.

Even before graduating from school, young Lena managed to add several sensational projects to her filmography. The final film before entering GITIS was Asanova’s painting “The Key Without the Right of Transfer.” The actress again played a schoolgirl, and one similar to herself - thoughtful and serious, looking at the world with adult eyes.

Tsyplakova entered the capital’s university on her first attempt. With her track record, this turned out to be a piece of cake, but studying was more difficult. During this period, the girl continued to act. The audience enjoyed watching Pavel Lyubimov’s melodrama “School Waltz” with her participation. Lena's heroine Zosya Knushevitskaya was also similar to her: the same independent and uncompromising character, the same stubbornness and reluctance to follow generally accepted standards of behavior.

Then two more striking films with a celebrity appeared - “In the Zone of Special Attention” and “Hate”. The teachers were dissatisfied with the student’s vigorous acting activity, and relations with them became increasingly tense. She decided to transfer to the acting department of VGIK, enrolling immediately in the 3rd year, and then mastered the profession of director, continuing to act.

Education

Tenth-grader Elena Tsyplakova did not have a question about choosing a profession; she knew for sure that her future life would be connected with cinema. The only thing you had to decide was which institute to go to?

Since she wanted to plunge into an independent life as quickly as possible, Lena went to Moscow and entered the acting department at GITIS. At first, her parents gave her money to pay for a rented apartment, but then Lena took on these expenses herself, since she was already earning money in the cinema.

Students at the university were prohibited from filming, so Tsyplakova had to constantly come up with something. She said that she was sick, made up incredible personal stories and still managed to leave for filming. If her deceptions were revealed, Lena still did not back down, because she gave instructions - not to take money from her parents and to provide for herself. When the conflict on this basis reached its highest point, Tsyplakova had to leave GITIS.

But she was taken to his course at VGIK by professor, wonderful Soviet actor and director Lev Aleksandrovich Kulidzhanov. So Lena, from her second year at GITIS, entered her third year at VGIK, having passed fourteen exams as an external student. Having graduated from the acting department in 1978, she then also studied directing.

Theater and films

The artist joined the Maly Theater troupe thanks to Natalya Vilkina and Yuri Solomin, who played her parents in “School Waltz.” She served there for 6 years, but was forced to leave to film her thesis for the directing department.

In parallel with her stage performance, Tsyplakova continued to pursue her screen career. In 1979, the adventure film “D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers” premiered, after which the already recognizable actress woke up incredibly famous. The audience was delighted with her Katie and dreamed of getting a photo of the performer, but she did not like the role of a frivolous “cutie”.

The directors found themselves in solidarity with the public and began offering the artist similar images. But Dinara Asanova, Elena’s “godmother” in the world of cinema, again called the girl for a dramatic role, which she played in the film “Useless.”

The artist’s popularity continued to grow, she even managed to star in the cult “Guest from the Future”, but in 1985 the unexpected happened - while on another continent, the celebrity contracted African malaria, the disease gave serious complications. As a result of the treatment, the once fragile girl gained a lot of weight. In the film “Midshipmen, forward!” the audience saw her already plump, which came as a shock to them.

Since worthy roles were now rarely offered, the artist turned to directing. She appeared on screens less often, but always brightly, leaving a mark in the hearts of viewers. In the melodrama “Can I Hug You?”, released in 2017, the actress played the mother of the heroine Ekaterina Rednikova and the grandmother of Maya Gorban. Both the daughter and the granddaughter give the woman a lot of anxiety: one is stressed from failing the college entrance exams, the other finds herself in a dangerous love triangle.

Later, the artist starred in the detective drama “Step into the Abyss,” where her character has the biblical name Salome. A relative of the main character, the matriarch of the family, turned out to be the only person who did not reject his bride, who did not fit into the established rules. Director Dmitry Averin noted that getting Elena Oktyabrevna in the cast was a happy occasion.

Among the artist’s other memorable heroines is Nina from the series “Rural Detective”. The project was extended several times, and she returned to her role each time.

Family

Dark-eyed baby Lena was born in the Northern capital of our homeland in 1958, on November 13. Her parents were intelligent, creative people, graphic artists by profession. Lena had an older brother.

The family was cheerful, interesting people came to visit. Nikolai Yudin, a friend of Lena’s father, Oktyabr Ivanovich, visited them. He came with his young wife Dinara Asanova. Dinara mastered the profession of director, and she saw the ability of an artist in the teenager Lena Tsyplakova.

Directing

The star's directorial debut took place in 1988 - the short film "Citizen Runaway" was released. The debut turned out to be more than successful. Elena Oktyabrevna was recognized as a colleague by eminent filmmakers, and Karen Shakhnazarov invited her to his creative association “Start”.

The following year, inspired by success, Tsyplakova filmed her second project - the drama “Reed Paradise”. After watching it, many film critics expressed surprise that the director was a woman. The film received a prestigious prize at the festival in San Sebastian, Spain.

Then another celebrity film appeared on the screens - “I Trust in You.” It is about how a person in difficult life circumstances strives to regain his dignity. The plot was based on memories of life in a boarding school, but many reproached the director for excessive cruelty.

In the new century, viewers and fans of Tsyplakova continued to follow her work. The first series directed by a celebrity was “Family Secrets” about a terminally ill banker whose children begin a war for inheritance.

The filmmaker has the same positive attitude towards multi-part projects as he does towards films, considering it a way of dialogue with viewers who can learn a lesson for themselves after watching. Proof of this is the story of a lawyer friend who noticed that after the premiere of Family Secrets, the number of divorce cases related to the division of property decreased.

In 2014, viewers saw the series “While the village is sleeping,” a joint project of the director and her two colleagues - Beta Nedich and Alexander Mokhov. The celebrity considered the picture unique, if only because she was interested in knowing how people in reality would solve such problems when sin is simply taken on the soul.

Elena Oktyabrevna not only filmed her next project, but also played the main role in it. It was called “Birth Certificate” and brought together talented performers on the site - Ilya Noskov, Maxim Radugin and Danila Dunaev.

A year after the release of the series, in 2021 the actress took over the post of chief director of the Moscow Regional Drama and Comedy Theater, located in Noginsk.

Religion

After all the life trials that she had to endure, Tsyplakova consciously came to religion at the age of 36. She decided that all her illnesses arose because of sin, because in the past the woman allowed herself to do bad things and abused alcohol. The artist began to pray daily, and many problems went away.

Elena Oktyabrevna’s spiritual mother was Sofia, the head of the company located in Dnieper, about whom she repeatedly spoke warmly in interviews. But several times the press published devastating articles about the activities of the organization; for example, representatives of “Dialogue” claimed that in fact the actress was a member of a sect. She considers such notes to be slanderous.

The performer’s religiosity, according to her, helped her cope with complications of diabetes. She was confined to a wheelchair, but with the help of prayers and healing infusions she defeated the disease and even refused insulin injections.

A connection with God helps a celebrity not only in everyday life, but also in directing. She starts every day of filming with prayer and brings icons with her to the set. The example of the cinematographer is positive for the actors - many quit smoking and swearing.

The artist's faith is reflected in her projects. She staged the play "Mother of Jesus", which received public recognition. After each show, Tsyplakova and her like-minded people distributed spiritual books for free.

Biography

Viewers saw the fragile, big-eyed girl Elena Tsyplakova on the screen in the 70s and immediately fell in love with her.
Moreover, the actress was charming both in the role of Katie in “D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers,” where her head was adorned with lovely curls, and in the image of Agnia, shaved bald, in “Adult Son.” However, Tsyplakova in her youth and now are two different women. When an absurd accident seemed to put an end to such a successful acting career, Elena did not break down, but simply switched a certain switch in her head and sat down at the director’s console. The woman experienced problems with alcohol, but realized that she was doing things that were not pleasing to God. Faith changed the life of Tsyplakova, who now works spiritually on the set.

Personal life

The celebrity first married in her youth to her colleague Gennady, who then also served at the Maly Theater. Boris Galkin and Irina Pechernikova agreed to become witnesses. But the couple soon realized that their life together was a mistake. Divorce followed less than a year after marriage.

Then Elena became the lady of the heart of Vitaly Solomin. She herself put an end to the romance when she learned that her chosen one would soon have a second child. Another change in his personal life followed in 1984. The young woman met a man far from the world of art. Dentist Sergei Lipets turned out to be 20 years older than the actress, but the age difference did not interfere with the couple’s happy life.

After the operation, the actress could not have children, which she openly spoke about in the program “The Fate of a Man.” She was ready to accept her lover’s heirs from her ex-wives, but the relationship between them did not work out. This was one of the reasons for the separation.

Elena Tsyplakova and husband Pavel Shcherbakov

The performer seriously thought about taking a vow of celibacy, but unexpectedly met her love. In 2005, she married Pavel Shcherbakov, and 3 years later they got married in the Moscow Church of Peter and Paul. The couple was brought together by chance - the man gave the star a ride to work, and later became her loyal friend and reliable life partner. The chosen one has a daughter, Julia, from a previous relationship, and the performer dotes on her.

Unpleasant changes in life

Unfortunately, fate sometimes sends us trials. If a person does not break under their weight, they can become a blessing: they can strengthen character, cleanse the heart of unnecessary, superficial, false sensations, make us understand the main thing for which we live, and set priorities in life.

In 1985, after a trip with the Soviet film delegation to African countries, Tsyplakova felt unwell. Severe fever, then pulmonary edema, then myocarditis... I felt bad, but the cause was not identified for a long time. Doctors had great difficulty diagnosing malaria in the artist. An alternative medicine was tested on her, and the days were counting. And Elena managed to survive, but at the same time losing the lion’s share of her health. Aggressive medications and antibiotics greatly undermined my strength. Tsyplakova gained significant weight, was no longer so in demand as an actress, and acted very rarely.

The main role in the project was played by Marina Konyashkina. Her heroine was a former successful businesswoman, but went to prison due to a false murder charge.
