I don’t know why, but for some reason when asking “Vietnam with children”, “What to entertain children in Vietnamese Nha Trang”, etc. Google search engine provides information for 2008-2012!? Well, the most recent, if you drip well, is 2015... And since then Nha Trang has grown, developed, and some of the information on the Internet has changed over these bearded years. For example, Gorky Park - there is no such thing anymore, now it is the Central Park of Nha Trang. Of course, if you ask about Gorky Park, they will understand you and send you in the right direction, but there is no point in looking for an amusement park: in December 2021, all that was left of it was a non-working carousel, a broken rocking chair and a mini playground with swings and a climbing net... All this is hidden behind houses, massage cabins, between cafes, not far from the entrance to the park. I think that by the end of 2021 this will not happen either: a cafe for tourists is more profitable than a play area for children. True, while preparing the post, I found information on the Internet about the childhood area in the park with a carousel, a railway road, swings, climbing frames and even free!!! nanny (https://www.tourister.ru/world/asia/vietnam/city/nha_trang/parks/26467). If so, then great, great. But in the winter of 2016-2017 there was no such happiness... (If anyone can confirm information about the presence of a childhood territory, write in the comments - I will be glad of this fact!). The wave pool, about which much has been written, also seems to be there, it seems to be broken. At the beginning of 2021, its condition was so neglected that it is unlikely to be repaired in the coming years. In general, the main entertainment for children in Nha Trang is a beach holiday.

1. Swimming pools. There are three of them - all absolutely free, pay only for sun loungers: - 40 dong (generally 40,000 or even 40,000,000 (I already forgot)), hereinafter the prices are indicated without zeros, it’s more convenient) at the pool of the Louisiana restaurant (until 16.00), - from 80 - all sunbeds in the Central Park (by the sea and by the pool) and the Central Beach (in the area next to the Park (I don’t know further along the coast towards the north)), - 180 or 250 (and I don’t remember here anymore(((( - King size until 18.00 at the Story Beach Club restaurant (it’s convenient to take it for a family or you can take it for a large group (maximum 8 people, comfortable for four) and get it on a budget.) The pools go one after another: first Louisiana, then the park and at the end Story Beach club. The pools of the park and the club are only 5-10 meters away and you can swim both there. Please note: the pool of the Louisiana restaurant is deep from 1.5 to 2 meters, but we mostly rested there: a minimum of people in the pool, from Only my small children, very rarely some other little ones.

In addition, there is a pond with many fish, which mine watched with great interest. And also, from the entrance from the first line (from the street), there are bathtubs for seafood, including shrimp, which turned out to be very funny and nimble guys)))): mine watched with delight as the shrimp crossed these bathtubs, reminding them bath toys)))). There are children's pools at the Park and at the Story Beach Club, both heated. But the pool of the central park is adjacent to a very deep adult one (2-2.5 meters) + the sun loungers are not well placed and it is difficult to look after the children. The club children's pool is more like a bathtub in size and is separated from the adult pool (1.5 m deep) by a not large and not high wall. We liked the pool itself with a feature in the form of a bar in the pool, but it is more crowded there than in Louisiana.

2. The beach is a huge sandbox!!! The only and main danger is the sun. So it’s better to choose a place in the shade, creams save from the bright sun, but not much: my faces and shoulders were always sunburned, although I smeared them with cream with protection 50 every 15-20 minutes, we rested during the off-season!!! and we wore Panama hats with a visor and a train covering the back and neck (it saved the neck and back, but unfortunately not the face (((. Drapolene helped us with burns. Panthenol pinched their faces a lot and turned out to be not as effective and ... economical as Drapolene. Panthenol I anointed myself and my husband: fortunately we didn’t burn like that, the skin is no longer so tender))).

3. Waves. In the central part of Nha Trang in December-January there are definitely big waves on the ocean (in the season it’s calm), so much so that not every adult can go in. Children will not be able to swim, but they will like to run from the waves, but only under your supervision: the waves are large and can knock the child off his feet, and the rescuers are not particularly visible ((((. If the goal is to bathe a child in the sea (skin problems, etc.) d.) choose accommodation in the back part of Nha Trang: the waves there are much smaller, but there is no beach infrastructure (toilets, sun loungers, cafes) But everything is much cheaper there: food, housing, and there is also a kindergarten there!! !!

4. Kindergarten Ladushka! This is for those who are traveling for more than two weeks, for example, like us for 35 days. Our experience has shown that dad’s nerves gave way on the 10th day of constant communication with the children, and on the 14th, exactly on New Year’s Eve, he was ready to buy tickets twice as expensive and get to Ho Chi Minh City Airport by bus (for a moment - this is a 2-hour flight))) just to finally relax... at work))))). All information about the kindergarten is on its wall in Contact. You can also find it through a search engine. You choose your visiting schedule: we went three times a week with naps during the day. In my opinion, the kindergarten is neither fish nor fowl, but our dad’s nerves (read mine between the lines)) are more expensive. True, it doesn’t take long to get there by taxi from the southern part (10-15 minutes), but it’s expensive. It’s better to rent a scooter and wear a hat under your child’s helmet, as all the locals do, to avoid otitis media. If your vacation falls on our New Year, be sure to go to their children's party with Santa Claus (make arrangements in advance).

5. Park Story. It is located next to the Story Beach Club on the territory of Central Park just before leaving it. By the way, the nearest and largest parking lot for scooters is located there. A very beautiful park within a park! If you are a newlywed, take a wedding dress, tailcoat and other attributes, hire a photographer (there is a photo studio in the Central Park of Nha Trang, next to the large swimming pool) and go there. The park is full of hearts and little hearts: a fountain, sculptures made of bushes, and tiles on mini-paths)))). Children also love it, especially the sculptures of dogs and deer made from bushes!

6. Hanging swing. They hang on the trees on the beach of Nha Trang Central Park, in the amount of two: opposite the photo studio (where we read it above) and the entrance to the Story Beach Club.

7. Horizontal bars. They are all over the beach, somewhere there are more of them, somewhere less, if you walk up to 100 meters to the right, to the left you will definitely find them. The eldest really liked the version of the elliptical and something else that we rode on like a swing.

9. Children's playground of the Central Beach. Of all the things possible, it only has two identical ladders, two identical slides, and a set of concrete pillars of different heights... Of course, this does not fit into the site, but there is no other... and all this is only in one place on the Central Beach not far from Sailing Club.

10. Children's playground in Cong vien Phia Bac Cau Tran Phu Park (not spelled like that, but how to tick the letters I XZ). There is a real, although time-worn (it has been preserved from Soviet times!!!, part of it is broken), children's playground overlooking the ocean in the northern part of Nha Trang right behind the bridge over the river!!! There is quite a variety there, there really are no swings, but there are slides, ladders and something like a carousel: rotating tables. It’s better to go in the morning or afternoon, in the evening the locals use these carousels in the form of tables, which is how tables are used...

11. Rock garden. If you go in the morning or afternoon, then the children's playground from point 10 can and should be combined with sightseeing in Nha Trang: they are all in its northern part. One full day without children, with more children of course, is enough to see everything. But of all the attractions, of which there are not many in Nha Trang, children will only be interested in the rock garden: climbing on them, running away from the waves, washing their feet after the beach... And maybe a temple with a reclining Buddha: sitting on the railing in the shape of a dragon, but only go It’s not worth it for this: the steps up to the reclining and sitting Buddha, a child under 4-5 years old, do they believe he can master it. The monuments will not excite children either.

12. Riding on children's electric cars. In the evening on the square in front of the Lotus building. The price tag is not high, but entertainment brings a lot of happiness))).

13. Water puppet theater. Located opposite Lotus. We never went to see his performance, but it probably would have been worth it, I think my eldest would have liked it...

14. Free performances, concerts, etc. On the square in front of the building of the Water Puppet Theater and opposite the Lotus, free performances are often held: the little ones really liked the noise, din and beating of drums, and if we found ourselves at such an event, we would definitely come up and watch.

15. Play area. On the top floor of Nha Trang Center there is a large play area for children (the same as in our shopping centers), for not a lot of money (I don’t remember how much) under your supervision children can play slot machines, ride slides and electric cartoon characters ( they can drive themselves), climb in climbing frames, sculpt sand, fish, and older children can control real robots while sitting inside them.

In the same shopping center there is also a large supermarket where you can buy diapers, the usual children's cosmetics, for example Johnson's Baby, and baby food: yoghurts, cereals, purees. They ate my fruit purees and yoghurts with pleasure, but the local porridges were not good for the girls((((. So it’s better to bring instant porridge with you and more (I didn’t have enough 1 package, I didn’t calculate it((((.

16. Northern Islands. The first time you can take an excursion, during which you can choose an island of your liking (the island of orchids or monkeys), take a photo of the schedule of ferries and boats, and then go to the beaches on your own for relaxation (it turns out cheaper): there are no waves on the islands at all and you can swim with children in the ocean. In terms of entertainment for children, in my opinion, Orchid Island is more interesting - the circus alone is worth it, there are beautiful sculptures made of bushes, a large shaded children's playground with swings. The highlight of the program is orchids, children will not appreciate it))). In terms of beach holidays, I was more impressed by Monkey Island, which also has a large playground for children with a carousel, water attractions in shallow waters in the ocean (only accompanied by adults, depth about 1.3-1.5 m), a racing track (dad was delighted, my daughter is not very good))) and go closer to him! Plus, feeding the cheeky monkeys. It causes monstrous delight in children, comparable to a seizure (oldest))) ... or fear (my youngest). Focus on the child. Just wash your hands thoroughly after interacting with impudent monkeys (you never know if these primate relatives of ours get sick). During feeding, make sure that the child does not violate the rules of behavior with them (do not stroke, touch, etc., carefully read the instructions on the Internet!!!). These “cute” creatures are very vindictive: the monkey, which my eldest just wanted to pet and I didn’t have time to pull my daughter’s hand away, followed us for about 15 minutes, and kept trying to bite her ((((.

17. Museum of Impressions. This is for diligent children or those over 5 years old. In my opinion, the museum itself is so-so, nothing special, but the photos from it are worthwhile. But if the kids are as big ass in the butt like mine, don’t waste your time or money: you won’t get any cool photos with them(((.

18. And the last thing is Vinpearl Island. We were going there and going, but we didn’t get to the village. And it seems to me that children, especially older ones, will really like it there. There is a lot of information about him on the Internet.
