Childhood
Father, Vladimir Ivanovich, a submarine engineer by training, in the difficult 90s, when everything began to fall apart, left the factory and opened his own business, becoming a well-known entrepreneur in the city. Mother, Tatyana Vasilievna, remained to work at the factory.
The future actress spent her childhood in a harsh climate. I went to the first grade at regular secondary school No. 28 in the city of Severodvinsk. I studied well. The girl was most interested in humanitarian subjects, and was especially successful in Russian language and literature, as well as English.
She grew up as an active child, took part in many school events, and in the local KVN team. I didn’t think about becoming a professional actress and didn’t attend any theater clubs. She loved ballroom dancing, practiced it with pleasure and achieved significant success. For Sveta, these were moments of self-expression. She was passionate about fashion and was interested in the latest in the fashion industry. I loved watching different films.
After graduating from the seventh grade, Sveta, on the advice of her father, decided to enter gymnasium No. 14, which had a humanitarian and linguistic focus. All summer, the girl studied additionally with private teachers in order to enter this educational institution. A gift from my father for his efforts was a trip to a children's camp.
New classmates accepted the girl immediately. Sveta had no fans at the gymnasium; everyone was only determined to receive a prestigious education. She had to study English more deeply and learn German from scratch; exact sciences were also taught at the highest level. At that time, the girl first heard from friends that she was very similar to the fashion model Claudia Schiffer, whom she really liked.
The first play on the theater stage that the girl saw was “Eliza Doolittle” on the stage of the Severodvinsk Drama Theater. In high school, Sveta began to think about becoming a translator. But a progressive and well-read father, when the girl was finishing high school, advised her to become an economist. The girl began to diligently prepare with tutors in the exact sciences.
After graduating from high school in 1999, Svetlana and her father go to Moscow, where with difficulty they enter the University of Economics and Statistics. The girl really wanted to stay in the capital, despite her unloved specialty at the university.
In her second year, the girl transferred to the Financial Academy. Not having a mathematical mind, she found it difficult to study. At that time, an 18-year-old girl was noticed on the subway and invited to star in the video for the rap group “Bad Balance.” Svetlana got a job in a modeling agency, on whose behalf she periodically starred in videos and advertisements. She managed to get into the videos of Decl and the groups “Dynamite”, “Legal Business” and others.
At that moment in life, chance decided everything. Svetlana was sitting with friends in a cafe, where she accidentally met director Pyotr Buslov. Having mutual friends, Peter briefly joined the company, after which the girl received an offer to come and audition for the main character in the director’s film. The girl was interested in the offer; she was curious to act in a movie.
The girl, although she did not understand anything about acting, was approved for the leading role in the continuation of the cult film “Boomer. Film two . Svetlana did not understand then what great luck had befallen her. The girl liked acting in films, as well as the atmosphere on the set. She wanted to learn acting skills. In 2005, she left the Financial Academy after studying there for almost four years.
Enters the VGIK acting department in the workshop of the Honored Artist Vladimir Aleksandrovich Grammatikov (born in 1942).
In the first year, an excerpt from Arbuzov’s play “My Poor Marat” by Svetlana and her classmate was recognized as the best in the course. Students from all over the university came to see the composition. During her studies, the girl lived in a dormitory, often staying with her classmates to rehearse until late at night, sometimes spending the night there. From time to time, Svetlana managed to act in films , but mostly she had to refuse many offers due to her studies.
Studying at a theater university lasted four years. Among the graduation works in which the talented student took part were: “Marriage” by director I. Tsalon, “Three Sisters” by director Y. Ilyashevsky, “In the First Person” by director Y. Zhzhenov. Svetlana graduated from GITIS with honors.

It’s somehow even stupid to explain why we love actress Svetlana Ustinova. For the hat she wore in the second “Boomer” from Pyotr Buslov. For the flexibility of yoga fans. Because, oddly enough, she is already eighteen. Because the last time a girl looked like this, her name was C. For... well, in general, these photographs clearly show why.
The future star was born in Severodvinsk, a city founded by the Soviet Politburo on the site of a shipyard (in the 16th century, the only seaport in Russia stood in these parts). Along with the city, the Yagrinsky forced labor camp, which provides it with labor, grew. Among the famous people of Severodvinsk, Alexei Sidorov and the widow of Lee Harvey Oswald stand out. Ustinova has never heard of the wife of the killer Kennedy, but the director of the popular TV series “Brigada” is the uncle of her classmate. “This is a beautiful northern city, there is a beautiful White Sea. It’s quite cool, and to swim you have to walk at least a kilometer until the water reaches at least your thigh. But the sand is soft, white, like on some islands.” In winter, the white sand is blocked by white ice; in spring, ice drifts push it away. In short, the perfect climate for a romantic.
Ustinova studied at a language gymnasium (“English major, German second, Spanish optional”) and dreamed of a career as a translator. The daughter's plans were thwarted by her father and 1999. “Dad said: you already have languages, but the country now needs economists.” Having moved to Moscow, Sveta obediently crammed her unloved mathematics, first at the University of Economics and Statistics, then at the Financial Academy, until one evening she met Pyotr Buslov in a Moscow cafe.
“The filming of the second “Boomer” was given to me through agony and suffering, with all the emotional outbursts and depressions. Explosions from pyrotechnics and physical stress were the least of what we had to endure. The main work took place inside. When fifty people are looking at you at the same time and waiting for something. It’s unclear what they’re waiting for.”

At that time, Sveta had already been studying at VGIK for six months, and when her classmates saw her face on posters throughout the city, they didn’t believe their eyes. “Life turned upside down, people turned inside out, changed before my eyes. Someone stayed, someone came, someone, on the contrary, fell off. It was very interesting to play this solitaire.” The premiere was celebrated with a big one, which the fellow actors bought with their last money.
Cotton shirt, Guess; jeans, Diesel Black Gold
Ustinova’s place as her favorite director is forever reserved for Buslov (the actress calls him by his first name and patronymic – Pyotr Viktorovich). But the list of those with whom I would like to work is constantly growing: Zvyagintsev, Germanika, Bondarchuk, Mikhalkov, Popogrebsky, Khlebnikov, Khomeriki, Melikyan. In the meantime, Sveta is filming in three projects at once, from Odessa to Hamburg (here, on the set of the oldest series in Germany, “Crime Scene,” the German language was very useful). And during the breaks he manages to fly to Mexico to meditate and open his chakras.

The first thing that young Sveta from Severodvinsk once thought about after watching a program about movie stars on the newly launched MTV was: “And why do they get so much?” By the age of thirty, the actress received a comprehensive answer: “You are required to constantly improve. Tolerate when there is no work, work when there is a lot of it. Not seeing family. And constantly move on. Now I’m thinking of going to ballet and doing vocals – I’ve dreamed of it since childhood. And I really want to sing in a musical. Like Moulin Rouge or Chicago, remember?”
