Yan Gordienko is a popular Russian-language video blogger from Ukraine, best known under the pseudonym YanGo.

Yan Gordienko was born on October 28, 1998 in Kramatorsk. There is very little information about his parents on the Internet. It is known that the guy has a younger brother, whose name is Tikhon.

Jan's father is a businessman, the owner of a large enterprise. At the same time, the boy was not particularly spoiled as a child. For example, he was given only ten hryvnia for a week.

At school, Ian was a good student. Since childhood, I was fond of sports: I played tennis and hockey quite seriously. In high school, I started running periodically in the evenings.

In April 2014, an armed conflict began in eastern Ukraine. The Gordienko family had to move to Moscow for a while. Now his relatives still live in Kramatorsk, and Ian himself lives in Kyiv.

Biography

Ian was born on October 25, 1998 in the city of Kramatorsk. Jan's parents couldn't come up with a name for him and wanted to call him Oleg, but then they decided on the original version of Jan. I must say that this name is very suitable for a blogger. When the boy was twelve years old, his brother Tikhon was born. Ian doesn’t say anything about his parents. It is known that they still live in Ukraine.

From early childhood, Ian showed himself to be a creative person

As for Ian himself, he grew up as a very active and inquisitive guy. He studied well at school and pleased his parents with grades of four and five. Additionally, the boy studied English, went to karate, studied music, played hockey, tennis, and went swimming. As he got older, Ian mastered riding a BMX bike and learned to skateboard. He was interested in everything and tried to play different sports.

According to Gordienko, he studied well at school, but he had almost no friends. Ian himself says that he always lived in his own world, was on his own wavelength, so he could not find a common language with other guys. However, he was not particularly worried about this. Note! Jan's hobbies were fickle. He quickly got tired of every sport and activity. But there was something in the guy’s life that he liked for a long time - shooting videos. By Jan’s own admission, in the early stages he was inspired by Ivangai’s work. Already at the start, the YanGo channel showed good growth. As a result, Ian became famous at a fairly young age.

In 2015, the guy received a silver button, which is awarded for one hundred thousand subscribers. Naturally, Ian didn’t stop there. He continued to make interesting videos and win the hearts of viewers.

In 2021, he was sent a golden button for his first million followers.

As Ian said in an interview, while still an eleventh grader, he was already earning from one and a half to two thousand dollars a month. Moreover, most of the amount was provided not by direct advertising, but by monetization of videos.

Having graduated from school, Gordienko understands: higher education is not for him. At that time, the guy already had more than a million subscribers, a stable income, a golden YouTube button and the prospect of building a good career outside of the popular video hosting site. After talking with his parents, he packs his things and, being a 17-year-old boy, moves to Moscow. Since then, Ian lived in Russia, America, returned to his native Ukraine, and generally traveled very often, changing his habitat, partly because practically no one in Europe or the States knew him, and he could move around undetected.

At the same time, Ian went to TV programs (“Ukraine Speaks”, Comedy Club), participated in collaborations with colleagues in the shop (Nastya Ivleeva, Sasha Spielberg, Alexander Gudkov), gave interviews (“Tender Editor”, “Ze Interviewer”), met with a huge number of new people, played sports and hung out a lot. Gordienko also tried to open up in the acting field. In 2016, he played the role of himself in two films by Timur Bekmambetov - “Yolki 5” and “Hack the Bloggers.” The latter failed at the box office and received a rating of 1/10 on KinoPoisk. What can I say? It hurt, Ian.

In it, the blogger answered questions that subscribers had accumulated during his absence, and talked about where he had been, what he had been doing, and what would happen to his channel now. And to draw attention to his return, Yan distributed leaflets, launched the hashtag #YanGoGreatAgain, and rode a snowboard with a flag, eventually placing his poster on the biggest screen in Kyiv. Such a large-scale PR would not have been possible without a whole team of creators, which Gordienko assembled over several months. Now on his channel there are collaborations with the guys from Magic Five, yoga challenges with Ivangay, tests of experiments from TikTok, pranks and a lot of other entertainment. Scandalous show Hype Camp

In the summer of 2021, the premiere of the new YouTube project Hype Camp took place. Yan Gordienko managed to act in films twice. In both cases, the guy played himself. The first film is “Hack the Bloggers.” The film was released in 2021. Most likely, the general public would never have known about it, but Evgeny Bazhenov made a devastating review of it, which collected millions of views and gave rise to a big scandal. Also in 2021, the premiere of the fifth film in the popular “Christmas Trees” franchise took place.
