On June 25, 1972, in the historical city of Kaluga, a girl was born into the family of a military man, who was named Svetlana. There were no artists or stage personalities in the family, and why Letunovskaya chose such a creative profession in the future is anyone’s guess. Probably, Svetlana was pushed into theatrical and cinematic work by the talent and incredible charm inherent in the actress from birth.

At school, the girl showed diligence in her studies, so there were o’s and “five” in her diary. After graduating from school in 1989, the future TV star did not choose an acting profession, but entered the library department of the Tambov branch of the capital’s Institute of Culture.
The girl moved to the capital of Russia to continue her studies as a librarian. Sveta completed her studies at the Moscow State Institute of Culture until 1993.

The first work after which Svetlana began to be recognized was her work in the detective series “The Eyes of Olga Korzh”. The year was 2002. Indeed, a surprisingly twisted storyline covering the life of Russia at the end of the 19th century. There was everything: love, hatred, intrigue, beautiful heroes and luxurious outfits. This became one of the components of the success of this story.

The actress pleases cinema lovers with diverse roles, her role expands over time. Svetlana’s filmography includes both comedic roles in sitcoms and sharp-character heroines of action films and thrillers. But for the most part, the girl plays confident beauties who defy fate and are not afraid of difficulties, and also make successful men fall in love with them.
