  1. Apple orchard

    Perhaps one of the most popular places for a wedding photo shoot in Kolomenskoye is the spacious apple orchards. It is amazingly beautiful here in the summer; you can take stunning shots among the symmetrically growing apple trees. Many brides and grooms go on a wedding walk to Kolomenskoye specifically for the apple orchards. It is especially beautiful here during the flowering season; there are gardens with white and pink apple trees, the pink ones are located not far from the palace of Alexei Mikhailovich.

  2. Wedding photo shoot near the palace in Kolomenskoye

  3. Palace of Alexei Mikhailovich

    I won’t focus much attention on the palace, since it houses a functioning wedding palace, it’s always very crowded there, you can take a couple of panoramic shots with the palace in the background. There are also shots on wooden stairs, near arches, but due to the large crowd of people, the location can not be called the most successful. But on a rainy or cool day, you can arrange to shoot inside the palace, and this is an undeniable advantage of the location.

  4. Wooden fences in Kolomenskoye

  5. Wooden fences

    On the way from the palace to the gardens, you should definitely take a few pictures against the backdrop of wooden fences; they will fit especially well with the theme of Provence, rustic or eco. The photographs here turn out to be very atmospheric.

  6. Church of the Ascension in Kolomenskoye

  7. Ancient architecture

    Everyone knows that Kolomenskoye has a rich history, in addition to the wooden palace, there is ancient architecture: white stone churches rising majestically on the hills, huge fields and hills - all this is an ideal backdrop for wedding photographs.

  8. Wedding on the embankment in Kolomenskoye

  9. Embankment

    Passing by the old part of the reserve, you go down to the embankment, where you can also take very beautiful shots. And if you show enough skill and go down to the water, you can take very unusual shots, reminiscent of the sea coast rather than a capital park.

  10. Photo session in the Kolomenskoye estate: review of beautiful locations for shooting

Of course, newlyweds often choose only one or two locations for a photo shoot in Kolomenskoye, because the park here is very large and it will take at least 3 hours to take pictures in all the beautiful places. Few people have so much time to walk on their wedding day.

Also keep in mind that you need to walk a lot around the park, so comfortable shoes for the bride are a must!

Advantages and disadvantages

Pros and cons of including Kolomenskoye Park in the wedding route
Kolomenskoye Park-Estate is one of the best places in the capital for organizing a wedding photo shoot. However, it is best to organize it on a weekday or during low traffic times. By carefully approaching this issue, the newlyweds can easily get both unforgettable impressions from the walk and excellent memory shots at any time of the year.

pros

pros

  • huge territory;
  • a variety of natural and historical attractions;
  • possibility to organize a river trip;
  • You can negotiate additional services, such as renting a horse-drawn carriage.

Minuses

Minuses

  • on weekends there are not enough parking spaces for everyone;
  • if the weather is good, it will be difficult to find privacy for a photo shoot;
  • Due to the large distance between key photography locations, both the newlyweds and guests may be physically tired from the walk.

Wedding banquet in Kolomenskoye: what options are there?

As I wrote above, the good thing about the estate is that you can spend the entire wedding day here, including the banquet part.

During the cold season, banquet halls located in the Alexei Mikhailovich Palace are at your service:

  • A very impressive white hall with a capacity of up to 50 people
  • Blue Hall, which can accommodate up to 40 guests
  • The theater hall, where ceremonies are held in addition to banquets, can accommodate up to 40 guests

In the warm season, the best solution would be to hold a banquet in a tent - the snow-white structure allows you to decorate the celebration in any style, and the guests will be much more comfortable than indoors.

  • Tent at the Palace of Alexei Mikhailovich

    It is the largest of all possible options and can accommodate about 200 people. One of the disadvantages here is the proximity to the palace, around which it is always very crowded. You can also hold a ceremony right next to the tent.

  • Wedding in the Apple Orchard tent in Kolomenskoye

  • Tent Apple Orchard

    My favorite option, the tent is located in a secluded corner, there are not as many passers-by as in other places. They also conduct on-site registrations in the clearing next to the tent. The venue can accommodate up to 70 guests.

  • Tent on the embankment

    As the name suggests, it is located near the water, which makes it possible to take interesting shots during musical breaks. The capacity of the site is up to 130 people. As you can see, there are a lot of options for holding a wedding in Kolomenskoye, you can plan the most suitable program for yourself.
