What you will need:
- Beam 50x50 mm;
- Boards 30 mm thick;
- Waterproof fabric (Oxford type or awning fabric); m
- Level;
- Wood stain or drying oil (to protect the structure and give the wood a beautiful shade);
- Miter box (for creating angles of 45 and 90 degrees);
- Hand saw;
- Screwdriver and/or drill;
- Nails/screws;
- Sewing machine (for sewing the roof cover);
Creation of a prefabricated structure:
- Base . Use a miter box to prepare the boards for the base. You will need a 45 degree angle on each of the boards;
- Supports . They should be attached to the base that has not yet been assembled with large nails or self-tapping screws. Additionally, it is possible to fix the supports using short stops made of 50 mm timber coming from the base (they should also be cut at 45 degrees on each side).
- Next, we assemble the base together with the supports into a common frame and make the top trim;
- Assembling a pitched roof.
- We cover the wood with stain ;
- a cover for the roof from thick fabric .
- Floor . Having provided floor joists, you can cover the floor with boards, which can be easily sanded and varnished later. Another option is to lay laminate flooring over a wooden floor. If you have the means, try laying paving slabs;
- The supports can be covered with curtains to match the roof, tying them just above the base or exactly in the middle. You can hang a cornice on a wooden structure, take a thick canvas and make sliding curtains. You can hang an anti-mosquito cloth as a second layer to make your guests comfortable in the evening.
How to simplify the task? If you are planning to organize a celebration on private territory, and the number of guests does not exceed 15-20 people , then it will be enough to purchase a ready-made version of a garden tent and install it yourself. The cost of such awnings varies from 4 to 30 thousand rubles . You can buy them in specialized stores or large gardening hypermarkets.
Outdoor tent for weddings and wedding ceremonies
Common design. All tents are sold unassembled. After assembly and the banquet, they are disassembled, folded and transported to another location for storage or a new event. In addition, this is the least expensive tent option.
In case of rain or wind, the side walls of any prefabricated tent are covered with light-transmitting PVC material and are made of glass panels, polycarbonate, or opaque plastic. - 4-pitch – for rectangular ones up to 10 m long,
- 2-pitch – for rectangular ones from 10 m long,
- pyramidal - for squares up to 10x10 m,
- pagoda roof – for square ones from 3x3 to 10x10 m,
- hexagonal - for tents of the corresponding shape.
The tent can be easily assembled by several people without the use of a crane, so popular sizes are medium 5x5 m, 5x10 m or 5x15 m - it can be assembled in a couple of hours.

Tip: prefabricated tents are connected to each other, pagodas look especially impressive. Most often, 5x5 m structures are combined.
There are no pillars inside to support the roof, this gives additional space and a feeling of lightness. Installed on grass, sand, concrete, i.e. no foundation needed.

Tip: When installing a tent, it is mandatory to connect it to the ground with anchor bolts or weight the support poles with concrete or metal weights.
The frame of modern tents is made in the form of metal pipes - steel and aluminum, with a protective coating. Powder painting and galvanizing protect against corrosion.
The frame can be made of wood - this design will look attractive and advantageous during a wedding.
The disadvantages of prefabricated tents include:
- Seasonality. During the cold season, holding an event in an open tent is not convenient, since it is necessary to allocate an area for a wardrobe and resolve the heating issue. To solve the problem, air heaters, thermal mushrooms or heat guns are used.
- Insects. To combat them, you will have to use aromatic substances and also use nets.
- Facilities. You will have to additionally organize a mobile toilet.
- Installation of audio and lighting equipment. There are no free elements, the equipment will have to be placed on the floor or additional structures must be installed.
- Electricity supply. It is necessary to calculate in advance the required power and the number of portable energy generators for lighting, heating and equipment. Generators must be placed so that noise does not interfere with the event.
Tip: don't forget about the floor. Place a wooden base inside, covered with carpet - guests will appreciate it!
