Women's weaknesses. Three men and one love by Valentina Titova

Valentina Titova under her belt . The heyday of her work occurred in the late 60s - 70s, but viewers still remember her very well as Marya Gavrilovna in “The Snowstorm”, Nina in “Shield and Sword”, Elena Talberg in “Days of the Turbins”, Freda Kaplan in "Dangerous turn."

Titova's life behind the scenes is no less interesting than the plots of the romantic films in which she starred. They fell in love with her to death and recklessly. But the screen image did not fit with the real character of the artist - the uncompromising Titova, even being the wife of legendary personalities, remained herself. AiF.ru recalls the story of the famous actress, in whose life there were many men and one love - cinema.

Childhood and youth

The biography of the future star began on February 6, 1942 (zodiac sign - Aquarius) in the city of Kaliningrad, which in 1996 was renamed Korolev. It is important not to confuse it with another Kaliningrad; Titova’s homeland is located in the Moscow region. Valentina spent her childhood in another city. Sverdlovsk became it. It was there that the girl and her parents were evacuated because of the Great Patriotic War.

The next notable appearance of the actress was Nina in the 4-episode feature film “Shield and Sword.” The film quickly gained popularity, so that Titova already gained great fame in her youth.

The year 1970 for Valentina Antipovna was marked by joining the troupe of the Film Actor Studio Theater in Moscow. Titova had quite a lot of work, but a problem arose: she was offered only supporting characters. However, the artist herself did not see anything wrong with minor and episodic roles. According to her, such works allowed her to reveal her acting potential from all sides.

Valentina Antipovna believed that 2-3 main roles could do a disservice to an actor, and her judgments were close to the truth. There were plenty of artists who became hostages of their role both in the USSR and abroad.

The films in which the young star starred in minor roles are known to this day. These include “TASS is authorized to declare...”, “Days of the Turbins” and “The Testament of Professor Dowell”.

Perestroika and the 90s affected the actress’s career. The number of projects during a difficult period for the country has greatly decreased. The artist did not disappear from the screens, but began to appear much less frequently. The most notable projects with Titova’s participation were “It is not recommended to offend women” and both parts of “Love in Russian.”

The number of projects in which Valentina Antipovna participated continued to decrease. Titova did not lose heart and delighted her fans with remarkable, albeit rare appearances on screens. These include roles in the detective story “Amazon” and the TV series “Evlampia Romanova 2”, “Priceless Love”.

The famous actress often appeared on television programs. In 2021, the artist visited the programs “Ideal Repair” and “While Everyone is Home.” Valentina Antipovna became a guest of Yulia Menshova on the project “Alone with Everyone”.

Until the end of the 80s, she acted a lot.

In the post-Soviet period, Titova appears less often on screen. These years were marked by her work in both films of the series “Love in Russian” directed by Evgeny Matveev . The last time the actress took part in a small role in the TV series “Priceless Love” was in 2013.

Personal life

Titova's relationships and personal life could be a good basis for the plot of a melodrama or even a tragedy. Although the actress herself claims that there were many happy moments in her life, to an outside observer this may seem like an exaggeration. Out of 3 serious relationships, none of them ended with a happy ending.

The first serious love for the actor Vyacheslav Shalevich could not only become an obstacle in the actress’s career, but also put an end to her fate in theater and cinema. Firstly, Valentina Antipovna’s lover was married. Secondly, he lived in Moscow, and the young artist studied in Leningrad. Because of her love, Titova almost lost her place in a prestigious acting studio.

What saved the actress from not the best decision is unknown, but during the filming of “Blizzard,” the film’s director was extremely persistent in courting the girl. Titova’s heart could not help but respond to the advances of Vladimir Basov. The first husband turned out to be 18 years older than the chosen one. Pretty soon the relationship reached its logical conclusion - the lovers got married.

In marriage, the star gave birth to 2 children. Alexander was born first in 1965, and in 1971 daughter Elizabeth was born. Unfortunately, the married couple could not be called happy. The difficult character of Basov, who at that time had already been divorced twice, had an effect.

The result was the divorce of the spouses, which was accompanied by a rather loud scandal. The court's decision did not add any pleasant colors to the situation. Alexander and Elizaveta stayed with their father, and Titova left the family.

There were rumors that she already had a relationship with her future second husband, the famous Soviet cameraman Georgy Rerberg. Valentina Antipovna herself denies this and claims that after the divorce she went to a rented apartment. The second wedding did not have to wait long. She married Rerberg. This period can be called the happiest for the actress. But 20 years of marriage ended in tragedy. In 1999, Titova became a widow.

Today, in addition to children, the star has a grandson and a granddaughter - from his son and daughter, respectively. The actress did not marry for the third time, and nothing is known about less serious relationships.

The artist lives alone. Since she has not earned any titles from the state during her creative career, she receives a meager pension. Titova does not have accounts on social networks, but her photo can be found in the media.

The love story of Valentina Titova and Vladimir Basov

Before meeting Titova, Vladimir Basov visited the registry office twice. The director’s first chosen one was actress Rosa Makagonova, his second wife was Natalya Fateeva, who received public recognition after the release of the comedy “Three Plus Two.”

When Basov saw Valentina and was captivated by her beauty, Vladimir Pavlovich was divorced. She came to audition for the main role in the film adaptation of the story by A.S. Pushkin, which was filmed by the director. Despite the fact that Titova previously had experience working in only a few episodes, he approved Valentina, refusing casting to the rest of the contenders.

Note: Some sources claim: Vyacheslav Shalevich introduced Titov to Basov. He wanted to help his beloved break into the world of cinema, but did not expect that Vladimir would fall in love with Valentina.

At evening gatherings with friends, Basov said that he would certainly win the heart of the young beauty (Titova was 19 years younger). Vladimir Pavlovich began to show Valentina signs of attention. The aspiring actress did not take the director’s advances seriously.

Her heart belonged to someone else; the artist hoped that Shalevich would decide to take a serious step. Titova treated Basov with respect as a director and actor. But the girl did not see Vladimir Pavlovich in the role of her husband.

The master was not going to give up and continued the assault on the impregnable fortress. After filming “The Blizzard,” Titova returned to work in the theater. During one of the rehearsals, Valentina received a call and was told that Basov was asking a girl to come to the hotel.

When the actress arrived, the master was not alone in the room; he asked his friend to propose to Titova on his behalf. At the same time, Shalevich called Basov’s room and asked his beloved to come out into the corridor.

The actress was tired of wandering around the hostels, she dreamed of having her own home, raising children, and being loved. Valentina informed Vyacheslav that she was marrying Vladimir Pavlovich. Later, the artist repeatedly heard whispers and reproaches behind her back that she accepted Basov’s offer for selfish reasons.

He already had a name, status, apartment. Valentina is an aspiring actress, whose husband made a star. In his films, Vladimir Pavlovich filmed his wife in the leading roles. Joint work of spouses:

  • "Nylon 100%";
  • "Dangerous bend";
  • "Back to life";
  • "Shield and Sword";
  • "Blizzard".

Valentina learned to publicly ignore Basov’s office romances, so that spiteful critics would have no reason to rejoice behind her back.

Basov's wife Valentina Titova coped with the roles perfectly. The couple registered their relationship in 1965, when their son Alexander was born. Valentina registered the boy under her last name, giving him the middle name Valentinovich. The director was boiling over how his son would bear someone else’s name. The next day he hurried to take the application to the registry office.

Employees of the state institution met the famous director halfway and registered the marriage on the same day. Until this time, Basov was in no hurry to put a stamp in his passport. He didn’t even come to pick Titova up from the maternity hospital, sending a car for her. Basov’s mother also did not seek to get Valentina as her daughter-in-law.

In 1969, Titova gave birth to a daughter. Elizaveta Basova became a dancer. The presence of two children could not keep the actress close to the director when he began to lean heavily on the bottle. In addition, “well-wishers” regularly informed Titova in which restaurant (most often these were fleeting intrigues) her husband was spending time.

Now the actress is already at an advanced age and has almost stopped acting in films. The latest project in the artist’s filmography was the 2-part detective story “The Makarovs,” which premiered in 2020.

The plot of the project tells about a summer affair that turns into a huge problem for Mikhail. The girl with whom the hero began an easy affair took advantage of the support of her relatives and charged the guy with rape. Misha's parents get involved and are ready to start a merciless war with the adventurer Stella and her relatives in order to save their son.

Titova's colleagues on the set were Artem Vershinin, Marina Volkova, Mikhail Kremer, Svetlana Chuikina.

In November 2021, Valentina Antipovna attended Boris Korchevnikov’s program “The Fate of a Man” as a guest and in an interview spoke about the difficult ups and downs of her life.

The first marriage with director Vladimir Basov, according to the artist, was not happy. Titova was credited with having affairs with famous people, for example, with Savely Kramarov. The husband was furiously jealous, but at the same time he cheated, began to abuse alcohol, and could hit. The actress also shared her memories of how her colleague Natalya Fateeva, Basov’s ex-wife, tried to get him back.

The official cause of death of the artist’s second husband, cameraman Georgy Rerberg, was heart failure. But Titova is sure that this is murder; she knows the name of this woman, but is afraid to name it publicly.
