Alexander Pushnoy: biography, creativity, career, personal life

Childhood and youth

Alexander was born in Novosibirsk in the spring of 1975. There is no information on the Internet about Pushny’s paternal and maternal relatives, and therefore it is difficult to say exactly what nationality the musician is.

My parents had nothing to do with the stage or creative professions. Father Boris Mikhailovich worked in cybernetics, and mother Nina Dmitrievna worked as an economist. But they began to teach their son to music as a child - they sent him to a music school, where Sasha studied piano for 5 years.

After graduating from high school, Alexander did not follow the path of music, but entered the prestigious Novosibirsk State University at the Faculty of Physics. Pushny managed to obtain a higher education diploma, although he spent much more time on the KVN student team. The guy wrote funny songs for performances, helped with the script, and later began to go on stage himself.

In 1997, Pushnoy traveled with the NSU KVN team to Moscow, where, during the qualifying round of the Major League, he presented a parody of the singer Sting to the audience. This number instantly makes Alexander famous. After graduating from university, the young man joins the KVN team “Siberian Siberians”, and then plays for the “Children of Lieutenant Schmidt”. Then his promotion on television as a presenter begins.

Childhood and family of Alexander Pushnoy

Alexander Borisovich Pushnoy was born on May 16, 1975 in the city of Novosibirsk. His parents were representatives of the world of science. My father worked in the field of cybernetics, and my mother was an economist. That is why at an early age everyone hoped that in the future Sasha would also follow in their footsteps, but in the end everything turned out completely differently.

Weight of 82 kilograms only emphasizes his beauty

Already at the age of seven, Alexander Pushnoy began attending music school. At first, the training was quite difficult, however, later our today’s hero still found his charm in piano music and began to study it with great enthusiasm. At the age of twelve, he also picked up the guitar and played keyboards. However, Sasha learned to play it on his own.

Thus, already at an early age, music and creativity became an important part of the young guy’s life. He often performed in front of friends and peers, but after graduating from school he still did not enroll in a conservatory or theater university and decided, like his parents, to go into science. In 1992, he entered the Faculty of Physics of Novosibirsk State University, from which he successfully graduated a few years later.

Personal life

Few people know that Alexander suffers from a weak form of color blindness: the musician distinguishes colors, but from time to time the surrounding objects fade for him.

Pushnoy arranged his personal life in his youth; the wedding took place in August 1998. The musician’s chosen one was a girl named Tatyana. The TV presenter’s wife works as a designer and also runs a blog dedicated to handicrafts. Recently, Tatyana Pushnaya has been intensively making cards, albums and other gifts using the scrapbooking technique.

In 2004, the first-born Dmitry appeared in the family, and in 2009 Tatyana gave birth to her son’s younger brother, who was named Mikhail. In 2016, I was pleased with the birth of a boy named Andrey. They lived in Dolgoprudny for a long time and only in 2015 they moved to Moscow with their children.

He covers details about the projects in which Pushnoy participates on his verified Instagram page. Although most of the artist’s photos are dedicated to his work, he periodically publishes family photos. Among these are photographs of parents who were captured at a young age. The musician’s subscribers did not miss the opportunity to notice that he is more like his father.

TV projects and films

In 2004, Tatyana Lazareva and Mikhail Shats invited Pushny to the TV program “Good Jokes” as a co-host. The APOZH competition, invented by Alexander, became extremely popular, although the show itself did not have the highest ratings.

After the closure of “Good Jokes,” Alexander began hosting the scientific and educational program “Galileo” on the STS channel. In total, over a thousand episodes were filmed. Moreover, the first programs were made at a Munich studio, and then filming was moved to Moscow. This show was very popular among viewers and attracted a large audience. Pushnoy conducted various physical and chemical experiments in front of camera lenses. And it must be said that these spectacular experiments were not always safe. For example, during the “Termite” experiment, Alexander severely burned his hand.

In 2007, the man created a new program “Who is smarter than a fifth grader?”, which combined both entertaining and educational components. In this program, guests answered questions from elementary school. After the project was closed, the TV presenter, together with Mikhail Shats and Tatyana Lazareva, made an improvisational show “Song of the Day”, in which they told, or rather sang, the latest world news to the accompaniment of a guitar to the tune of famous hits of past years.

In the years when Comedy Club was just beginning to gain popularity, Pushnoy was also one of the permanent residents of the comedy show. All his skits took place with a guitar in his hands, as a rule, he sang songs, playing them funny.

In 2009, Pushnoy’s filmography was expanded with the series “Give Youth! Digests", he played a cameo. Alexander appeared only in a short episode, which the audience remembered for a long time. After all, he had to film in his underpants.

In addition, during his career as a TV presenter, the man appeared in such programs as “Always Cook!”, “Creative Class”. Then on the Match TV channel he hosted the show “Crazy Sports”, in which he found out who was “cooler” - ballerinas or gymnasts, football players or hockey players, and so on.

In 2014, Pushnoy was invited to the program “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” He answered the host’s questions together with Yuli Gusman. They chose the fireproof amount of 200 thousand rubles, but were unable to take it home. The men answered the ninth question incorrectly: “What color is a tiger’s skin?” The participants used the “call a friend” prompt; Edgard Zapashny assured his comrades over the phone that the tiger’s skin was pink. But the correct answer turned out to be different.

In January 2018, the episode of the program “NTV Apartment House at Margulis” was dedicated to Alexander Pushny. Evgeniy told how he met the musician, remembering that their first meeting took place at KVN, Sasha played the drums and read poetry.

In May 2019, Alexander appeared in the program “Live Healthy!”, aired on Channel One. The issue was dedicated to burns. On air, Pushnoy told how he received a burn while filming, and the doctors told how to provide first aid for such skin damage.

On TV

"Good jokes"

In 2004, Tatyana Lazareva and Mikhail Shats invited Pushny to the TV program “Good Jokes” as a co-host. Alexander did not participate in the first releases of the program. The first part of the successful project took place at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya. Having completed the last filming of the season in the theater, the presenters promised that they would return. The return was not entirely successful - due to the fact that it was decided to release the program in a new format. The ratings were very low, and the program was closed after several episodes[11].

After some time, viewers were in for a surprise: there was an advertisement on STS that “Good Jokes” were returning. After the first broadcasts on television, the program was “reborn”, adjustments were made, while the studio remained as cozy and familiar as it had previously been in the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya. In 2010, the program was finally closed. For some time, reruns of old episodes of the program were broadcast on the STS TV channel at night. Currently, filming of the program has resumed.

The APOZH competition, invented and conducted by Alexander, has become extremely popular.

"Galileo"

The Galileo program is an analogue of the German product. In 2006, Alexander was offered to become the host of the scientific and educational program “Galileo”[12]. At first, filming took place in Munich. The program received an average rating. Further filming took place in a Moscow studio. Produced. Pushnoy told the “summaries” to the next story, of which there are 3-4 in the program. A total of 1029 episodes were broadcast.

Later, the Galileo team moved to a new set. In addition to the change of scenery, the format of the television program itself has changed: the airtime has increased from half an hour to an hour, and many new sections have appeared, one of which is called “Experiments.” The presenter conducts various experiments in front of the camera, clearly showing viewers how the laws of physics and chemistry “work.” In the experiment, “Termite” severely burned his hand. The program was very popular and continued until February 2013. The broadcast of the TV show was resumed on March 3, 2015 on the STS TV channel. 54 episodes were additionally shown (1030-1084). The ratings weren't as high as before, but they were still decent.

In 2014, 16 episodes of Megagalileo were filmed for weekly release. They were submitted to the STS channel, but have not yet aired. In 2015, a project was launched as part of the Galileo program, called “Desert Island”. On the official Galileo YouTube channel, the video received 100 thousand views in a week, and 200 thousand in a month.

“Who is smarter than a fifth grader?”

The program “Who is smarter than a fifth grader?” published from December 9, 2007 to July 20, 2008. In it, an invited participant (famous people were invited - actors, singers, TV presenters, writers) tried to answer questions from the school curriculum for grades 1-5.

"Song of the day"

On April 14, 2009, a new TV show “Song of the Day” was released. The presenters are the same trio Mikhail Shats, Tatyana Lazareva and Pushnoy. The presenters entertain viewers with the news of the past day in the form of songs based on well-known motives. The studio is furnished with a large kitchen. Lots of humor and improvisation.

Music

The professional musical biography of Alexander Pushnoy began in Novosibirsk, when he created the rock band “Bear”. It existed for 3 years, but managed to be noted for several songs of its own authorship, for example, “WWWalenki” and “Lenin sent everyone to May Day.”

After Pushnoy began playing in KVN, the musician’s career faded into the background. Only in 2004 did Alexander again start posting compositions on his website, and resumed his concert activities even later - in 2010. It was then that Pushny performed together with the group “Dzhankoy Brothers”, and with this composition the musician still tours the cities of Russia and Ukraine.

The artists also performed at the rock festival “Invasion” and in the TV show “Pair Run”, where their songs alternated with poems by Leonid Kaganov. On his YouTube channel, Alexander Pushnoy uploads music videos for his songs, as well as review videos about guitars from different manufacturers.

It should also be noted that Pushnoy, as a composer and singer, recorded songs for the television games “Thank God, you came!” and “Wall to Wall”, TV shows “Big Difference” and “Southern Butovo”, sketch show “Unreal Story” and “6 Frames”. Many films feature soundtracks written by Alexander, such as “Once Upon a Time in the Police,” “Casual Affairs,” “Superheroes,” “Traffic Light,” “Scribblers,” “Simple Truths” and many others. In some of them, Pushnoy appeared as an actor.

Alexander gave his voice to several characters in animated films. The TV presenter acted as a voice actor in the cartoons "Monsters on Vacation" and "Monsters on Vacation - 2", "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and its sequel, and then in the Franco-Belgian animated project "Ernest and Celestine: The Adventures of a Mouse and bear."

In 2012, in the show “Big Difference,” Pushnoy performed together with Zhanna Friske, literally creating a cover of her composition “La-la-la” on stage. The artists performed this song together, which greatly pleased the viewers of the program.

In 2013, Pushnoy posted a video on his YouTube channel for the song “Smile and Wave,” or rather its processed version.

On April 17, 2021, a trailer appeared on Pushnoy’s official YouTube channel. More than 100 thousand people subscribed to it, and individual videos collected up to 11 million views.

Alexander creates funny covers and adaptations of popular songs, for example, he once covered “Green-Eyed Taxi” in German in the style of the rock band Rammstein. Therefore, Pushnoy is not against the fact that his songs are also covered. The musician even records instructional videos in which he shows how to play the most popular compositions. In 2021 and 2017, he added video instructions to the channel with the songs “Why Am I an Idiot?” and "Gray-yellow spring."

In March 2021, the presenter posted on the YouTube channel a cover of the song “Transfer me through the Maidan” by Sergei and Tatyana Nikitin on an 8-string guitar. In the video, the musician also tells the story of the release of such guitars. The video is positioned as a musical experiment that does not carry any political meaning and does not address Ukrainian events.

And in May, the man appeared in a special edition of the music program “Behind the Stage”. Alexander spoke about new songs that he plans to record not in the studio, but at the dacha, and about Balunov’s video, in which he participates in the filming with his son.

In the same year, Pushny was invited to host the “Physicists and Lyricists” column on Mayak radio. The artist’s co-host was Margarita Mitrofanova. Then the podcast went off the air for some time, but began broadcasting again in September 2019.

Full-length album “As a rule - no rules!” appeared in Pushny's discography in 2021. And after some time, he presented a cover of the song “Everything is going according to plan” by the group “Civil Defense” and another in German, a song from the cartoon “The Bremen Town Musicians”.

Over time, Pushny’s work became increasingly popular among rock fans, and therefore in 2021 he decided to hold three concerts - in May they were held in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and in April in Yekaterinburg.

Musical activities

The musical activity of Alexander Pushnoy began in 1993 with the creation of the group “Bear”, which lasted until 1996. In the period from 1993 to 1996, songs such as “WWWalenki” or “Lenin sent everyone to May Day” were written.

After 1996, musical activity faded into the background: Pushnoy began playing in KVN and graduated from university. In 1999, Pushnoy revived his musical activities in the “BIS” program of Vasily Antonov and Alexander Tolokonnikov. From 2001 to 2005, he participated as a director and co-host of the “Always Cook!” program. (character “The Poet is a Loser”). When the official website of Alexander Pushnoy was created in 2004, new songs began to appear there, but Pushnoy still did not give concerts. This continued until 2008, when Good Jokes was closed. By that time, Alexander was hosting the Galileo program.

In 2009, the “Song of the Day” program appeared. Pushnoy appeared in every episode with a guitar. In June 2010, Alexander Pushnoy began his concert activities, managing to film in “Galileo”: on June 17, his concert took place at the “B2” club together with the group “Dzhankoy Brothers”. With this lineup, Pushnoy begins to tour not only throughout Russia, but also abroad (in particular, in Kyiv).

In 2011, Alexander Pushnoy with the same composition participates in the “Pair Run” program. The group's performances were interspersed with poems by Leonid Kaganov. On July 8, 2012, he participated in the rock festival “Invasion” as a presenter and as a participant together with the group “Dzhankoy Brothers”. In the summer of 2015, Alexander also participated in the “Invasion”.

Pushnoy has a YouTube channel www.youtube.com/user/PushnoyRU. There he uploads clips of his songs and videos about guitars (they were filmed solely so that Alexander himself could decide what kind of guitar he needed, and later became very popular, some of them were translated into English), there are many videos on which Pushnoy talks about recording sound. A couple of times, at the request of fans, Alexander recorded “tutorials” of his songs.

Pushny’s YouTube channel has more than 100 thousand subscribers, and his clips and videos about guitars have been viewed by 11 million people.

Alexander Pushnoy now

Pushnoy continues to delight his subscribers with new covers. In March 2021, he presented the popular hit “Grass at the House” in his own interpretation, posting the video on YouTube. And a month later, covers of the tracks “Beautiful Far Away” and “White Night” appeared on his channel.

At the end of April, the multi-instrumentalist musician re-recorded the Agatha Christie rock group’s song “Like in War,” admitting that the work of the brothers Gleb and Vadim Samoilov is an important part of his life. In the video, he used the same techniques as the musicians, singing while sitting on a stool, disappearing from time to time from the frame, and reappearing in the next one.
