Everything changed when Kuznetsov was in the 8th grade. During the literature lesson we studied the work “Boris Godunov”. Suddenly Andrei felt an irresistible desire to embody the image of Godunov on the theatrical stage. The son told his parents about his wishes, who reacted with skepticism. There was no increase in optimism after a conversation with an actress friend, who said that Andrei’s shyness and the stage are incompatible things.
But Kuznetsov showed persistence. After graduating from school, the young man set off to conquer Moscow. Since Andrei did not study for a day in theater clubs and did not even take part in school amateur performances, his chances of entering the capital’s theater university turned out to be illusory. Having failed the exams, the applicant returned home.
