Business

Eighteen years of successful work passed very quickly. In the first half of the nineties, most actors became unemployed. In those difficult times, many looked for themselves in new areas of activity, and the most enterprising ones built businesses.

Anatoly Rudakov also suffered from this fate. The famous actor received an offer to engage in the trade of metal alloys for construction organizations and enterprises. Company managers often used the artist’s recognition to achieve business deals and sign the necessary cooperation agreements; he became the “face” of the metallurgical company.

A few years later, Anatoly Rudakov decided to go into independent business and established his own metallurgical joint-stock company. The company's main contractors were metallurgical plants of the Ural District of the Russian Federation, and its customers were construction companies and large developers in the St. Petersburg region.

Anatoly Rudakov personal life

Anatoly Rodionovich never gave up his dream of returning to the film business. A large trading business brought financial independence, and the actor decided to open his own film production center, because not only actors, directors and cameramen, but also hundreds of filmmakers were left without work.

In the mid-2000s, he met a major businessman, a cinema fan, who agreed to become an investor in a film company and finance projects that Anatoly Rudakov offered him. The actor founded an enterprise called “Cinema Center” and began producing films. Its goal was to revive national cinema, create and release domestically produced feature films, as well as adventure films for children and teenagers.

Ivan Rudakov: “I radically changed my lifestyle”

Ivan Rudakov was born into a family of filmmakers. His father is screenwriter Alexey Rudakov, his mother is director Elena Nikolaeva. And he played one of his first notable roles (in the film “Pops”) with his mother. True, Ivan assures that he is generally against dynasty.

— Ivan, your filmography includes more than forty roles. Which ones do you consider iconic?

- “Gypsy girl with a way out”, “Loving does not renounce.” These are iconic. And so - all the roles are favorite. Especially when you have to play to overcome. For example, I had a role, not very big, but significant. I played a priest. The nineties. Humpback Bridge. And Father Mikhail, a real chaplain, was present there. Before filming, I went to see him, talked to him for a week, and followed him. He blessed me for the role. In the film I perform a baptism ceremony. It is believed that if you baptize, it doesn’t matter whether you are ordained or not, you must carry out this ceremony according to all the rules. It was goodness. Can you imagine people coming up and asking for advice? He honestly listened to everyone and answered. I was a priest.

— Now you are busy in four projects at once. Not hard?

- It is not simple. A huge amount of material to keep in mind. Sixteen episodes are one story, twelve are another. Somewhere I play in the twentieth century, somewhere in the present tense. And there are also images that are completely unusual for you as a person. And you need to understand and justify the actions of the heroes. After all, loving your character is a must. And that's what's hard. It used to take me a long time to come to my senses. But I have a lot of experience that helps me cope. Now I have learned to prepare. No other way. There's not enough strength.

The series “Gypsy with a Way Out” gave the actor a role that made him very popular. And on the set, Ivan met Laura Keosayan. Soon the colleagues became husband and wife, and then parents

— Is transforming a talent?

- I wouldn't say that. This is a technique. After all, what is professionalism? In my opinion, this is talent multiplied by skills, your skills and experience. As they say, talent alone will not satisfy you.

— How do you train your memory to remember such a quantity of text?

- These are already established things. In general, human memory is designed in such a way that it stores exactly the amount of information that you need. For example, I do it this way: you “throw” two, three, four scripts into it, which you are working on right now, and leave the rest for later. And somehow everything is remembered. It's like a mini-computer in your head. Well, over time, techniques appear on how to remember more. Before filming, I usually read the entire script, analyze my role, and consult with the director, if necessary. And just before entering the frame, I remember everything again.

— Do you have any taboos or, if the scenario is interesting, are you ready to make all concessions?

- Well, what are the taboos? There are certain standards for our cinema. And it’s clear that they don’t offer me porn anyway. Naturally, within a certain format, I am ready for anything. And I always try to do something new in the next project. This is interesting. It's important for me to grow. How does a person grow? Only when he steps out of his comfort zone. Everything that doesn't kill us makes us stronger. And I try to do this not only in the acting profession, but also in everyday life. For example, last year I participated in the reality show “My Fight” - several months of intense training with a professional trainer and wrestling in the ring. These things make you mobilize.

For the sake of the reality show “My Fight,” the actor mastered martial arts and even won a duel with a professional fighter.

— Why did you decide to take up mixed martial arts?

— I talked for a long time with coach Alexei Popov. And then I had health problems - after the premiere of one performance, I ended up in the hospital. And the doctors forbade me from lifting weights more than five kilograms, and in general from playing sports - forever. I was sad for a couple of months, then I went to filming in St. Petersburg. And there at some point he freaked out: he spat on all the doctors’ orders and ran. I ran after filming - first for three minutes, then for five, then for ten. And it really became easier - contrary to all logic and the doctors’ verdict. Then I went to the gym and went swimming. Then I started lifting weights - after about a year I was pushing ninety kilos from my chest. And somehow the idea of doing such a show struck me. I called Lesha: “What if we try?” As a result, in six months I went from scratch to the professional ring. And, by the way, when I later went to the doctors, they didn’t find anything for me. And they themselves could not even explain this phenomenon. Then they even examined me again and said that this was impossible in principle. And the show turned out great: I fought with a professional fighter and won.

— What else are you interested in besides sports?

— Since I have radically changed my lifestyle (I haven’t been drinking and playing sports for the last four years), my interests are different now. The desire to hang out somewhere no longer arises. I understand that most of all I get a thrill from those challenges to myself that I talked about.

— How do you like to relax?

— Last year I wandered around the Caribbean. It swept across all the pirate islands. In winter I visited Madagascar and left on a yacht. Again, the main thing when traveling is that it be adventurous.

— Your ex-wife is Laura Keosayan, in this marriage a daughter, Seraphim, was born. How often do you get to meet the heiress? And how is your relationship with her mother?

- I'm a Sunday dad. The relationship is wonderful. Laura and I are friends. Everything is fine. Yes, and my daughter unites. She's like a core. I love her madly. She looks a lot like me. Friends say that this is “little Vanya”. She is already teaching me something - not by what she says, but by her behavior. We have favorite places, favorite entertainment. We take walks, often go to the climbing wall, which she loves. Serafima loves to study and does it herself. For example, he studies languages. She took my tablet away from me when I was a year old. I still couldn’t speak, but I was already rummaging through this gadget. And I started watching cartoons and some educational programs in English. We then argued with Laura what language she would speak, Armenian or Russian. As a result, she said the first word in English. Looking at my car, she said: “Big black.” And now I’ve started learning poetry myself. We gave her a book by Marshak, now he calls me and tells me by heart.

Personal life

Ivan Rudakov met his ex-wife, the talented actress Laura Keosayan, on the set of the melodrama “Gypsy Girl Coming Out.” Laura played the main character, whose hand and heart was sought by Ivan’s hero.

There was no love at first sight. The feeling came when the young people looked at each other more closely during filming in Kaluga. After returning to Moscow, the couple got married. At first, their family life was happy. On the set of the series “Sklifosovsky” Laura learned about her pregnancy. Like the heroine of that film, she gave birth to a girl, whom her happy parents named Seraphim.
