Lyudmila Gurchenko: “plastic surgery” killed her?
Our article was not written to “disturb someone else’s laundry.” Following the ancient Romans, we will not talk bad about the deceased and gossip. We will try to look with different eyes at the one who left this life. For something that seems simple and easy, but in reality it is not. Take a look at what may have escaped the gaze of the mocking crowd... Those who are just looking for the next vulgarity, disgusting or abomination to write about the “stars” are engaged in constant “pouring from empty to empty.” Newspapers and the Internet are full of this. Even books are written about it! Lyudmila Gurchenko has undergone 8 plastic surgeries. So much has been written about the now deceased Lyudmila Gurchenko. Starting, by the way, with the “scoops”, when in 1957 after “Carnival Night”, wanting to destroy her as an artist, they threw newspaper mud at her. They managed to “hide her in the shadows” for 15 years. The continuers of the work of great nonentities did not calm down until her death, following every step, inventing new “sensations”... Well, don’t you want to say, dear author, that Gurchenko’s endless plastic surgeries are a fiction? No, I don't want to say. True, some adjustments are required. Firstly, not “infinite”, but eight. Maybe more, but your question, dear inquisitive reader, is not about the number of operations, of course, but just to once again roll your eyes and gasp: that’s what it is... You can be excused. After all, there was not a single article about the artist’s operations where the so-called “journalist” did not mock, did not attribute his idea, “for the sake of words,” so to speak, to “psychologism.” Her eyes hurt, she didn’t come to the concert due to illness - all of this, of course, is “the consequences of numerous plastic surgeries, for which the star is a record holder.” These “fortune tellers” will not fail to mention the actress’s age and her workload, but they just don’t take into account that with such activity at 70 years old it is simply impossible not to get sick. Yes, they don’t hide their “bazaar” character! Just look at the words they use for evidence: “probably”, “they say”, “there were rumors”. Even when expressions like “as we know” appear, how it became known is not said. They immediately slap on the doctor’s comment, but the question he is asked is general, and not about a specific case. And all this should convince us that Gurchenko is an “enemy of society”?! What about the facts? The way they are presented speaks for itself. Let's look at the chronology presented by a correspondent of one of the Russian newspapers:
1963 - a face untouched by plastic surgery. 1973 - there may have been a nose job. The nose has become different. The tip is lowered, which is very noticeable. 1981 - I don’t see any surgical intervention. The face is clearly aging. (I wonder who this “I don’t see” is? A professor of plastic surgery? Unfortunately, the unfortunate author did not bother to explain...). 1986 - clearly successful plastic surgery of the face and neck, plastic surgery of the upper and lower eyelids was performed. The face became younger. (Here we can partly agree. The face really looks younger. The photo doesn’t lie. Is it true, from the operations? Or maybe she’s just taking care of herself?). 1987 - something was done to the cheekbones (“Something” - what is it? Please explain, Mr. “Professor”, I’m writing it down...). Or they inserted some kind of prosthetic bones, making cheekbones, or pumped him up with something. At that time, apart from silicone, nothing else was pumped in. 2005 - probably had a facelift before that. In my opinion, the nose has been operated on again, because the nostrils have been trimmed. (“Probably”, “in my opinion”... Just some kind of criminologist!) Usually the rounded nostril comes out of the nasolabial fold, but here it seems to be at a right angle. The nostrils have become smaller. The shape of the eyes became narrowed. Something happened to the eyebrows. The face clearly has gel pumped into it. Maybe they even did her cheekbones again. The mouth is twisted. A hollow has appeared between the nose and lip - the nose extends in one direction, and the hollow in the other direction. It is possible that this is a consequence of unsuccessful plastic surgery. (So many assumptions for a small paragraph! Shame on you, “professor”...) And this happens to people when a cerebrovascular accident occurs (This means that there are still exceptions to “operational” reasons, dear!). 2010 - she definitely had a nose job. The nostril is not rounded and the scar is visible. And her end wing cartilage has split in the middle, so her nose seems to bifurcate at the end and is wide. Lumps have appeared around the nasolabial fold - these are the gels migrating, and that is why the face looks so bad. The end of 2010 is not a good look, just a “Michael Jackson mask.” Perhaps Botox was injected. The face became different. In this case, the “rejuvenation” was unsuccessful. But it’s not often that you can turn a 75-year-old into a 40-year-old. Well, thank you for recognizing at least some benefit in these operations. Otherwise, everyone just heckled the man for his desire to maintain his artistic form. They say he looks young in his old age, but everyone can see everything. Fools! You can’t see it from the audience, that’s the main thing. And there is no need to prove that this was the main thing for Lyudmila Markovna. For those who knew her, it is not necessary. You can't prove it to fools anyway. But for you, dear readers, I will give you a few statements from various publications. From them, I hope, you will be able to understand, you will be able to see the truth. Moreover, it contains the words of the artist herself: “Why did she do this? The actress was terrified that she would be “written off.” “After the success of Carnival Night, I had a very difficult period of oblivion,” admitted Gurchenko. - I dealt with it. But I don’t want this to happen again!” “Fate will squeeze a good person, squeeze him, and let him go, but if they spit in your back, it means you are going ahead.” “...When this severe leg injury happened, she told the correspondent: “Even if I’m in a wheelchair, but I will return to the stage!” “In response to the words of the surgeons, who dissuaded her from another operation, she firmly stated: “Do it, I said!” I must be beautiful! “I will do plastic surgery until the day I die!” - Now do you understand her inflexibility? And not one of the surgeons accused Gurchenko of some strange stupidity or childish glamor. Doctor Alexander Teplyashin: “The main thing is that she was full of strength, which forced her to go on stage, to catch the elusive light of the spotlights - only under it she lived...” Surgeon Sergei Kulagov: “I bow to the femininity of this actress, to the fact that she always looked stylish, modern, fashionable, and therefore did not leave the stage, but remained in demand..."
And Dr. Andrei Zvonkov even says this: “If she weren’t interested in plastic surgery, she would have left the screen long ago. Where do you see Brigitte Bardot? And no one would now grieve so much for Gurchenko, who showed an example of courage, an example of the fact that you can shine on stage even at her age. She gave it her all. Yes, perhaps I went too far with plastic. But even at 75 years old, everyone was looking at her.” What kind of frivolity can we even talk about here? Read the interview with her. How can a superficial person, speaking about his father, cite his words: “Fate will squeeze a good man, squeeze him, and then let him go, but if they spit in your back, it means you are going ahead.” No wonder she remembered them exactly! They helped her in difficult times and allowed her to look at life and other people correctly. And in conclusion, one more thought. Yes, by the way. When Lyudmila Markovna left this sinful world, many media outlets began to assert with the same unsubstantiated confidence that her death was the result of a large number of plastic surgeries. The official conclusion of the doctors is pulmonary embolism (PE). I give an extract from several medical sources, where I highlight the possible causes: The official conclusion of the doctors - Lyudmila Gurchenko died from pulmonary embolism. “PE is an acute blockage of the branches of the pulmonary artery by blood clots formed in the veins of the systemic circulation. The immediate cause is a blood clot that has migrated into the pulmonary artery from the location in the body where it formed. Most often - from the deep veins of the legs in the thigh - pelvic area. The formation of a blood clot in a vein occurs as a result of various reasons, for example, increased blood clotting, diseases of the leg veins, and the installation of various catheters into the leg veins during surgical procedures. The occurrence of thrombosis in the iliofemoral region is also facilitated by limited mobility, for example, during long air flights, forced long-term bed rest in the postoperative period, etc.” Even just glancing over the names of diseases and conditions, you can choose more than one reason for Lyudmila Markovna. Yes, among them are the consequences of operations, but not on the face and chest. Of course, as one of the accompanying, predisposing factors, plastic surgery can cause sepsis and accelerate the development of heart disease. In this regard, I remember an expression that very accurately conveys the essence of earthly existence: “Life is a dangerous thing: people die from it.” Constant movement, working hard, blows of fate, age and illness, operations and worries - all together can lead to death. Let’s not say what we don’t know for sure. By what right do we even talk about someone’s life? Can we judge someone for doing or not doing something? There is only one answer, the most correct: NO! Simply because we are not HE or SHE, and we do not know the internal motives of a person’s behavior, his external and internal conditions. Why did he do this? We don't know. The veil of uncertainty closes the soul...
Battle for Youth
But time passed, and along with it, youth disappeared irrevocably. Beauty was no longer something we took for granted; we had to fight for it surgically. Lyudmila Markovna performed her first anti-aging surgery in the early 80s, when she was just over 50 years old. Then, at the Moscow Institute of Beauty, the actress eliminated facial wrinkles, mesh and bags under the eyes with the help of face lifting and blepharoplasty. She performed the second major operation - a circular lift - already abroad. After it, the face turned out to be overtightened, and the condition of the skin still showed age. Gurchenko began to look for modern anti-aging products and methods. And I found them in Switzerland. Swiss doctors explained to the Russian actress: the innovation lies in the fact that they have learned to influence the deep layers of the skin with a special composition, including clay from the bottom of the Sea of Japan. Then 68-year-old Gurchenko was rejuvenated with selenium, which was a completely new direction in cosmetology. The result of the operation was excellent: in her new guise, Lyudmila Gurchenko seemed to have returned 15 years ago.
Lyudmila Gurchenko is almost the main record holder for plastic surgery among domestic stars. Even in her youth, with the help of blepharoplasty, she changed her eye shape to almond-shaped.
In 2000, the actress again had a circular facelift. Lyudmila Markovna liked the rejuvenating effect of the operation so much that in 2002 she decided to continue her “battle against time.” Using blepharoplasty, the artist again “tightened” her eyelids, after which she could not use eye makeup for almost a month. The operation was not very successful, and Gurchenko developed vision problems.
In the life of the great actress, surgical interventions were not always just aesthetic procedures. After a serious leg fracture, which Lyudmila Markovna suffered while filming the film “Mama,” the artist had almost no chance to lead a full life. Then the doctors made a terrible verdict: “Darling, you’ve done your dance...” About her communication with the doctors, Lyudmila Markovna herself says this: “All I have from my profession is a broken leg, and hence four operations, five hours each. My nose stopped breathing normally after filming “Twenty Days Without War,” where not only me, but the entire film crew, including Yuri Vladimirovich Nikulin, developed serious illnesses. But after a skillfully performed operation - rhinoplasty - (by the way, without anesthesia) I am breathing!”

There were legends about the plastic surgeries performed by Lyudmila Gurchenko. Like, the actress really wanted the audience to see her as exceptionally young and beautiful. She was imitated, admired, millions of women dreamed of having the same slender waist (as they said, only 44 centimeters), the same almond-shaped eyes, the same chiseled cheekbones, the same sensual lips...

During the Soviet years, Lyudmila Gurchenko was a client of the famous Beauty Institute on Arbat. According to rumors, Gurchenko went to plastic surgeons for the first time back in the 70s - it was then, as they say, that the shape of her eyes changed. The star liked the result. Also, some believe that in the early 70s the actress could have slightly adjusted the shape of her nose.

Then, as they say, in the 80s, the actress, who did not want to look her 50 years old, underwent a circular facelift, as well as “age-related” blepharoplasty. In the late 80s, many noticed that Gurchenko’s cheekbones became more defined. They also said that in the 90s Lyudmila Markovna turned to foreign plastic surgeons, but she did not like the results, then the star tried more than once to fix everything - already in her homeland.

Afterwards, when she found herself in disgrace and did not act, Gurchenko was very afraid that this would happen again. The star once admitted: “I had a very difficult period of oblivion. I don’t want this anymore.”
She was very worried about changes in appearance, which, alas, are inevitable with age. I did physical exercise every day, went on diets, and periodically took medications that remove excess fluid from the body and promote weight loss. At the same time, the actress was a person of incredible self-discipline. Colleagues said that Lyudmila Markovna worked out on exercise machines every day so as not to “lose” her magnificent figure.
