The rules for conducting ceremonial marriage registrations during coronavirus differ significantly in different regions. This is due to the current epidemiological situation in a particular republic, region or region. Rules for guests
In regions with a difficult epidemiological situation, guests have to stay behind the doors of the registry office: only a young couple starting their family life is allowed inside. In Saratov and several other regions, a different decision was made. The following is allowed here:
- invite relatives and friends at the rate of 1 person for every 4 m2 of registration hall area, including registry office employees and newlyweds;
- the entire company is asked to use a sanitizer at the entrance to the registry office;
- all guests must wear masks and gloves;
- it is prohibited to touch staircase railings or other interior elements unnecessarily;
- During registration, invitees must remain at a distance from the couple.
The ceremony time has been shortened in most cases. Civil registry office employees plan the schedule of ceremonial registrations so that groups of guests do not collide at the entrance to the building.

An example of neo-Gothic architecture, the Petrovsky Travel Palace, was erected in 1976-80s by order of Empress Catherine II to commemorate the successful end of the Russian-Turkish war. The building was built by architect Matvey Kazakov, who owns many famous Moscow projects, including the Novo-Ekaterininskaya Hospital, where the Moscow City Duma is located today, and the building of the capital's government. For a long time, the palace served as a place of rest for high-ranking officials who stopped there after a tiring journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow - hence the name “travel”. Today, the Petrovsky Travel Palace is located five minutes from the Petrovsky Park and Dynamo metro stations and only 10-15 minutes from the center.
The palace houses the Petroff Palace Boutique Hotel with 43 rooms, and wedding ceremonies are officially organized by the KST-Wedding agency, which offers several packages to choose from when booking. They differ in the number of guests (from 25 to 35 people), the duration of the ceremony (45-60 minutes) and the range of services (the presence or absence of a string quartet, master of ceremonies, floral decoration, etc.). Additional options are also available upon request: carriage and horse-drawn carriage, release of doves or launch of balloons, fireworks of live butterflies, arch with floral elements.
They are painted in the Petrovsky Travel Palace twice a month throughout the year (four times a month in the summer). Dates are discussed with the administration. You must submit an application to the Tverskaya Civil Registry Office (3rd Tverskaya-Yamskaya St., 52, +7 (499) 251-82-33).
Registration takes place in the Round Hall, and the buffet, if included in the program, takes place in the Palace Drawing Room. Photography in the palace premises is paid and must be booked in advance. You can also plan a walking wedding photo shoot in the park. The registry office is located almost in the very center of the capital. The building itself looks quite simple, but next to it there are many picturesque places for photo shoots, walks and banquets. Inside there is not only a hall for the official ceremony, but also three spacious terraces, an area for guests, and a relaxation room. A professional orchestra with a large repertoire and attentive staff are at the service of the newlyweds. However, keep in mind that organizing a wedding at VDNKh is a very popular service, so sometimes the territory of the registry office can be quite crowded.

Registration of marriages in the Kuskovo estate takes place in the White Hall of the Italian House. The estate of the Moscow gentlemen Sheremetev, presumably built in 1769-75, was intended for magnificent balls of the Moscow nobility, and the Italian House was intended for chamber receptions. The territory of “Kuskovo” is quite well-groomed and is especially beautiful in the summer, when it is surrounded by greenery and flowers.
Newlyweds are usually offered several packages of services, depending on who is organizing the ceremony - the estate itself or an agency. The latter can invite a string orchestra to play at the ceremony and decorate the celebration with themed accessories (a folder for the marriage certificate, a pen for painting, a stand for rings). Photo and video shooting from the moment the newlyweds enter the Italian House are included in the price, but for an additional fee you can invite your own photographer and/or videographer.
The optimal number of guests if the wedding takes place indoors is 20-25, and if outdoors, for example, in the garden of an Italian house, up to 30. The standard duration of the ceremony is 45 minutes. Guests can register for the estate free of charge, but for a walk they need to purchase entrance tickets for each person and permission for photo and video filming. An important limitation: you cannot photograph a wedding here with a tripod, but you can use professional equipment. Another taboo: champagne and breaking glasses “for good luck” ─ you cannot drink alcoholic beverages on the territory of the museum-estate.

In reality, the deviation from the planned date was insignificant: the registry offices opened only 3 weeks later. There are currently no restrictions on ceremonial registrations. But the rules that came into our lives along with restrictive measures remain in force.
Civil registry offices also have a special work schedule. Now, after each ceremony, the halls where the festive event took place are disinfected and ventilated. Other areas of the wedding palaces are also being sanitized.
Participants of one celebration can be present at the registry office at the same time; other couples and their guests wait in line in the open air. Before entering the registry office you will need to use hand sanitizer.
KOLOMENSKY
Organizing a wedding in the Kolomna registry office is an ideal solution for those who want to combine official and on-site registration. You will find yourself in a real palace surrounded by protected nature. The interiors are truly luxurious: stained glass windows, massive chandeliers, ancient paintings, painted ceilings and walls, carved furniture. It is possible to hold a wedding outdoors, with a tent in case of rain. The newlyweds can also order a banquet on the palace grounds, a limousine or a carriage with horses.

Opening of ceremonial registration of marriages in Moscow and Moscow region
Until June 23, when the solemn registration of marriage was again allowed, in Moscow and the Moscow region they continued to marry newlyweds only in special cases.
The setting of the event was very modest: the event took place without the participation of guests and a photographer, and Mendelssohn’s march did not sound.
At the end of June, registry offices began to register in a solemn atmosphere. After the partial lifting of the bans, the following restrictions continued to apply:
- It is allowed to invite no more than 7 guests to registration. In wedding palaces near Moscow, the number of those present can reach 10 participants.
- Invited friends and relatives within the registry office are required to wear personal protective equipment (gloves, masks).
- A social distance of at least one and a half meters must be maintained between ceremony participants, including institution employees.
From June 26, outdoor weddings began to resume in unusual locations, as was the case in the pre-coronavirus period. The same rules apply at all venues as at the Wedding Palace. The current list of places where you can solemnly register the creation of a family is posted on the official portal of the mayor and government of Moscow.
