Eustoma - the best ideas for a wedding bouquet

What kind of flower is eustoma or lisianthus?

Despite all the splendor, many people can’t even imagine what this amazing flower looks like. It looks a little like a rose, so people believe that eustoma is a type of royal flower. Actually this is not true. A large bud measuring about 6-7 centimeters used to be only blue.

Subsequently, breeders developed many shades, but all of them were soft, pastel colors, since this is what suits the flower itself most.

In the floristic world, the ideal combination is eustoma and rose. Thanks to its similarity, a harmonious bouquet is obtained. Eustomas give tenderness, but royal roses give grandeur.

DIY creation

Now that the theoretical part is known, you can move on to creativity.

Classic with lilac eustomas and callas

You will need:

  • lisianthus (including branches with buds);
  • callas;
  • ficus branches;
  • tape or floral wire;
  • satin ribbon;
  • glue gun;
  • sharp knife;
  • rhinestones, beads, etc. - optional.

Process:

  1. We cut the stems to a length of approximately 25 cm. Branches with buds should be longer - about 40 cm, and ficus, on the contrary, shorter - 20 cm.
  2. We take the eustoma, apply calla lilies to it, and secure it with tape or wire. We repeat the procedure until all the flowers are used.
  3. Add ficus branches. We fix it securely.
  4. We wrap it with a satin ribbon and secure its tip with glue. If desired, we decorate with beads, rhinestones, sequins, etc.
  5. Trim the stems. Ready!

Vegetative with gypsophila and greens

A bouquet collected using this technology looks as natural as possible. Therefore, it will fit perfectly into a rustic wedding.

You will need:

  • eustoma;
  • gypsophila;
  • freesia;
  • ficus and/or fern sprigs;
  • tape or floral wire;
  • burlap ribbon;
  • sharp knife or scissors.

Process:

  1. We collect the prepared plants into a bunch in random order. The only rule is that we place longer branches in the center of the composition, and shorter ones on the sides. Secure with wire or tape.
  2. Add ficus and fern branches. We fasten it again.
  3. We slightly trim the plant stems from below. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to achieve perfection down to the millimeter.
  4. We hide the tape/wire behind a burlap ribbon, tying it securely in a knot.

Cascading with alstroemerias and roses

You will need:

  • unopened eustoma flowers;
  • roses (preferably buds);
  • chrysanthemums;
  • alstroemeria;
  • bergras;
  • floral wire;
  • sharp knife or scissors;
  • satin ribbon;
  • silicone glue;
  • porta bouquet holder with floral sponge.

Process:

  1. You should start working by forming the tail. For this we use small flowers and buds. We wrap them with wire and stick them into the lower part of the portaquet holder so that they hang down. We place them at different levels in a chaotic order, gradually rising to the base.
  2. We insert sprigs of bergrass into the oasis. It will look unusual if you intertwine them with each other, and also string beads on them.
  3. We trim the stems of the remaining plants (to a length of approximately 7 cm). First we insert plants with large buds, fill the free space with smaller flowers.
  4. We wrap the handle of the bouquet holder with ribbon and secure its end with glue.

The peculiarity of an ideal and harmonious bouquet of these two flowers will lie in the color itself. It is important to choose the shades correctly and harmoniously. Roses perform a brighter and richer function, so their color should be pink, violet, blue, purple. In general, consider only rich tones.

But eustoma, on the contrary, in this case should be gentle and laconic. Pastel colors will look great.

The ideal combination is:

  • white eustomas and red roses;
  • cream eustomas and purple roses;
  • lilac eustomas and white roses.

Peculiarities

Different peoples attributed their own meanings to lisianthus, so a lot of them have accumulated. In some cultures it is considered a symbol of peace, prosperity and long life, in others it represents gratitude, joy and sincere feelings. In addition, eustoma is considered a symbol of charisma, charm, admiration, kindness towards oneself and others. In Ancient Greece, this flower was considered a love amulet.

Since lisianthus represents youth, it is suitable for young brides who are used to enjoying every new day. Translated from Greek, this name means “beautiful lips,” so the flower will be an ideal solution for eloquent girls who know how to find an approach to any person.

How to choose a bouquet

To choose the right wedding accessory, you need to study the features of two flowers in advance.

Follow our rules and you can buy a quality product:

  1. Don't take heavy bouquets. Choose options that you can easily carry all day. A wedding accessory should be small in size and, accordingly, weight. It would be completely unacceptable to look around at an armful of flowers.
  2. Ask your florist to choose flowers that do not have strong scents. Eustoma, unlike roses, has a muted scent. The royal flower, depending on the variety, can have a pronounced aroma. Try to avoid such options.
  3. For a more harmonious event, you can use flowers not only in a bouquet, but also as a designer decoration for the room and as an accessory for the bride’s head. Eustoma will look great on tables or woven into a girl’s wreath. As a result, you will be able to create a harmonious wedding.
  4. Don't be afraid to add additional flowers to your bouquet. But it is better that there are no more than 3-4 of them. Be sure to stick to the color palette.

Options for combining eustoma and roses with other flowers

You can choose a mono bouquet, which will look great with the right color design. In this case we are talking about contrasting colors. You shouldn’t make the entire wedding accessory the same color, as everything will simply merge together.

As a result, it will not be clear how many types of plants you used. For a more original wedding accessory, you can mix several varieties of plants.

Freesia

Will help complement the airy image. The result is not an ordinary bouquet, but a real dream. Delicate tones, light texture, lush buds - only this combination can give birth to such splendor. In addition, freesia is ideal as a wreath on the head or a boutonniere for the groom.

Alstroemeria

Exotic eustoma and royal rose require only equally rare and creative plants to be combined. Alstroemeria can easily be considered one of these. It has soft lines and clear shapes. In combination it looks simply great. especially successful if it is diluted with a satin ribbon or beads that shimmer in the sun.

Lisianthus

Lisianthus adds variety to any bridal bouquet. A tropical plant in blue and white colors can complement a bride's wedding bouquet. This is an ideal composition that is suitable for a magnificent dress and gala evenings, as well as for a relaxed family dinner and a floor-length evening dress.

Any themed weddings are suitable for a floral arrangement of lisianthus.

Winning combinations

The Irish rose is self-sufficient. Mono compositions look great. At the same time, florists advise using plain specimens. However, in combination with other colors it looks luxurious.

The union of eustoma and stem rose is considered a classic. Such an alliance is the personification of love and passion. In addition, it foretells happiness in future family life.

  3. Lilac eustomas and white freesias - with the help of small green buds you can add naturalness and lightness to the entire floral arrangement. The combination is suitable for magnificent celebrations. It will look especially good on brides in ball gowns.

Which bouquets can be created with lisianthus?

The delicate, bell-shaped flower looks original in compositions of the following forms:

  • Bibermeyer. Rather a classic version with an oval/round shape. Here the master can combine several shades of eustoma, conveying the feelings of the donor.
  • Spherical. A unique, lush, beautiful bouquet, which is often given to young girls.
  • Cascade. The most original version of the composition. Eustoma here is laid in the form of a plant waterfall. Most often, the master florist in this case combines eustoma in a cascading bouquet with lilies and roses.

In addition, lisianthus goes equally well with irises, daisies, callas, peonies, and freesia. It is difficult to find a more “friendly” plant in this regard in the world of flora. It is better to pack delicate compositions with roses in natural types of paper or textiles.

Important: despite the fact that eustomas are sometimes called roses, they do not have thorns. Therefore, girls, women, girls are especially disposed to such a flower.
