Denis Eduardovich Shvedov is a native Muscovite. He was born in November 1981. A few years later, a second child appeared in the Shvedov family - a daughter. Soon after her birth, her parents divorced. Mom had to work 2 shifts to feed the children. Denis spent most of his time with his peers in Moscow courtyards. He was not a very good student, but excelled in sports, choosing rugby for himself.
Denis Shvedov never dreamed of being an artist either in childhood or in his youth. After graduating from school, he entered a tourism university, but studied without desire. One day, Shvedov, listening to a friend’s story about studying at a theater university, caught himself thinking that what he heard interested him very much. A friend, noticing this, introduced Denis to his father, an actor. He, having carefully looked at his son’s age and talked with him, advised him to enter a theater university.
The guy made up his mind and took the certificate to the Shchepkinsky School - he simply did not know any other theater institute. At the first audition, Shvedov heard an unexpected verdict from the commission: he was accepted. At first he didn't even believe it. Along with him were children who had studied in theater studios for several years and attended tutors.
Shvedov took the course of Nikolai Afonin. The student studied enthusiastically, catching up on gaps in knowledge and reading a lot of literature. After graduating from theater school, Shvedov was accepted into the Russian Academic Youth Theater, where he still serves.
Creative path
Denis Shvedov was born in 1981 in Moscow. He spent his entire childhood in the yard, did not do well at school, but from the age of 14 he became seriously interested in rugby. After an injury he was forced to leave the sport.
Having witnessed a chance conversation, after graduating from school Denis enters the Shchepkinsky School. After receiving his diploma, the aspiring actor was enrolled in the troupe of the Russian Academic Youth Theater, where he continues to work to this day (on the same theater stage with his wife).

The actor’s debut film work was a small role in the film “The Weaknesses of a Strong Woman.” After this episode, Shvedov starred in a number of films, but still in minor roles. 2008 was a happy year for Denis in terms of film work. The actor was invited to play the main role in the film “A Good Friend for Everyone.” But this tape did not become widely known.
Recognition came to Denis Shvedov in 2011 after appearing in the thriller “To Live” directed by Yuri Bykov. This work brought the artist his first award: he became a laureate of the international festival “KinoRurik” in Sweden. But the artist attracted the most attention to himself after appearing in the film “The Elusive” that same year. In the plot of the film, Denis plays the villain - oligarch Sergei Polyansky, who, having hit a girl with his car, abandons her and runs away from the scene of the crime.
The actor starred in the film “Eternal Cold”, where he played together with Ivan Shakhnazarov, Ravshana Kurkova and Lyubov Tolkalina. This is a fantastic project about a team of hockey players. Athletes are forced to fight evil ancient spirits who were accidentally awakened.

In 2021, the screening of the crime series “Raid”, an adaptation of the French project of the same name, began. According to the plot, four employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will have to solve a crime that resulted in the death of their friend and colleague. The main roles went to Vladimir Mashkov, Denis Shvedov, Alexander Pal and Lukerya Ilyashenko. In the film “The Life Ahead” the artist appeared together with Artur Smolyaninov.
One of the artist’s last theatrical works was the entrepreneurial performance “Cosmetics of the Enemy,” in which Shvedov plays together with Kirill Kyaro. Denis, as he admitted, took a long time to get to the enterprise. He is mainly busy at the RAMT theater stage and in film projects.
In 2021, the drama “The Former” was shown, where Denis again appeared in the leading role. His partner in the shot was Lyubov Aksenova. The film is about a patient at a rehabilitation center and a psychologist, between whom a romance begins. The series received high viewing ratings, which is why the creators released a sequel next year.

The main premiere of 2021 for Shvedov was the release of the social drama “Plant”. This is another collaboration between Denis and director Yuri Bykov. The film tells about the kidnapping of the director of an enterprise by his workers. Denis reincarnated as the organizer of this operation. The owner of the plant was played by Andrei Smolyakov.
The leading actor and the director of the film visited the studio of the Evening Urgant program, where they briefly outlined the essence of the project. According to the plot, Shvedov’s hero in his youth visited a hot spot, where he was injured - he lost his left eye. In order to get a feel for the character, the actor went out on the city streets in makeup for several days.
In 2021, Shvedov worked on a series about the development of plastic surgery in the Soviet Union. We are talking about the painting “Doctor Preobrazhensky”. Shvedov played the main character Lev Preobrazhensky in it. Denis’s partners were Maria Andreeva, Agniya Ditkovskite, Yulia Aug and others. The premiere took place in November 2020.
