Vitaliy Klitschko is a famous Ukrainian athlete, one of the best heavyweight boxers in the world. Of the 47 battles he fought, he was defeated in only two. Having completed his sports career, Vitaly became a prominent political figure in Ukraine - he took an active part in the Maidan, and has served as mayor of Kyiv since 2014. Tall (Vitaliy Klitschko's height is 2 meters (201 cm), weight - 112 kg), strong, long-armed brothers Vitaliy and Vladimir Klitschko, thanks to constant training, good learning ability, and work ability, won all possible titles in boxing and kickboxing. Vitaly took up amateur boxing as a soldier in the Soviet Army and Ukraine in the early nineties. In total, he had 95 fights in the amateur boxing ring, of which he won 80.
Since 1996, he has been engaged in professional boxing in the heavyweight category. According to Wikipedia, Vitali Klitschko is:

The previous year, Corrie, who has a powerful punch, managed to defeat his younger brother Vladimir. Vitaly also had a hard time, but in a difficult, long fight, the South African was defeated by technical knockout. Vitaly supported the reputation of the glorious boxing family.
The fight with the famous brawler Dereck Chisora turned out to be difficult for Vitaly. After a successful period in kickboxing, where the athlete won 34 victories out of 35 fights, Vitali Klitschko switched to professional boxing. He has been active in this area since 1995. Then the athlete became the world boxing champion among military personnel, winning a large number of fights. In November 1996, after a successful career in amateur boxing (95 wins, 80 knockouts, 15 losses), he made his debut in the professional ring at the same time as his brother Vladimir.
In 1999, he was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the first world heavyweight champion to win 26 fights by knockout. Thus, Klitschko broke the previous record, held by the famous Mike Tyson.
In the same 1999, Vitali Klitschko won the world champion title according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), but lost it the following year to the American Chris Byrd. In a duel with him, Vitaly suffered the first defeat in his professional career.

On June 21, 2003, a fight took place with Briton Lennox Lewis in Los Angeles. The American media called this fight a “battle of gladiators.” The results of the meeting are still considered controversial, and the British victory is called unfair.

In Ukraine, the Klitschko brothers own beer and several residential and commercial real estate properties in Kyiv and the region. There is also a consulting company, Klitschko Management Group (KMG), which not only provides consulting services in the field of sports, but also helps foreign businessmen, including pharmaceutical ones, enter the Ukrainian market. The brothers also own the company Klitschko Ventures GmbH, which promotes their brand and brings each of them about three million euros a year.
Political career, views, merits, reforms
The enormous popularity among the residents of Ukraine prompted Vitaly to take active social and political activities after actually actively participating in boxing matches. Living and training for a long time in Germany, Austria, communicating with famous people in America, he saw the significant superiority of the European way of life, the actual operation of legal norms, and became the most active promoter of European values in Ukrainian society. Vitaly gained a huge number of supporters in his homeland, who understand that he does not need to engage in activities typical of Ukrainian politicians - corruption and enrichment for budget funds.
In December 2012, Vitaly was elected as a deputy of the Ukrainian parliament of the seventh convocation, leader of the faction and party UDAR.
Since June 2014, the famous athlete has been the mayor of Kyiv.

The Kiev mayor considers his urgent tasks to be ensuring the safety of the lives of citizens, attracting new investments, and rational use of the capital's budget.
Recently, Vitaly has not shown much activity in all-Ukrainian political processes and the struggle for power in parliament, and has no presidential ambitions in the next presidential elections.

Born July 19, 1971 in the village of Belovodskoye, Kyrgyz SSR) is a Ukrainian heavyweight boxer, kickboxer, politician, and public figure.
- Graduated from the Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Pedagogical Institute (1995), postgraduate studies at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.
- Six-time world champion title holder according to various kickboxing organizations (four times among professionals and two times among amateurs), three-time champion of Ukraine in amateur boxing, world champion in professional boxing according to WBO (1999-2000) and WBC (2004- 2005, 2008—present). In November 2005 he announced his retirement from his sports career, and in 2007 he announced its resumption. In 2008, he returned the WBC champion title.
- He is involved in politics, heads the party “UDAR (Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reforms) of Vitaliy Klitschko” and the faction of the “Vitaliy Klitschko Bloc” in the Kyiv City Council.

The first was done by a boxer from the USA, Chris Byrd. Initially, the fight with him was not supposed to take place; he came on as a substitute. Bird had only 9 days to prepare. No one could even imagine that he would emerge victorious. Chris was able to injure Klitschko in the early rounds. Vitaly overcame the pain for a long time and tried to win as quickly as possible, but he failed. Before the 10th round, Klitschko refused to continue.
For six months, Vitaly had to recover from the injury. To consolidate his position, after that he had to enter the ring with Timo Hoffman, who at that time did not have a single defeat.
