Ekaterina Vilkova: biography
Vilkova loves to be in the spotlight; as a child, she always had company, often hooligan ones. Catherine can appear both as a ringleader and as a sweet and soft girl. The ability to transform helped her become one of the most sought-after representatives of her profession.
Childhood and youth, family, education
Ekaterina was born on July 11, 1984 in an ordinary Soviet family
Vilkova’s father was an electrician, her mother was a watchman. The family did not live well. Parents rented rooms in a communal apartment in Nizhny Novgorod. The actress has an older brother, Mikhail.
According to Catherine’s recollections, she never once felt resentful, although her parents could not afford much. The girl sometimes had to carry her brother's clothes. As a child, the actress did not have the opportunity to play with dolls or choose beautiful dresses for them.
Vilkova constantly dreamed of a better life, unlike her parents, who did not strive for something more. Catherine supported her dreams with actions - she diligently studied physics and mathematics at school, this was the advice her father gave her. Additionally, the actress did gymnastics at a sports school and received the title of candidate master of sports. Father and mother saw Catherine in a serious profession, but fate decreed otherwise.
While in eighth grade, Vilkova attended the Sputnik summer camp, where she began attending the drama club. The teachers assured the actress that she had abilities and convinced her to realize herself in this field. After graduating from school, Ekaterina entered the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School named after. E. Evstigneeva to the acting department. The actress took the course of Vasily Bogomazov.
Vilkova's debut role was the image of Ophelia from Hamlet.
Catherine did not want to stay in the provinces. In 2003, having received her diploma, she went to apply to all the famous theater universities in the capital. Soon the actress found out that she was enrolling for the second year at the Moscow Art Theater School. Having passed the entrance exams, Ekaterina was enrolled in the team of Igor Zolotovitsky and Sergei Zemtsov.
Vilkova began acting in films during her student years.
The actress’s graduation project was her role in the production “Don’t Part With Your Loved Ones,” where she played the role of Katya Lavrova. The performance received positive reviews, but Ekaterina did not plan to remain working in the theater. By the time she received her diploma in 2006, she had already begun to form her filmography.
Filming in films and TV series
Vilkova felt the rise of fame after she was entrusted with the main role in the film “You Can’t Catch Up with Us.” The film received positive reviews, and Ekaterina’s good acting was noted.
The actress was noticed and began to be invited to new projects. She got the main roles in the drama “Outpost Zilina” and in the action film “Panther”. In partnership with Larisa Udovichenko, Ekaterina can be seen in the drama “Dumplings with Cherries.”
There is no specific role for Vilkova; the actress is interested in playing diverse personalities
Catherine proved that she is capable of much. The image of Betsy from Hipsters and Baubles from Fathers and Sons suited her. The series “Palm Sunday” became a serious project. In the fantastic action film Black Lightning, the actress got the leading role, for which she was nominated for the MTV Avards and Golden Eagle awards.
Ekaterina starred in a film dedicated to the biography of the famous Sergei Mavrodi
The actress participated in the comedies “Female” and “Exchange Wedding”. In the last film, Vilkova’s performance was so convincing that she began to be credited with having an affair with her partner on the set.
Subsequently, the actress’s filmography was replenished with the following projects: “Furtseva”, Supermanager, or the Hoe of Fate”, “Hotel “Russia””, “Kill Stalin”, “Hotel “Eleon””, “Grand”.
Over the years of her career, Vilkova has worked with many talented colleagues: Pavel Trubiner, Andrei Rudensky, Evgeniy Miller
The image of Catherine in the detective story “The Cipher”, which tells about women who worked together during the war years, became memorable. Her filmography also includes the action movie “Black Sea.” There Vilkova reincarnated as captain of the third rank Elena Soley.
Ekaterina Vilkova and Ilya Lyubimov: “We really have an ideal relationship”
Today actress Ekaterina Vilkova turns 35 years old. They met Ilya Lyubimov 8 years ago and almost immediately realized that they loved each other - but they spent a whole year testing their feelings. Let's remember this touching love story.

First meeting
We immediately had a very strong interest and attraction to each other. But Ilya and I are both adults, we’ve been through a lot, we’ve been burned more than once. Therefore, of course, at first it was difficult to believe that this was the real thing.
The star of the series “Don’t Be Born Beautiful” Ilya Lyubimov, at the age of 28, suddenly realized that he was destroying his own life with addictions, managed to get out of addictions and took the path of faith. Ekaterina Vilkova, a talented actress who began her theatrical career with the role of Ophelia, tried to forget her unsuccessful romance with the writer and restaurateur Dmitry Lipskerov. The latter colorfully described the details of their intimate life in his book “Bullfinch Meat” - the actress had a hard time with such publicity.

Perhaps if they had met a little earlier, this love story would not have happened at all. One winter, Ilya agreed to give his friends Anna Tsukanova and Anna Slyu a ride to a photo shoot. Their mutual friend was supposed to photograph Katya Vilkova. “Then the whole group of us traveled around Moscow in search of a suitable character. Then Katya was put on make-up for a long time in the car, smeared with whitewash, then they gave her a dead pig in her arms. She stood in the snow against the backdrop of creepy buildings, clutching a piglet to her chest, and portrayed a cutesy, decadent diva. And I looked at her and thought: Lord, this is not what you, girl, are doing...” the actor recalls.
Abstinence
Abstinence has helped our relationship. Strengthened them. It helped to look at each other without a touch of any passion.
Ilya did not forget about this meeting, but did not make any attempts to find Vilkova. But Katya was much more impressed: “Ilya constantly walked with us and watched what we were doing. Although I could sit in a warm car and wait. I remember he gave me his hand when I needed to get out of a snowdrift. At some point, I looked into his gloomy eyes and realized that he knew everything about me..."

She not only remembered the random assistant, but also found out that Ilya, in addition to the theater, works as a sexton in the temple. The girl herself went to see him for Easter and, as if by chance, caught his eye. As Ilya recalls: “And from that Easter meeting, it was as if we were intoxicated, dragged towards each other, united and, in the end, sent down the aisle. She didn’t flirt with me, I didn’t conquer her, and if we had started to be guided by some common sense, nothing would have worked out for us.”
But the standard acting romance did not suit them. Ilya said that fleeting hobbies are not for him, he is looking for a companion for life, but they will not be able to become spouses right away. Lyubimov’s confessor advised not to rush, but to take a closer look at each other. A lot of time was allocated for this - a whole year. And all this time the couple had to refrain from intimacy. Over the course of a year, the lovers went on dates, traveled and just walked holding hands.
Actor's wedding
I so wanted a beautiful celebration - but after some time there came a moment when I no longer cared how it would all be or what color the napkins should be.
Their feelings withstood all tests. The wedding took place on May 1, 2011, and it was a rare sight in our time - a real actor's wedding. With skits, jokes from colleagues, played in the premises of the Pyotr Fomenko Workshop theater, where, in fact, Ilya works. The guests were entertained not only by the actors themselves, but also by the artists of the Romen Theater. Even the bride was traditionally late for the wedding.
But there were also modern trends. Late in the evening, right from the balcony of the theater, the couple launched a paper lantern into the sky, and on their first wedding morning they went to a suite at the Ritz-Carlton hotel. In addition, the actors did not fail to earn a little money from the celebration by selling the exclusive right to report to Ok! magazine.

But the main thing was something else: although Katya said in an interview that she had long been tired of the pre-wedding fuss, it was clearly visible in the photos and videos that the bride was happy: “It’s not our merit that we met and chose each other, we just decided upstairs. For some reason I believe this man, and, surprisingly, I believed him very quickly. But I never dreamed that I would marry a person in the acting profession.”
Traditional values
Of course, I won’t hide that we really have an ideal relationship.
The celebration died down, the honeymoon passed in Nice and the couple began to create a very traditional, patriarchal family. Vilkova always publicly gives leadership in the family to her husband and agrees to the role of a follower: “Yes, anything, but only together. I feel more psychologically comfortable when Ilya is at home. We talk to each other a lot, a lot."
Katya's only complaint is about the different pace of life. With her, everything happens much more dynamically, while Ilya prefers a more measured course of events. But the actress always immediately notices that her husband is much calmer and more restrained: “During childbirth, the husband calmly stood nearby - they say, the wife is giving birth, why panic? And then, just as calmly, he cut the umbilical cord.” These qualities of his greatly help Katya herself cope with many everyday and professional troubles and make her stronger.

The newlyweds did not hide the fact that they wanted children. They delighted the public with the news of pregnancy a month after the wedding. In February 2012, Pavel's girl was born. They didn’t delay with the second child either - in April 2014 they already celebrated the birth of their son Peter. Back in 2011, before it became known about their relationship with Ilya, Katya admitted: “I believe the meaning of life is in those who run around you, ask to be held in your arms, look into your eyes, wait for you at home and call you mom... »

According to rumors, when choosing names, parents were guided by the calendar. Ilya helps the actress a lot, takes on as many household chores as possible so that she can relax and spend more time with the children.
