Tatyana Evgenievna Mikhalkova is a Russian public figure, in the past she was a famous fashion model and fashion model, the favorite model of Vyacheslav Zaitsev. Today Tatyana Mikhalkova is also known as a philanthropist. In 1997, she created and headed the Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation.
Tatyana was born in the German city of Saalfeld. Moreover, as the girl’s mother later told her, she was born thanks to the nuns, since there was simply no maternity hospital in this small town. Soon Tanya’s father, a military man, was transferred to serve in Russia, and the family moved to Voronezh. It was there that Mikhalkova spent her childhood and youth, who then still bore her maiden name Solovyov.
She studied at a special school with in-depth study of English and was very passionate about foreign languages. Even as a teenager, I read the original works of Shakespeare, Galsworthy, Faulkner and other classics of English-language literature. After receiving the certificate, the girl went to the capital and entered the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Languages named after Maurice Thorez, since at that time she dreamed of becoming a foreign language teacher.
After university, Tatyana Solovyova (Mikhalkova) worked for some time as a guide-translator at Intourist, but a year later she left because she lacked the creative component in this profession, and simply retelling other people’s thoughts was not interesting. She tried to become a teacher by applying for a position at the Aviation Institute, but was rejected. And they invited a young woman into a completely different field.

Tatyana Evgenievna Mikhalkova, the wife of the famous director Nikita Sergeevich, is a recognized public figure. She heads the Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation, the purpose of which was to support national fashion designers. She is engaged in the preparation and implementation of a large-scale project “New Russia - XXI Century”, providing budding fashion designers with internship opportunities in legendary foreign high fashion houses - Yves Saint Laurent, Lekoane-Eman, as well as in domestic enterprises working in the field fashion industry. She has repeatedly emphasized that fashion is her profession and life.
Journalism and the world of fashion
Tatyana Solovyova saw an announcement about a casting in the House of Models, went there, managed to demonstrate herself at her best and became a fashion model, although she did not have podium height by modern standards (Tatiana’s height is 172 cm). In this establishment, Tatyana met the most famous fashion designers of the country, and over time became the favorite model of Vyacheslav Zaitsev. Thanks to the patronage of the legendary couturier, she traveled to shows abroad, worked under contract in Italy, and collaborated with the Estonian fashion magazine Silhouette.
In 1974, Tatyana played in a feature film for the first and last time. The girl appeared in the famous military drama based on the story by Eduard Volodarsky and Nikita Mikhalkov “Red Gold” “One among strangers, a stranger among one’s own.” In this film, Tatyana played the role of a girl from Ataman Brylov’s dreams, so small that the name of the aspiring actress was not included in the credits. This is where Tatyana Mikhalkova’s acting biography ended, and the girl returned to the modeling business again.
Having finished her career on the podium, Tatyana Mikhalkova began translating children's literature into Russian, and also fulfilled an old dream - she taught English at the Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry named after S. G. Stroganov.
In 1997, Tatyana Mikhalkova created and herself headed the Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation. This organization aims to support young domestic artists, designers and Russian fashion manufacturers. Personal life
Tatyana Solovyova got married for the first time in her youth. Tatyana’s first husband was a candidate of pedagogical sciences, a specialist in sports psychology, Alexander Sergeevich Shigaev. Journalists know little about this marriage, but the young family quickly broke up.
When Tatyana worked as a fashion model for Vyacheslav Zaitsev, the girl met an already famous actor, but at that time still a novice director Nikita Mikhalkov. Their meeting took place in a cinema, at the premiere of Rolan Bykov’s film “Telegram”. By the way, the future husband proposed marriage just a few months later. The director gathered a large crowd of acquaintances at the House of Cinema and confessed his feelings to the girl in front of everyone. Tatyana was very embarrassed, but agreed to get married.
They got married in 1973, and had a wedding in Grozny, during a break between filming the film “One Among Strangers, A Stranger Among Friends.” Soon the couple had a daughter, Anna, a year later a son, Artem, and 11 years later a second girl, Nadezhda. All the Mikhalkov children are directly related to cinema.
Documentary films about the director's life show that family life fell entirely on Tatiana's shoulders. At the beginning of the relationship, Nikita Mikhalkov told his chosen one: “You should stay at home.” Tatyana agreed with this position, but she was unable to completely convert the former model into a housewife. Wedding and marriage
Nikita soon realized that it was Tatyana he had been looking for all his life. They had been dating for several months when he proposed. This happened in front of a large crowd of people, and Tatyana was very embarrassed by what was said, but still agreed, but it was not possible to have a wedding right away.
Mikhalkov was sent to serve, and not just anywhere, but in Kamchatka. And yet, distance and time of service did not in the least reduce their mutual attraction. As soon as he served, Nikita rushed to the capital to his beloved. And then another disappointment awaited him - Tatyana’s family changed their address. I had to work hard to find out a new one.
The wedding itself, oddly enough, did not take place in the capital’s scenery. Mikhalkov went to shoot his first film in Grozny, and it was there that the solemn event took place. The year was 1973.
Only a year passed, and the couple had their first daughter. She was given the name Anna. After giving birth, Tatyana could no longer and did not pursue a career; moreover, Mikhalkov insisted that his wife should belong entirely to the family and children.
Tatyana refused to argue; she liked to devote herself to her family. So already in 1975, the Mikhalkovs had another child - son Artem. After a very long period of time - twelve years - another daughter was born, who was named Nadezhda. Today, both girls are engaged in acting careers, and Artem, like a real son of his father, devoted himself to directing.

On November 14, 2021, Tatyana Mikhalkova received the Lev Nikolaev Gold Medal, established with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and television. Tatyana Evgenievna received the award as the president of the Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation for her significant contribution to education and popularization of cultural achievements.
In 2021, Tatyana Mikhalkova received the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.

When her son and daughters grew up, Tatyana Evgenievna had the opportunity to express herself in society and realize her creative abilities in the world of fashion that interested her. In 1997, to promote national traditions in clothing, she created the Russian Silhouette Foundation. Under her leadership, fashion shows of many domestic fashion designers were organized. In 1999, Tatyana Evgenievna founded the All-Russian competition of young clothing designers - on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin, held in this regard under the title “I remember a wonderful moment...”.
Every year the number of participants and the geography of the competition, as well as the quality of the submitted works, grew. The list of contenders for victory has always been diverse - about a thousand fashion designers from Moscow, Hanoi, London, Sochi, Kharkov, and Nalchik demonstrated their collections here. The final of the competition, through the efforts of Tatyana Evgenievna, takes place in Gostiny Dvor in Moscow. Over the years of its existence, “Russian Silhouette” has become a real source of personnel for the Russian fashion industry. The competition diploma, which is invariably presented by the chairman of the jury Mikhalkova, allows the winners to receive invitations to all kinds of exhibitions and fashion shows, to find worthy use of their abilities and good work. Among the diploma recipients who are successfully developing their own clothing lines are the artist-fashion designer Tasha Strogaya, the idol of Russian IT-girls Alexander Terekhov, the owner of the TAKSAgroup design studio Natalya Tarasevich and many others.
Tatyana Evgenievna travels a lot around Russia and around the world, creating a number of projects on television. Among them are programs about fashion “Bazaar” on TVC, “You are a supermodel” on STS. In 2001, the Russian Academy of Arts awarded her the title of its honorary member for her significant contribution to the development of Russian design. Mikhalkova is an academician of NAIM, awarded many orders and memorials, including the medal of the International UNESCO Foundation.
