Tsyganova was the long-awaited first-born in the family. After the birth of her daughter, Vika’s mother, Lyudmila, devoted all her time to household chores. Dad, Yuri, was the main breadwinner in the Zhukov family - he was a naval officer, served in the Amur Flotilla.
It cannot be said that the relatives of the future chanson star were people associated with creativity. Moreover, each of them could boast of the ability to play musical instruments: dad played the guitar and piano, grandfather played the button accordion and accordion, grandmother, a Don Cossack, masterfully handled the balalaika and spoons, and mom simply sang well.
Of course, the musical abilities of her relatives were inherited by Victoria. Since childhood, in her father's house, the girl, gathering all her relatives, showed them musical numbers and even entire performances. And even then it was possible to say that in the future this girl would definitely connect her life with the world of music.
First steps on stage
At the beginning of 1989, Tsyganova radically changed the style of her work and began to seriously study vocals. Vika first appeared on stage as a singer of the group “More”. Performing in this group, she records her songs in two albums. During 1988-1989, the group “More” performed its concerts throughout Russia with great success. Having believed in her own strengths and gained some vocal experience, Vika decides to start her solo career. In April 1990, she left the group and began working with the poet Tsyganov.
Their joint work had results and a year later the singer’s solo album was released. Vika begins to write her own songs and regularly performs with them at various concerts across the country. The girl constantly worked on her image and song performance technique.
In April 1992, she released a new album, in which songs dedicated to love for Russia were recorded. During 1994 - 1996, Vika regularly released one solo album per year. With music through life
The constant search for her place in the profession led Victoria to singing. Moreover, her voice was developed while still studying at the institute. In parallel with mastering her main profession, the girl studied at the department of opera singing.
In 1988, a blonde from Khabarovsk became a member of the musical group “More”. The artist’s biography instantly acquired new colors. The vocalist plunged into a new hobby, forgetting about the theater. The group toured the country a lot, and in two years the group released two song albums. Spectators throughout the Soviet Union warmly and cordially received the young artists.

In 1990, the singer decided to leave the group and pursue solo creativity. By this time, Victoria was no longer the last person in show business, so songs for the singer were written not by people on the street, but by professionals: composer Yuri Pryalkin and songwriter Vadim Tsyganov. Subsequently, these men will play a huge role not only in the creative, but also in the personal life of the vocalist.

Vadim Gypsy biography personal life
Vika and Vadim Tsyganov have been together for 30 years. For a show business couple, such a long marriage is very rare. The Tsyganovs have no children. And this always gave rise to a lot of rumors. Information about the upcoming adoption appeared in the press several times, but it never happened.
Why did the singer never decide to become a mother? How should she deal with the reproaches that she would not have been able to build a career without her husband? And why did her marriage almost collapse one day? Tsyganova spoke about this in an interview with the host of the “Oh, Mommies” program, Angelica Raj, on the MIR TV channel.
— Your rapid rise to the musical Olympus is inextricably linked with the name of Vadim Tsyganov. Back in 1988, with the light hand of Vadim, you became the lead singer of the More group. And then they married him. There is an opinion that without Vadim it is unlikely that the name “Vika Tsyganova” would have appeared on the Russian stage. Do you agree?
V. Ts.: No. That's funny. We both made each other. How is a child born without a father or mother? Creativity is our joint product. This is about discovering each other first and foremost. And it is not known where Vadim Borisovich would have disappeared, in what kind of poetic bohemia he would have died, inventing poems and washing them down with port wine. So of course we made each other. Maybe people say that because of some limited imagination.
- But you are not offended by this opinion?
V. Ts.: No, absolutely. I know the truth. So our union was destined from above from somewhere.
— Vadim was once the director of the “Tender May” group. The founder of the group, Andrei Razin, is a well-known great adventurer. His methods were adopted by many in Russian show business. That's what his active use of phonograms at concerts is worth. Tell me, did Vadim Borisovich take anything from Andrei Razin’s luggage for your promotion?
V. Ts.: Let's start with the fact that Vadim Krivorotov - that was the name of Andrei Razin - he, of course, is still an adventurer. And I came up with a lot of things. But Vadim also contributed to this. It was he who suggested to Andrey to create the “Studio” group. Vadim had a very good influence on Razin, he always suppressed him a little.
I actually worked as the opening act for “Tender May” and I think that it was a very big adventurism, because millions of girls “were hungry” for this group, and then Vika Tsyganova came out and sang songs to them. But nowhere have I been pelted with tomatoes, but this happened with “Tender May.”
— You have been married to Vadim Tsyganov for almost 30 years. This number is impressive, really. Reveal the secret of such a long marriage.
V. Ts.: Well, actually it’s not much. Because Vadim Borisovich, my Vadyusha, he is a unique person, interesting and real. All the men in my life - and I had a brother, father, grandfather - he seemed to absorb into himself. That's why I'm very interested in him. And I try to be interesting for him. In our relationship there are a lot of sparks, clarifications, there are not battle scenes, but something like that.
At the same time, Vadim is a very subtle person, he is deep, he is a poet. And when he reads his poems with a friend, they both cry until the morning.
And when you look at it, you realize that this cannot be played, this cannot be done, there is no audience there. It costs a lot. You always want to hug him and console him. He is an absolute child in these moments.
— According to rumors, you have repeatedly offered to your husband to adopt a child from an orphanage. Is it true?
V. Ts.: Well, it was like that. Was. They write to me about this on Instagram, and they often invite me to shows along with unhappy and disadvantaged people. But, you know, everyone has their own path. Maybe I don't have enough love. There are a lot of people who take children and then throw them away. Because this man, he is not mature. And if we don’t have children in our marriage, then this is destined from above.
I have a lot of godchildren. And there was even a story when I fell in love with a boy and, having returned from a tour, began calling this orphanage. I worked everything out intuitively. This boy said: “I love poetry, someday I will write them to my mommy.” And I’m just living with a poet, I see this boy, you know, who is somewhat similar to Vadim. Handsome, with such an imprint of intelligence on his face. And then I think: “So, what if he has a brother or sister? Then you'll have to take two. What if he is seriously ill? What if there is some kind of disease?
And then I come home a couple of days later, call this same orphanage and find out that he was adopted just a day ago. I'm sobbing, I'm shaking. And then they tell me: “You know, this boy has a brother. And he has cerebral palsy.” And the boy himself also has asthma. And I understand that everything I intuitively felt was true.
And in general, my husband is like ten children to me.
— This year marks a significant date in your creative biography—30 years on stage. I know that preparations for the anniversary concert, which will take place in Moscow, are in full swing. Will there be any surprises for fans during this concert?
V. Ts.: I wouldn’t want to reveal everything a little, just tell it right away. On November 2 there will be my concert, a big concert. I am very glad that this will not be a standard concert, like a show program. Rather, it will be a musical performance, the main task and idea of which is not to surprise. I want to touch the soul, I want to look inside myself. I don’t want to be just a woman on a horse, I’ve already proven that to everyone. I just want to be gentle, sensitive, vulnerable and slightly reveal the other Vika Tsyganova. With a slight shadow of light sadness.
