Oksana Pushkina in childhood
At the age of 10, the girl became seriously interested in rhythmic gymnastics and after 4 years she managed to receive the title of master of sports. At the same time, Pushkina made progress in music. She played the piano excellently, and her teachers predicted a brilliant career for her.

However, after graduating from school, Oksana Pushkina surprised everyone. In 1981, she entered Leningrad University, choosing the faculty of journalism.

early years

The future TV presenter was born into the family of journalist Svetlana Andreevna and athletics coach Viktor Vasilyevich.

As a child, she worked hard at sports - rhythmic gymnastics, and even graduated from the Youth Sports School. The girl’s other interest was music; she went to children’s music school. After school, the girl entered the journalism department of Leningrad State University, from which she graduated in 1985.

During her student years, she worked part-time as a cleaner in a dairy kitchen. To wash the refrigerators, she had to get up at six in the morning, and after work she hurried to the first pair. At the end of the school day, the student usually went to the disco.

Journalism and television

Oksana experienced her first serious life blow in her early youth, when the girl was studying at a university. Her parents divorced. A very difficult period began for her, which Oksana Viktorovna later called in an interview “a time taken out.” Each of the parents tried to win their daughter over to their side, presenting each other in the most unsightly light.

Added to all this were financial problems. The girl got a job as a cleaner in a dairy kitchen, where she came every day at 6 am. She washed refrigerators with a fire hose and then ran to the fumes. She studied Pushkin willingly and never missed classes.

Pushkina’s creative biography began in her final years at university. One evening, the girl saw a documentary film, the title of which, “Children of Discord,” attracted Oksana for well-known reasons.

After crying all night and remembering all her sorrows, the girl decided to write a letter to the editor. The answer came soon. Presenter Vladislav Konovalov immediately realized that the letter was written not just by a smart girl, but also by a journalist. Having met and talked for several hours in a row, the presenter invited Oksana to work together.

Soon the working relationship developed into a romantic one. A marriage proposal followed, which Oksana accepted. In these first years after graduating from university, the young TV presenter worked at the Leningrad TV studio of Channel Five. Here Pushkina hosted her first programs for 5 years, which were called “Man of Results” and “Lady Luck.” Although these projects did not bring Oksana Viktorovna much popularity, they did give her experience.

In 1993, a young Leningrad TV presenter took advantage of the opportunity and went to San Francisco. Here in California, Pushkina continued her studies and worked at the same time. Oksana got a job as a correspondent on the ABC television channel. She studied management and marketing of a television company with interest. She returned home after 4 years.

Oksana Pushkina
In 1997, the ORT channel aired an original program called “Women’s Stories of Oksana Pushkina.” Heartfelt stories about the private lives of stars turned out to be in demand in the country. An audience of thousands of spectators sat near the screens to listen to exciting confessions and stories about the fate of heroes whose names were known throughout Russia. "Women's Stories" was published over 2 years. But in 1999, Pushkina left the channel due to disagreements with the management.

The journalist switched to NTV. Soon a program was broadcast here, which was now called differently - “A woman’s view of Oksana Pushkina.” The TV presenter has finally strengthened her rank as a Russian television star. She was awarded the Olympia Prize. This is an award given to women who have achieved tangible success in their work.

At the end of 2013, Oksana moved from NTV to Channel One. In March, a new author’s project by the journalist entitled “I’m filing for divorce” began to be published. But already in August the program was taken off the air for an unknown reason.

In the spring of 2021, viewers again saw Pushkina in her usual role as a TV presenter. The journalist works for the NTV channel and hosts the new program “Mirror for a Hero.” The program aired on March 8, 2016. Oksana called her own return to television the main event on March 8.

End of TV career

From NTV, the presenter moved to Channel One, where she presented the program “I’m filing for divorce.” It did not last long (unlike Pushkina’s previous projects): having started airing in March, it went off the air in August. No one explained the reasons for this decision.

In 2014, Oksana appeared again on Channel One with a new documentary about Irina Rodnina. The film was called “Irina Rodnina. A woman with character." However, this remained an episode, and Pushkina’s career on the main Russian television channel did not develop.

Two years later, the presenter returned to NTV. She had her own project, “Mirror for a Hero.” The debut release was on March 8th. However, as in the case of “I’m filing for divorce,” the project did not take off; Pushkina’s show lasted until the beginning of July, after which it was taken off the air.

Guests of the program included artist Nikas Safronov, chansonnier Mikhail Shufutinsky, singers Tatyana Bulanova, Yulia Nachalova, Anita Tsoi and Natalya Sturm, actresses Natalya Andreichenko, Raisa Ryazanova and Elena Yakovleva, writer Eduard Uspensky and many other celebrities.

The heroine of the last issue was Honored Artist of Russia Nina Dvorzhetskaya. At the end of 2017, just before the New Year, they tried to launch the program again (the hero of the episode was the artist and set designer Boris Krasnov), but there was no continuation.

Social activity

In the summer of 2015, Pushkina’s biography took a new unexpected turn. The journalist received the position of Commissioner for Children's Rights in Moscow and the region.

In 2021, Oksana continued her political career. The TV presenter became a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the 7th convocation. Oksana Pushkina ran for the United Russia party.

Already in the fall, the speaker of the lower house, Vyacheslav Volodin, instructed Pushkina and Irina Rodnina to finalize the bill “On state guarantees of equal rights and freedoms and equal opportunities for men and women.”

Creation

The girl’s creative biography began already in her last years at university. One evening Oksana watched a documentary called “Children of Discord.” The girl actually found this film quite interesting. For more than two hours, Pushkina watched it, literally holding her breath. The presenter, named Vladislav Konovalov, was very convincing, talking about the problems with deep knowledge of the matter.

After this, Oksana cried all night, remembered her own sorrows, and then decided to write a letter to the editor. She really wanted to tell her story to the person who, it seemed to her, would definitely be able to understand her. The answer to this letter came to Oksana very soon. Presenter Konovalov immediately realized that this message was written not just by some smart girl, but, most likely, by a journalist. They met and talked for several hours in a row, after which the presenter invited the girl to work with him.

Personal life

Oksana Pushkina was married to her first husband, Vladislav Konovalov, for 27 years. The TV presenter learned a long time ago that her husband lives in two families and has an illegitimate son, even before his trip to America. But the couple divorced only in 2010. In this marriage, Oksana Viktorovna had her only son, Artem. Today the young man works in the IT technology market. He has his own family.

Pushkina's personal life changed in the winter of 2012. Oksana's second husband was bank employee Alexei Shirokikh. This is also his second marriage. The first left two children.
