At the origins
Yuri Antonov was born in evacuation in Tashkent three months before the Great Victory in 1945. When hostilities had already completely ceased, Atonov’s dad, Mikhail Vasilyevich, was appointed to the Berlin Military Administration, where he later transported his wife and son. Already in Germany, the family was replenished with a girl, daughter Zhanna.

Already at a conscious age, Yuri, along with all his relatives, migrated to Belarus, where the family settled in the provincial town of Molodechno. This is where the countdown of the future hitmaker’s creative biography began. Mom took the boy to music school, after which the boy decided to continue studying music and entered the local music school. From an early age, Yura touched his family and friends with his masterly skill in handling instruments. The boy played the accordion especially well and sang, accompanying himself. The next round of his development was the mastery of folk instruments.

Already at 14, a talented young man with extraordinary organizational skills led a choir as part of an amateur performance at the depot. And he even received a salary of 60 rubles for this. And while a student at the music school, he organized a pop orchestra, which successfully performed on the stage of the city cultural center.
By 1963, Yuri Antonov had already graduated from high school and was assigned to the Minsk Music School. In parallel with teaching, he worked part-time as a soloist-instrumentalist in the orchestra of the Belarusian State Philharmonic. In 1964 he was drafted into the army.

Having repaid his debt to his homeland, Antonov returned to Minsk, where his entire family lived, and became the musical director of the Tonika ensemble under the direction of Viktor Vuyachich. During these years, Antonov made significant acquaintances with several famous promising musicians, incl. with the future leader of “Pesnyary” Vladimir Mulyavin.
Path to glory
In 1969, the aspiring musician received an invitation to become a keyboard player in the popular Leningrad ensemble “Singing Guitars”.
This musical group became Antonov’s springboard to the starry Olympus. His original songs were performed here for the first time. Here Yuri first tried himself as a vocalist. The most famous songs of that period were “You are no more beautiful”, “If you love”, “Mirror”. The inspiration of Antonov the composer did not leave him even at night, masterpieces sounded from under his fingers.

In the 70s, Yuri Mikhailovich moved to another musical group, VIA “Good Fellows”. In 1973, Antonov’s first album of original songs was released, many of which received an instant response in the hearts of fans. In addition, his songs were performed by star solo performers (Lev Leshchenko, Katya Semenova) and musical groups “Merry Guys”, “Singing Hearts”, “Earthlings”, “Araks”, “Blue Bird”, “Flowers”, “ Airbus". Each new work of Yuri Antonov as a composer invariably became a hit, and the author’s fame had already leaked beyond the borders of the Soviet Union.

Anna now lives in France, and later the singer’s daughter, Lyudmila, also moved in with her.

For six years she worked on the Russian-language television channel (RTN WMNB), where she hosted her own program “Author's Readings by Irina Bezladnova,” in which she read out her own stories and novellas. In 1999, her works began to be published in Russia, in the St. Petersburg periodicals “Zvezda” and “Neva”. Then two books by Bezladnova were published: “Such a Woman”, “Your Sister”.
