Tamara was born in the Kaluga region, in a town called Lgov. At first, the girl’s last name sounded different - Bokhonova. Her father died in the war when Tamara was little.
In 1946, my mother married for the second time. Stepfather Pyotr Vasilyevich Semin adopted two children and managed to replace their own father. Tamara Petrovna took her stepfather's surname.

Syomina graduated from an 8-year school in Kaluga, but she wanted to get a higher education. Tamara, in order to enter a university, went to a school for working youth, where a creative teaching staff was selected. Bulat Okudzhava became the literature teacher of the future screen star.
Tamara was destined to become a teacher. The girl entered the pedagogical institute, but soon realized that the only profession that attracted her was acting. Syomina took the documents and went to the capital. Amazingly, in Moscow, which the girl did not know, the trolleybus brought the applicant to a stop near VGIK.

At the end of the first year, Tamara Petrovna starred in the graduation film of one graduate, and then came to the virgin lands, where her classmates worked during the summer holidays. It was there that she paid close attention to Vladimir, noting his beauty and intelligence. They met several times, talked, and then never parted with each other. The lovers had their wedding in their second year, and after graduation they began developing their careers. However, her husband's acting career did not work out. He was not invited to act in films, so Vladimir Nikolaevich began dubbing the characters in various films, having worked for more than thirty years at the Gorky Film Studio.

Their family had everything: love, respect, care, attention, but not only children. The big tragedy in their personal life was the loss of their twin sons when they had a miscarriage. If it were a girl, everything would be fine.” Later, doctors confirmed the words of that soothsayer, and the actress was never destined to become a mother, although she cherished this hope until she was 40 years old. Her husband never reproached her for this; on the contrary, he supported and reassured her. A trusting relationship was initially established between them, there were no quarrels or scandals in the family, and the husband was not jealous of the movie star’s more successful career and fellow actors.
But in the early 90s, their happy life was overshadowed by misfortune: Vladimir Nikolaevich had a stroke and was taken to intensive care. Then the actress had to practically rescue her paralyzed husband from the other world. She forgot about her career for several years and devoted herself to her husband. Doctors then told her that her husband would live for about a month, but Semina decided to fight for the life of her loved one to the end. Fans, having learned about her grief, helped her in any way they could and brought things, food or money.
Thanks to the efforts of the actress, her husband lived for another 15 years. She tried to create for him all the conditions for a normal life. I bought a home theater, recorded a symphony orchestra concert for it, and over time bought a mobile phone, which my husband had dreamed of for a long time. All these years, Tamara Petrovna forgot about herself, she could not only do her favorite job, but also eat or sleep normally. However, she was happy that Vladimir Nikolaevich was next to her. His death was a huge loss for her, which is why the movie star was depressed for a long time and almost never went out.
