Childhood and youth
The actor was born on July 27, 1980 in Moscow into a family that has nothing to do with theater and cinema. Both parents are involved in science: both the actor’s mother and father are physicists and mathematicians. Sergei has a brother who was a professional athlete and then began running his own business.
According to the actor, even as a child he dreamed of “getting on TV,” but until the age of 14 this desire was chaotic and vague. As a teenager, the boy became interested in school theater, attended an acting club, where he began to play in children's productions.
The final decision to become an artist came after the success of one sketch sketch at a summer camp, in which Sergei played a pilot who lost consciousness in the cockpit. In fact, thanks to the talent of young Lavygin, the tragic situation turned into an incendiary comedy and was very popular among the audience, so Sergei repeated the production several times at school concerts.

Sergey Lavygin and Anna Begunova with their son
After receiving school education, Sergey Lavygin entered the prestigious Shchepkin Higher Theater School the first time and studied there in the acting department with Vladimir Alekseevich Safronov. During his student years, the future actor loved most of all to watch passers-by on the street and not only adopt the gait and behavior of those around him, but also predict the characters and mood of strangers. This hobby later helped me better get used to the characters.
After graduating from a theater university, Lavygin joined the troupe of the Moscow Theater for Young Spectators, where he worked until 2014. During this time, Sergei played more than a dozen roles on the theater stage, the most memorable of which are Mr. Smith in “Peter Pan,” Sharik in “Two Maples,” and Castagno in the production of “The Phantom Cavalier.” The actor also collaborated with Teatr.doc and the Vsevolod Meyerhold Center.
In his youth, Sergei Lavygin gained experience as a TV presenter after he hosted the “Seriality” program on the Man-TV channel, in which he told viewers about new movies coming out on DVD. He also participated in the popular entertainment show “Big Difference,” in which he began filming from the 63rd episode.
Youth and student life
Anya comes from the Siberian city of Omsk. My father worked at a local factory, my mother was an ophthalmologist. An older sister grew up in the family, who graduated from VTU named after. Shchukin and only in adulthood began to actively act in films. She is married to Philip Vasiliev, the son of the acting couple Tatiana and Anatoly. As a teenager, Anya dreamed of becoming a police officer and protecting those who needed it. She studied music and was fond of folk and classical dancing, and was involved in the sports section of rhythmic gymnastics. But after graduating from school, she made her first attempt to become an actress - the graduate went to the capital and applied to several theater universities at once. Even now she admits - you failed then, there would not have been a second attempt.
But fate decided otherwise - Begunova entered and was enrolled in the Moscow Art Theater School. Here she studied on the same course with Miroslava Karpovich, who also quickly became in demand and famous. The first place of work was the stage of the theater. A.P. Chekhov. But after graduation, Anna joined the troupe of the Moscow Drama Theater. A.S. Pushkin. She still considers the theatrical stage to be a higher priority than the film set - the actress values live communication with the audience and the exchange of emotions and energy.
On the theater stage, Begunova appears in modern and classical productions, in fairy tales - her roles are quite diverse. Not long ago, Anya started skating and tried herself as a figure skater, taking part in the “Ice Age” project. Her partner turned out to be professional Lithuanian figure skater Povilasu Vanagasu. Thanks to perseverance and a skillful mentor, she quickly mastered skating and learned to dance on ice.
Movies
The creative biography of Sergei Lavygin began in 2003. He played Vasily Zaviryukha in the melodrama about the times of the Khrushchev Thaw “Hello, capital!” This role did not bring him much fame.
The artist’s filmography includes the films “Lawyer 2”, “Spy Games”, “Trace”, “From the Life of Captain Chernyaev”. Episodic roles in detective and crime projects did not bother the artist at all. Sergei was gaining recognition among the public and directors.
The actor gained popularity due to his role as Arseny Chuganin, a general cook whom everyone calls Senya, in the comedy sitcom “Kitchen.” Lavygin did an excellent job with the image of a cheerful but thieving cook. Together with actor Mikhail Tarabukin, who plays Fedya, he created the most comedic couple in the series. The actor says that on the street he is recognized as Semyon and is often called by that name. Sometimes they even make comments about the character’s behavior in a sitcom or advise him to stop stealing food from the kitchen.
Sergei Lavygin in the comedy “Bitter!”
In total, 6 seasons of the multi-part project were created, one documentary television film about the filming, as well as 2 full-length films “Kitchen in Paris” and “Kitchen. Last fight". Sergei Lavygin presented the latest picture in ]Dmitry Nazarov[/anchor] on the talk show “Evening Urgant”. The actors told viewers about the differences between the new film and the previous ones, shared their changed attitude towards the restaurant business and demonstrated how 5 years of filming brought the cast together.
Almost immediately after the start of the broadcast of “Kitchen,” Sergei Lavygin received the bright role of the “muzzle” Tolik in the folk comedy “Bitter!” by Zhora Kryzhovnikov. Continuing his collaboration with the popular director, a year later the artist appeared in the 2nd part of the film, and then starred in the box-office project “The Best Day!”
In the psychological drama “Thirst,” Lavygin played the main character Pashka. Together with his film partners Mikhail Grubov and Roman Kurtsyn, Sergei won the special prize “For Energy and Charm” at the Kinotavr Film Festival.
Another popular film with the participation of Sergei Lavygin is the comedy film “Mommies”. In the series, the actor plays Roman, the henpecked husband of one of the heroines, played by Svetlana Kolpakova. Sergei says that, despite the comedy and lightness of the image, this character was not easy for him, since it is completely opposite to his character. It is interesting that Kolpakova and Lavygin constantly showed family quarrels in the first episodes of the film, so the actors turned to the writers with a request to add more romance to the episodes involving their characters, which had a positive effect on the realism of the series.
Sergey Lavygin in the TV series “Kitchen”
On November 28, 2021, the premiere of the new Russian-Ukrainian comedy series “Hotel Eleon” took place, a spin-off and indirect continuation of the popular culinary sitcom “Kitchen”. In this project, Lavygin returned to the character of Arseny Chuganin, who from a general cook turned into a chef, and the role itself moved from minor to the main one. He appeared in both the 2nd and 3rd seasons of the series. The sitcom won the love of television viewers and, as the creators of the franchise note, filled the void left by the end of the plot of “Kitchen.”
In the comedy “Well, hello, Oksana Sokolova!” the artist got the image of a police captain. Thanks to the brilliant cast, which included Viktor Dobronravov, Valentina Mazunina, Alexei Bazanov, Sergei Burunov, the film grossed $1.5 million in six months.
The comedy series “Grand,” in which Lavygin again plays a sous-chef, was released in 2021. The plot is built around the life of employees of a capital hotel. Among the performers of the main and supporting roles there are many people familiar from the TV series “Kitchen” and “Hotel Eleon”.

The image of the cook Senya became iconic for the STS TV channel, so he launched the sketch “SenyaFedya”. The project allows viewers to see the life of two friends in completely new circumstances - outside the familiar world of the Claude Monet and Victor restaurants. “Personally, for me, our new project prolongs my youth, allows me to misbehave, fool around and have fun. By the way, Misha and I like to joke in real life, then quarrel and make peace again - almost like Senya and Fedya,” said Lavygin.
For Sergei Lavygin, 2021 was marked by two major works. The first is the series “Infuriating”, and the second is the new season of the series “Kitchen. War for the Hotel 2."
“Besit” is a project that touches on current problems in modern society, from drugs to the invasion of tiktokers. Sergei Lavygin appeared in episode 6, which was dedicated to domestic violence.
Season 2 of the acclaimed sitcom “Kitchen. War for the Hotel" received unexpected twists in the plot and new characters, for example, a charming ski instructor named Mel (Dmitry Vlasov). And Sergei Lavygin appeared before the audience in the familiar image of the cook Senya, with whom even more funny situations happen.
Maria Lugova's husband - photo
Not everyone knows how interesting and varied the artist’s biography is. Not so long ago, Lavygin’s common-law wife was Anna Begunova from the TV series “Kitchen”. Personal life was not going very well, but children were born in the marriage - son Fedor. They wanted their son to grow up as positive as Fedya from “Kitchen.” The family could not hold its fortress, even despite the child. The actress and her first husband remained on excellent terms.
Maria Lugovaya met her husband recently, and so far they are trying not to advertise their relationship. The girl played the main role in “Redhead”. Photos of Maria Lugova’s husband, although not official yet, began to appear on the actress’s pages. There is no doubt about the existence of a love relationship. The young people went on a date several times and did not have time to understand how quickly everything started to spin. Since January, Maria Lugovaya and her husband had a luxurious wedding. Maria was his longtime lover; they studied together at the Moscow Youth Theater. Fans did not even suspect that such a wonderful couple would be formed.
Maria Lugova's husband cannot live without the stage. Sergei loves medical issues, looks at everything that interests him, reads publications and books in this field of activity. Pays special attention to surgical operations. For his 25th birthday, a friend gave him an encyclopedia on medicine, which Lavygin studied completely.
A man dreams that everything that exists today will never end. Lavygin starred in various TV series, which immediately became popular. At one point, Sergei lost a lot of weight and told everyone about the secret of the diet. The man has an Instagram page where he constantly posts posts and photos. Fans are waiting for Sergei to delight them with new projects that are no less interesting.
Personal life
Sergei Lavygin was in a civil marriage with actress Anna Begunova, who is his on-screen wife in the TV series “Kitchen”. At the beginning of 2021, the couple announced the imminent birth of their first child. And already in March, their son Fedor appeared. The actor has no other children.
Sergey and Anna were in no hurry to formalize their relationship, because they believed that the wedding and the stamp in the passport would not affect their relationship. But after some time the couple broke up. Anna Begunova married the star of the series “Fizruk” Dmitry Vlaskin. She was against an official relationship, but the actor insisted on the wedding. The divorce of Sergei and Anna passed on a friendly note; they decided to maintain good relations for the sake of their son.
Soon, reports appeared in the media about changes in the actor’s personal life. Actress Maria Lugovaya became Sergei Lavygin’s new chosen one. The couple openly appeared at an eco-farm near Moscow, where they spent the weekend.
In January 2021, their wedding became known. The happy newlywed shared his joy with fans on Instagram, captioning the photo: “What do I care about snow, what do I like about heat, what do I like about pouring rain when my wife is with me.”

Wedding of Sergei Lavygin and Maria Lugova
The actor’s family happiness was overshadowed by health problems. In May of the same year, he was urgently hospitalized with a concussion and closed head injury. The incident occurred as a result of Sergei tripping over the entrance steps of a house on the street. Fortunately, he recovered quickly.
The actor closely monitors his diet to maintain weight. He managed to get rid of extra pounds. Moreover, the difference before and after losing weight turned out to be so noticeable that Sergei greatly upset the scriptwriters, who wrote a number of jokes about the “fat” cook in the plot of the TV series “Kitchen”. Now the actor’s weight is 73 kg with a height of 171 cm.
Even the constant pickles at work did not prevent Lavygin from losing weight: the actors of “Kitchen” often prepared real food under the guidance of professional chefs, and ate the dishes prepared during the shooting day. At the request of journalists, the artist revealed the secret of the diet: you need to eat a little every few hours.
The actor has an unusual hobby: he is interested in medicine - he reads specialized articles, watches videos of real surgical operations on the Internet, and studies medical encyclopedias to master the terminology.
Anna Begunova and Sergey Lavygin: “If a child interferes with a relationship, this is very bad”
Anna Begunova and Sergei Lavygin are a funny and touching couple. Their on-screen duet in “Kitchen” caused good-natured laughter, because resourceful Senya, now a restaurant chef, is afraid to disobey his small and fragile wife Marina. But in their real family everything is different. Their relationship is light, airy and at the same time very, very earthly. They are not bored with each other, and this is probably the main secret of a happy family life.
- Anya, Seryozha, this year you had an event of great importance - the birth of a son. How did this affect you?
Anna: With the advent of Fedor, a lot has changed both in priorities and in ourselves. I have become softer, more tolerant and wiser. Now, when we are asked who is the main person in the house, we confidently answer that Fedor.
— Sergey: I’m listening now and once again I understand that I have become much more sentimental.
Anna: Me too. With the birth of a child, I look at each baby with bated breath. And if earlier I was indifferent to films in which children are involved, now I have one hundred percent empathy.
— Seryozha, when you found out that you were having a child, didn’t you think for a second that you could still enjoy the company of your beloved wife and enjoy a carefree life?
Sergei: I still enjoy the company of my beloved wife. If a child interferes with a relationship, that's bad. It’s not for nothing that a child is called the “fruit of love.” Of course, the tree must bear fruit. And Fedenka was already looking for us. He chose us.
- Anya, watching many of your colleagues, do you see that you can have more than one child and be a successful actress?
Anna: Of course! For example, for Katya Vilkova, with whom we are filming together in “Hotel Eleon”. By the way, she is my friend and classmate; for four years we lived in a dorm in the same room. And now she is also our son’s godmother. I am convinced that children never bother anyone. Vice versa. When I watch programs about great actresses of the Soviet era, I sympathize with them, because many did not have a child. It's so sad. I understand that we are growing up, people are already breathing down our backs, but everything has become much simpler and easier.
Sergey: Surprisingly, we were lucky to work with friends on this project. Anton Fedotov, who filmed the fourth, fifth and sixth seasons of “Kitchen,” and I have been friends since we were seventeen. We studied together in Shchepka, then entered the Shchukin School in the directing department. We passed the first session, but the work overwhelmed us, and we both left. But we call each other all the time, meet, go on visits and have family vacations. In general, we are very close people.

— How many years have you and Anya been together?
Sergey: Three years. I can not believe it. Fedenka is already nine months old, but it seems like one day has flown by. In general, time tends to pass very quickly, and the further it goes, the more it accelerates. Now classmates are sending messages: “Guys, let’s meet on the twentieth anniversary of graduation.” How?! I still seem to myself to be completely...
- So it is. And this is good! Especially when people remain the same after having children...
Sergey (laughs): This is really very good, I absolutely agree. As soon as we lose our childish naivety, openness and curiosity, and stop being surprised, we begin to grow old. This is the beginning of the end. Recently, the first children's festival “Children were given a camera” was held in Ufa. Children from eight to sixteen years old who want to be journalists make reports and conduct interviews. There were a hundred to a hundred and fifty people there, and they asked such questions, they had such a keen interest, their eyes were so bright... You can’t lose this interest, no matter how old you are. The guys struck me to the core with their questions, especially one: “What should not be forgotten in life?” I've never been asked this before. Or: “Were you ashamed of any of your roles?”
- And what did you answer to this question?
Sergey: We all once felt more or less ashamed of something. It seems to me that at least once in a life an artist should feel failure. I have experienced this myself many times, and it is very useful. The best medicine is to work as hard as possible to switch your thoughts. Otherwise you might go crazy.
— Seryozha, do you remember the specific moment when you first saw Anya?
Sergey: Of course! We were filming in the same sketch comedy, I went into the dressing room trailer, and Anya was sitting there.
— And you were immediately struck on the spot?
Sergei: Probably, a spark flashed for me at the first meeting, although perhaps I did not immediately admit it to myself or understand it.
Anna: Back then I looked something like this: no makeup, big glasses.
Sergey: I remember the very first dialogue that happened between us.
Anna: Even I remember. (Smiles.)
Sergey: As soon as the signal arrived, I said: “Hello! I think you and I worked together somewhere?”
Anna: And I answered: “No, you are mistaken.” I was very unapproachable. (Laughs.)

- And how did it all start, was it a fast-paced romance?
Anna: Not fast, on the contrary. We both approached this very intelligently, from afar.
- So what got you hooked on Seryozha, his wonderful humor?
Anna: No, although Seryozha jokes amazingly, subtly, smartly, and we laughed all the time on set, I was shocked by his talent. And he's an incredible partner. He bribed me with this. And only then I saw that he had both this and that, that he was both kind and caring. The more we talked, the more I saw that we were very similar.
Sergey: We don’t look alike at all, what are you coming up with? (Smiles.)
Anna: Of course, Seryozha has his own view on many things and his own psychophysics, but we are still similar.
Sergey: Well, okay, there are a lot of similarities: we are both Leos according to the horoscope. (Laughs.) Seriously, we both love to travel, walk, eat delicious food, watch a good movie, cats, our work and much more...
— It’s hard when one is neat and pedantic, and the other doesn’t care about all this at all...
Sergey: And we are similar in this too, we don’t bother too much about order. And no one makes any complaints or offers to wipe off the dust or put things away. This is all such nonsense, such trifles.
Anna: But sometimes Cinderella comes to me. (Smiles.)
Sergey: Yes, she can visit her, but Anya doesn’t send her Cinderella to me. So there is no disagreement at all on this topic. True, now we have both become more responsible in this regard, because Fedya has appeared - he needs cleanliness. We are also similar in that we drink tea without sugar. (Smiles.)
Anna: And we love simple food, without any frills.
Anna is also known as a theater actress. She has one of the main roles in the play “Profitable Place”

“And this comes from a man who spent so much time in a restaurant kitchen!”
Sergey: If we come across an interesting restaurant on a trip, we are always curious to look into it. But at the same time, I'm not a gourmet. In this case, food for me is like going to a museum, discovering something new, expanding my horizons and experience. But even the simplest food gives you a buzz. And we cook at home very simply and as healthy as possible. Why do I insist that I am not a gourmet? Because for the New Year, all I need is Olivier salad. Moreover, our dear one, with the doctor’s sausage.
Anna: That’s why we always have a bowl of Olivier for the New Year.
- Nevertheless, Seryozha, remember which new dishes made the strongest impression on you?
Sergey: There are many of them. I didn’t know almost any of the names before that. And to expand your horizons, the bouillabaisse was interesting, and the veal cheeks were very tasty. Of course, especially at first, I had a keen interest in trying what it was. And when we had molecular gastronomy, which I had only heard about out of the blue... Now in restaurants I can even recommend some of the names.
— Didn’t you take a master class from your consultant chefs?
Sergey: I can’t boast that I have now become a chef at home, no. But I really learned how to chop skillfully.
Anna: Yes, Seryozha can cut anything, any way and in any quantity. Does everything quickly and efficiently. And this, of course, is a huge help for me in the kitchen.

— After participating in popular TV series, didn’t they start using you more widely, for example, inviting you to host events?
Sergey: Not only did they begin to use me, but I also began to take advantage of such opportunities. For example, I recently led a presentation of a new Russian cuisine menu. It was very interesting and tasty. Thanks to this, I dug into a whole layer of the history of the existence of traditional cuisine and learned a lot of new things. I have another hobby - medicine.
- Hobby? What does this mean?
Anna: If I get sick, I call Seryozha and ask what I should take. He always determines exactly what I have based on the symptoms. I said: “Seryozha, I urgently need to see a doctor tomorrow!”, and he: “No need. Anya, you’re just allergic.” And he turns out to be right. He diagnoses and treats well.
Sergey: For my twenty-fiveth birthday, my friends gave me a medical encyclopedia, knowing my hobby.
— Did you want to become a doctor?
Sergei: There were such thoughts, but still something else prevailed. Although, of course, in reality I wanted to be an artist and only an artist. But I can’t do anything about my interest in medicine, it’s a hobby.

— Seryozha, have you asked the directors why you are often invited to play henpecked roles: in “The Kitchen”, and in “Hotel Eleon”, and in “Mommies”?
Sergey: I didn’t ask. But this does not cause a feeling of protest in me. On the contrary, I am curious to explore such topics. And these characters are interesting to me, including because they find themselves in sharply comedic situations.
- Anya, can’t Seryozha be called henpecked?
Anna: No, rather, I am under his boot. But this is a wonderful boot, with an orthopedic sole, which suits me very well.
— Do you give each other professional advice?
Sergey: Advice is good when asked. But offering advice without asking is wrong. I endlessly attack Anya with questions about what to wear, what to wear to go somewhere, because she has excellent taste, and I am completely devoid of this talent.
- Anya, you play quite a lot on stage, at the Theater. Pushkin...
Anna: I feel very good in this theater. We have an amazing troupe, a wonderful artistic director - Evgeny Aleksandrovich Pisarev. Here everything is so homely, dear, and I am helped by my partners - my colleagues who know me well, and in the cinema, in enterprises, I test myself. And this is also interesting to me.
— Your serial heroine Marina is incredibly jealous. And you?
Anna: We don’t have that at all.
Sergei: Jealousy does not live with us; it lacks the square meters of our soul.
Anna: Even when they tell me: “Seryozha plays in Mommies with another actress, he’s there...”, and I see that Seryozha plays amazingly, it gives me pleasure. I don’t even see that it’s my husband, I’m just watching an interesting series.
- Seryozha, do you ever look at Anya the same way, forgetting that this is your wife?
Sergei: It seems to me that Anya is exaggerating. This is another incredibly positive quality of hers - she supports me very much. And as much as Anya supports me, that’s how I grow.
- So Napoleon was Napoleon largely because Josephine was nearby.
Sergey: That's what I'm talking about. At home they always tell me that I am the best.

— Seryozha, did your parents raise you the same way?
Sergey: Yes, mom and dad have always supported me since childhood. And Anya, on the day of the premiere or some other day, the person in charge always sends a text message: “You are the best! Everything gonna be alright!" I read and think: “If she knows me like crazy and says that I’m the best, then I am.” And this gives me strength, even if later someone says: “It’s bad.” Well, someone didn’t like it, and that’s fine. But I have it written that I am the best. (Laughs.) So this is my protection, my body armor.
- Do you think that compared to the period of fluffing your tail, you have not started laughing less with each other?
Sergey: No, what are you talking about, we laugh regularly. We still talk a lot.
Anna: And even when Seryozha comes very late after filming, I wait for him, and dinner is not dinner, but there is always a discussion of the day. How did it all go, who has any news, and then some jokes might slip in.
Sergey: Evening summing up of the day is a constant for us. And it can be humorous, dramatic, tragic. It all depends on how the day went.
— Do you call each other some affectionate names?
Sergey: No. Seryozha and Anya, Nyura. There are no bunnies, no cats.
— What do you admire about Anya?
Sergey: Psychologists have this training: write down twenty positive traits of your significant other. You can't fit twenty into one.
Anna: I already said about talent. I also like that Seryozha is responsible, and most importantly, genuine. He is a man who will never go overboard, will never do anyone harm.
Sergei: I’m going to cry now. I'm telling you, I've become sentimental. Anya is simply baffled by such epithets. It’s nice, of course, that you immediately begin to think well of yourself. I'll add about the first meeting. I think it had to do with some kind of mental chemistry. There was apparently some kind of molecule flying in the air; I inhaled it when I entered the trailer. Some kind of love extrasystole slipped through. When you really like a person, you start to worry and try to pretend that you don’t care about this person. Maybe I actively started joking because I wanted to laugh it off and shut it down, and that made us feel even better. We had lunch together every time. And I realized that Anya is absolutely fearless. And she's not afraid to fail. Sometimes it’s better not to even stop her, but to let her try, and let her bruise her forehead. She throws herself at something and it makes her stronger.
Anna: Yes, I rush and don’t say to myself: “Why did I go?!” That’s exactly how two years ago I rushed into Ice Age. True, this was before the birth of Fedor. Now, maybe I'm not so extreme anymore.

— Seryozha, did you give your blessing to Anya for “Glacial”?
Sergey: How not to let go? Stay at home, don't go anywhere? But Anya herself would not go where it is dangerous. As far as I know, she did not jump with a parachute. And I wouldn't jump. We are similar in this sense too. I generally don’t like extreme sports, despite the fact that I enjoy active recreation.
— I always wonder why artists need to go to such extremes? I think you already have enough of it...
Sergei: You know, the premiere of the play is a fairly extreme adventure, it’s essentially a parachute jump, I have enough adrenaline, I don’t need more. But agreeing to “Ice Age” without ever skating in my life, in my opinion, was a powerful gamble. But she is an artist, and ice is not a soft pillow. And Anya had no time at all to prepare, to roll out. Whenever I could, I was present at the podium and was always very worried. Artists, as a rule, love to play heroines and be beautiful. There are very few people who have the talent of a clown. I perceive clowning as the height of acting. And Anya has this quality. And this, I think, again has to do with fearlessness; to be eccentric you have to be like that. She also has one more ability. Just as in “The Fifth Element” there was a self-improving organism, so Anya knows how not to get stuck at one stage, but to draw conclusions and move forward, to evolve. With the birth of Fedya, she turned from a girl into a caring mother. Her feminine and maternal instincts simply blossomed!
- It seems you didn’t sign? Isn't it important to both of you?
Sergey: We flew past this event like a Boeing 747 and immediately became a family.
- Anya, didn’t you dream of a wedding in your youth, of a beautiful dress?
Anna: How many weddings have I had on stage and in films! And I don’t even think about it, I just know that Seryozha is my husband and we are family.
