Childhood
Tatyana Itsykovich (the actress’s maiden name) was born on February 28, 1947 in Leningrad. Her father, a graduate of an economics university, could only get a job as a mechanic because of his nationality; he went to the front during the Great Patriotic War, and her mother, together with her eldest daughter Alla, survived the war years in evacuation, working as a teacher in an orphanage. After the victory, the family reunited in Leningrad, the father got a job as a milling fitter at a factory, and the mother left work shortly after Tatyana’s birth and devoted all her time to raising children.

Later she developed her favorite subjects – literature and foreign languages. Acting gave Tatiana the opportunity to escape from her real self. In high school, she enrolled in various thematic circles located in different parts of the city: literary, literary circle, movement. After school, Tatyana applied to the Moscow Art Theater School and became a student in the course of Evgenia Mores, Vladimir Bogomolov and Vasily Markov.
