Childhood and youth
Evgeny Rudin was born on April 6, 1972 in the city of Apatity, located in the Murmansk region. There is very little information on the Internet about the artist’s childhood and family. Many sites write that one of the musician’s school friends was the well-known TV presenter Andrei Malakhov. They studied in the same class for a long time, and therefore maintain friendly relations to this day.

After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Rudin went to St. Petersburg, where he subsequently began his ascent to the heights of the musical Olympus. In the city on the Neva, Evgeniy entered the St. Petersburg Conservatory. There, the ambitious young man worked on his vocals for a couple of years in order to become a singer in the future. However, the DJ’s environment quickly changed his creative plans.
It is known that during his student years the artist began to seriously engage in DJing. In his free time, the guy sat for hours at the DJ console, inventing and mixing compositions.
DJ Groove as a child
The first serious success came to Rudin outside the Northern capital. As part of the group “Not Found,” the artist performed at the first rave festival in the Soviet Union, “Gagarin-party,” which instantly brought him popularity. From 1990 to 1993, DJ Groove performed at concerts with already promoted stars, and also collaborated with the Kiss FM radio station.
Success on the music scene forced Evgeniy to leave his studies at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and devote himself to DJing. In 1993, Rudin performed at the London DMC festival and also became a star guest at the first DJ competition in Russia.

After this, the artist performed for a couple of years in Europe and Russia, along with other popular performers. In 1995, Evgeniy became the first program director, as well as the presenter at the newly created radio station “Station 106.8”. In parallel with this, Rudin began collaborating with Russian celebrities of those years, writing remixes of previously created compositions.
First creative successes
In the early to mid-90s, the country was literally swept by a wave of DJing, and the young gifted musician decided to try himself in this field at all costs.
At first, he was only involved in coming up with original arrangements, processing famous compositions using a DJ console, thanks to which he soon became known in certain circles, which for the most part was associated exclusively with dance music at discos.
However, his first serious achievement was participation in the all-Union rave festival called “Gagarin-party”, where he performed as part of the group NOT FOUND. The team's performance literally blew the audience away.

After this, his career took off sharply. At first, somewhere from 91 to 93, he performed at all kinds of shows and parties, then he worked closely with the Aquatica project, and also appeared on Kiss FM and even got on London radio. And there he was met with resounding success.
Music
Evgeniy became famous as an independent musician in the mid-nineties. During this period, his remixes “Office Romance” (a video was shot for the composition) and “Meeting” (from the film “Gypsy”) began to be played on all radio stations in Russia.

A couple of them were based on old melodies. The only exception was the composition “Happiness Is”, the main feature of which was the use of the voices of Mikhail Gorbachev and his wife Raisa. In 1996, this mix topped the Maximum radio chart for six weeks. It is also known that the DJ received a number of prestigious awards for this song.
Then Rudin released the track “Vote or Lose,” written specifically for Boris Yeltsin’s election campaign, as well as the albums “Happiness Is” and “Nocturne.”
Over the years, the famous DJ collaborated with the group “Brilliant”, singer Lika and even Joseph Kobzon. In addition, the artist also wrote a couple of compositions for the films “Down House,” in which actor Ivan Okhlobystin starred, and “Midlife Crisis,” directed by the well-known singer Garik Sukachev.
In the late nineties and early two thousand, Evgeniy began working as a producer with the group “Guests from the Future”. Thanks to Rudin's help, this project became popular.

Later, the artist began to search for new creative projects. In 2006, he created a school for young DJs “AUDIO” in Moscow, where he subsequently passed on his experience to talented newcomers.
As a solo artist, in 2013 Evgeniy released the single “Pop dope”, and in 2014 the album “My Story In Progress”. Currently, the artist is involved in charity work and participates in social projects.

Several remix albums of DJ Groove were also released: “Let's Talk About Sex”, (1996), “Remixes” (1997), “DJ Groove and Everything, Everything, Everything” (1999), “Successor of Film Remixes” (2007). In addition to albums, DJ groove released several singles that were not included in any album.

Personal life
Eugene never talked much about relationships with representatives of the weaker half of humanity. Despite the artist’s efforts not to make his personal life public, nosy journalists always managed to find out for whom the eminent musician had tender feelings.
It is reliably known that Rudin was married twice. The DJ's first wife's name was Alexandra. The young people met at 5 am on May 5, 2005. Then the 43-year-old artist stopped at a friend’s nightclub and met 18-year-old Sasha there, who at that moment was relaxing in the establishment with her friend.

The acquaintance of DJ Groove and the student turned into love. The lovers lived in a civil marriage for 3 years and then got married. Their marriage lasted 7 years, but children in this union, which broke up in 2015, never appeared. However, the reason for the divorce, according to Alexandra, was not the lack of heirs, but the fact that Evgeniy never matured.
In conversations with media representatives, Rudina’s ex-wife said that she had to endure her husband’s behavior for many years, hoping for change. Evgeny treated his loved ones poorly, was childish and often made a fuss out of nowhere. Alexandra realized that people do not change, and it is better to forget everything and start life from scratch. According to the girl, her ex-husband killed her love with his actions.

Despite the harsh statements addressed to her ex-husband, the ex-wife of DJ Grove does not devalue the help Rudnev provided her during the marriage. It is known that Evgeniy supported the young lady during her studies and influenced Alexandra to also become a DJ.
It is worth noting that Grove did not grieve alone for long. A couple of months after the divorce, the paparazzi photographed the musician in a cafe, along with a dark-haired beauty. Later it turned out that this girl is an entrepreneur, director of the business center Denise Vartpatrikova. Among other things, in November, concerts of the cult American project “The Crystal Method” will take place in the St. Petersburg club “Cosmonaut” and in the Moscow club “RED”. Especially for Russian fans, Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland will perform together after the break, with the anniversary program “20 Years Tour”. It is known that DJ Groove will play as the opening act for the band.
Despite his work schedule, Rudin does not forget about his fans. On Twitter and VKontakte, Evgeniy regularly posts posts in which he tells subscribers about the latest news from his life.
