Childhood and adolescence

Our hero is the son of the popular Soviet actor Alexander Shirvindt and architect Natalya Belousova. His parents met in the holiday village NIL (which stood for “Science. Art. Literature”), where they came for the summer with their families. Over time, childhood friendship grew into true love, and in 1957 the young people got married. The newly-made family settled in a communal apartment on Skaterny Lane, and a year later their son Mikhail was born.

When the boy was seven years old, his parents moved to the famous Stalinist “high-rise” on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, where party workers, prominent government officials and the cultural elite lived. The apartment had a huge loggia where my father’s friends liked to gather - Mikhail Derzhavin, Andrei Mironov, Mark Zakharov, Grigory Gorin, Eldar Ryazanov and many others. Gatherings usually turned into impromptu creative evenings and often dragged on until the morning.

My father's friends happily tinkered with little Misha, who did not yet understand what level of people came to their house. Andrei Mironov gave the boy rare music records, Mikhail Derzhavin played hockey with him and even organized a friendly meeting on the ice with Valery Kharlamov and Alexander Maltsev.

The boy went on tour with his father, spent a lot of time behind the scenes of the theater, and often visited film sets. But he didn’t like going to school, periodically skipped classes and bounced between grades of two and three. In 1975, Shirvindt Jr. became a student at the Shchukin School, but in his third year he was expelled for anti-Soviet behavior. Misha and his friends tore the national flag from the roof of the architectural institute; later this story formed the basis of director Sergei Ursulyak’s thesis “Russian Ragtime” (1993). For this offense, Mikhail was expelled from the Komsomol and only thanks to the intervention of his father escaped criminal punishment.

After being expelled from Shchuka, our hero worked for some time as a decorator at the Sovremennik Theater, then got a job as a loader at VIA Gems, where he simultaneously looked after the young Vladimir Presnyakov and Dmitry Malikov.

Two years later, he managed to re-enter the Shchukin School, which he successfully graduated from in 1981, and thanks to his friendship with Konstantin Raikin, he joined the troupe of the Satyricon Theater, where he served until 1989.

Television career

In 1992, Mikhail first appeared on television as the host of the Lotto-Million show. At the same time, together with director and producer Alexander Konyashov, he created the Libra studio and began television production.

Not all of his ideas suited the channel management, so many programs were closed after several pilot episodes. Having made several projects on sensitive social topics, Shirvind Jr. conceived a new show about dogs, in which famous media personalities will introduce viewers to their pets and take part in competitions along with ordinary people.

A big fan of dogs himself, Mikhail has long noticed how people change when it comes to their four-legged pets. In April 1995, the first episode of the “Dog Show” program was aired, which existed on television for ten years, was repeatedly nominated for “TEFI” and was closed in 2005 due to changes in the channel’s policy. In 2013, Shirvind decided to revive the program, but his attempts were unsuccessful.

“Dog Show” (1998) Thanks to Mikhail’s production activities, viewers were able to get acquainted with such educational programs as “Plant Life” with Pavel Lobkov, “Travels of a Naturalist” by Pavel Lyubimtsev, “Recipe Hunters” with the brilliant Lyubov Polishchuk and her husband Sergei Tsigal and many others.

In 2007, Shirvindt presented to the audience his latest author’s television project, “I Want to Know,” which lasted five years. After this, Mikhail finally parted with television, declaring that he did not want to live by the “laws of the jungle” and would wait for better times, when the scandalous talk shows that filled the screens would be replaced by highly professional programs that bring “reasonable, good, eternal” to the masses. Mikhail Shirvindt in the “I Want to Know” program Since 2021, Shirvindt Jr. has been actively exploring the Internet space and running his own blog “Edible-Inedible” on YouTube, in which he covers his travels around the world, introduces subscribers to the culinary traditions of people from different countries, and shares addresses "delicious" restaurants. Companion in mischief and pranks

One of the funniest cases, which almost cost the whole family a lot of trouble, happened in Sweden, where a large family went on a joint vacation. They stayed at a hotel in a small town, and Sasha, together with Alexander Shirvindt, went for a walk. At the same time, she had to look after her grandfather. Very quickly the couple spent all the crowns they had, but there was no currency exchange office in the town, and they had nowhere to get dollars.

However, after a couple of days, Mikhail saw that his daughter was eating cotton candy with gusto. He thought that dad managed to find a currency exchange office, but it turned out that grandfather decided that there was no need to spend his money on such trifles. It turns out that in the hotel room, behind the wallpaper, Sasha discovered a tiny door that led her to someone else’s room. There was a huge stack of dollars lying on the table, and the girl took a couple of bills. When she told her grandfather about this, he did not betray her, but became an accomplice in this childish and almost innocent prank. However, after this incident, the family tried to leave the hotel quickly so that their participation in the incident would not be discovered and there would be no trouble with the management of the establishment.

Personal life of Mikhail Shirvindt

Mikhail Shirvindt was an amorous young man from a young age and more than once fell under the influence of women's charms. At the age of seven, he tried to court 19-year-old actress Nina Maslova, whom he met on a summer vacation at a sanatorium. Misha gave the lady of his heart flowers picked from the flower beds, accompanied her to the dining room and to the beach and was in seventh heaven. Interview with Mikhail Shirvindt about the family The idyll was destroyed by the 27-year-old handsome actor Alexander Zbruev, who “crossed the path” of our hero. Then for the boy this story became a real life drama, and now Mikhail remembers it with laughter and dedicated an entire chapter of his book to it.

Despite his love of love, Shirvindt Jr. was officially married only twice. The first marriage with the girl Elena did not last long; in this union a son, Andryusha, was born (1981), who was named after Andrei Mironov.

At Satyricon, Mikhail met Tatyana Morozova, a theater artist and former soloist of the dance trio Express. In 1986, the second wife gave birth to Mikhail’s daughter Alexandra, left the theater and began helping her husband on television.

Tatyana stood at the origins of many of Shirvindt’s author’s projects and for more than thirty years was his reliable support and faithful comrade-in-arms. However, in the summer of 2021, the exemplary star family broke up, avoiding serious property claims against each other and maintaining friendly relations.

Rumor has it that the reason for the breakup was Shirvindt’s infidelities and his latest affair with young journalist Anastasia Ponomareva. Neither Mikhail himself nor his representatives confirm this information, and Tatyana states that for the last eight years their marriage was purely formal, they have been living their own lives for a long time.

Shirvindt's eldest son became a certified lawyer and teaches at the department of civil law at Moscow State University. He gave his father three granddaughters - Anastasia (2002), Ella (2011) and Irina (2018). Alexandra chose a creative profession; she is an art historian, engaged in interior design and creating creative crafts and souvenirs.

In 2021, Mikhail published an autobiographical book, “Memoirs of a Loser,” in which he shared with readers the most striking events of his boring life. It was decided to combine her presentation with the release of Alexander Shirvindt’s book “In Between,” so that readers would have the opportunity to see the same events through the eyes of father and son.

In the book, Mikhail talks a lot about his childhood, friendship with Andrei Mironov, Mikhail Derzhavin and other legendary Soviet artists, and also openly shares the not so pleasant moments of his life. Thus, he devoted an entire chapter to participation in the MMM financial pyramid, into which he invested not only all his savings, but also the savings of his father and his friends. Being a gambling man, Mikhail did not listen to the advice of smart people, and having lost all his money overnight, he became seriously ill due to nervousness.

Demanding grandfather

Alexander Shirvindt adores his grandchildren; he already has three of them. The two eldest (granddaughter Sasha and grandson Andrei) know firsthand what grandfather’s shouts are. One day they all filmed a congratulatory home movie for Mikhail Shirvindt. And at these moments, the children endlessly heard the raised tone of Shura, as they call their grandfather, who was the director of the home film. The famous actor wanted to do everything flawlessly, so he was extremely emotional.

Another time, little Sasha learned a nursery rhyme with her grandfather, after which she decided never to enter a theater institute in her life, thinking that all the teachers were as demanding and loud as her Shura.

Mikhail Shirvindt divorced his wife - true or not?

How many years was Mikhail Shirvindt with his wife?

The media learned the exact information that the couple was facing divorce proceedings from the primary source - from Mikhail himself. He broke the sad news on July 25th. However, he did not give a clear reason why this happened; the man limited himself to only saying that the love had passed. Perhaps there was a rift in the family, or maybe the spouses were simply constantly together and now they are bored together.

It may also be that the couple decided to separate in order to find happiness in another person while they have the strength and opportunity to do so. By the way, the spouses separated amicably, and they do not need to divide children or property. According to Mikhail, they remained good friends.

The marriage of the star couple was dissolved on September 5 in one of the courts of the Presnensky district of Moscow. But, as you know, both spouses did not show up for the procedure; both indicated only that they had no claims against each other. Some sources reported that the couple divided all material wealth equally, thus everything went off without swearing and scandals.

The divorce proceedings were handled by a magistrate. If we refer to legislative acts, then the presence of such a person in the divorce process means that the couple has claims against each other, or children were born in the marriage who have not reached the age of majority. Accordingly, the judge decides who the children will stay with. As a rule, the law is always on the mother’s side, and this happened in this couple. Shirvindt will visit his children.
