Childhood and family of Farhad Makhmudov
The future actor was born in Tashkent.
There he went to school and began acting in films. Chance brought him to Uzbekfilm. As a sixth-grader, Farhad was skipping class and met a film studio representative in the school hallway, who invited him to come to the set the next day. At first the boy played a cameo role, but his second role in his life was already the main one. It was a short film “Wolves”, telling about the drug mafia and drugs.
Farhad recalls that as a child he did not yet understand the essence of filming and did not feel any special responsibility. It was just interesting to travel, it was interesting that they talked to him like an adult. He liked what he earned like a child. With his first fee, the young actor bought a radio.
When the film “Wolves” was released, Farhad began to be recognized on the street. After all, more than a million people saw the film in Uzbekistan alone. It was 1987.
Actor Farhad Makhmudov not only acts in films, but also works in the theater
Makhmudov studied in a noisy, cheerful and very friendly class. When he was an eighth-grader, their class was disbanded for “uncontrollable” behavior and divided between two other classes. But that didn't help much. At recess the guys met again. Even now, when Farhad is in his hometown, they always meet.
During his childhood, the boy watched mostly Soviet films, since European and American cinema was unavailable. At the age of fifteen, he met students from VGIK. They showed him several Western films, inviting him to screenings. The teenager was especially impressed by the films “Moon” and “Skin.”
“The Moon” starred Bernardo Bertoluccio, and “The Skin” starred Claudia Cardinale and Marcello Mastroianni. It was then that Makhmudov realized that he knew absolutely nothing about cinema. Most likely, it was because of this that he became interested in him. He had a dream to become an actor.
He lived in Tashkent until he was seventeen years old. After school, the future actor went to Moscow, where he entered VGIK. As Farhad says, star fever did not escape him. He went to Moscow, considering himself a celebrity. However, I very quickly realized that at VGIK there are half of them. There were a lot of kids who had already acted there, and the children of famous actors also studied there. The arrogance went away, and the star fever never returned. In Moscow, the future actor was struck by the heavy sky and the huge number of people. He plunged into a new, interesting life with pleasure. Makhmudov ended up in the class of Mikhail Gluzsky. He speaks of him as an excellent teacher who was very strict, but at the same time always fair.
He explained to his students that an artist must constantly prove that he is an artist, prove his talent every day. My student years turned out to be eventful and very interesting. Farhad was surrounded by interesting people, and he never even missed home.
Movies
In 2007, Konstantin went into cinema. He began his work as a stuntman, stunt coordinator and actor at the same time. Konstantin’s first role as a stunt performer took place in the detective series “Morozov,” which was released in 2007. Adayev’s artistic debut was the Ukrainian TV series “Former”, in which the actor played the episodic role of a bandit. Excellent athletic shape and excellent physical characteristics (the artist’s height is 185 cm) gave the performer the opportunity to portray tough, stern-looking characters.
The artist’s first film works were as a bandit, a security guard, and a riot police commander. Playing such characters, Adaev gained experience by working on the same set next to popular artists: Bogdan Stupka, Sergei Garmash, Gosha Kutsenko, Alexander Sirin. In 2008, the public saw the performer in the image of a brothel security guard in the series "Capercaillie".
Collaboration with directors Fyodor Bondarchuk, Alexander Kott, Eldar Salavat played a role in the development of the stuntman as an artist. 2011 was a special year in Konstantin’s career. This role was followed by a series of films in which Konstantin starred in the role of bandits and killers. A turning point in the performer’s creative biography occurred in the film “Wild-4”. The role of the bandit Andrei, Scythe’s assistant, was humanized by Konstantin - he played a tired, depressed man instead of just another scumbag.

In 2021, the exciting film “Fathers” directed by Arsho Harutyunyan was released. The film tells the story of a group of female athletes captured by Libyan Islamists. The volleyball players were captured while returning on a private plane from a training camp in Cyprus. The girls' fathers, realizing that the children's lives depend only on them, go to the East to save the captives. Konstantin played Arthur Krupenin, the desperate father of the girl Anya.
Konstantin Adaev in the film “Black Sea”
Another film of 2021, released with Adaev’s name in the credits, is “Hunting the Devil.” The film tells about the events that took place in Russia and Europe during the Second World War. German and Soviet intelligence services are hunting for a super-powerful weapon invented by a Russian scientist. Konstantin Adaev played the role of a German saboteur carrying out Heinrich Himmler's task to kill the head of the NKVD.
In subsequent years, the artist did not change his film role as a hero endowed with physical strength. Thus, in the TV series “Zinka the Muscovite” he played a security guard, in “Lyutom-2” he played the head of Shumsky’s security service, and in “Lost” he played an intelligence school instructor. A striking work was the role in the crime drama “Ricochet” directed by Denis Karyshev and Vyacheslav Kirillov.
In 2021, the performer’s filmography was expanded with a number of new exciting projects. Among them are “Rostov” (the lawless bandit Mednik), “Blind Turn” (Vitaly Romanov, stuntman, husband of the main character), “Lighthouse Keeper” (Kvyat) and others. For filming, Konstantin had to travel to different cities and work in difficult weather conditions.
The beginning of the career of actor Farhad Makhmudov: theater and filmography
Immediately after VGIK, the aspiring actor worked for a year in the drama theater, which at that time was headed by Evgeny Simonov.
He saw Farhad as a promising actor and had high hopes for him. However, after Simonov’s death, Makhmudov had to leave the theater. In 1994, he began serving at the Roman Viktyuk Theater, which was then considered the most scandalous theater in the capital. The first role Farhad played there was a female one - Madame Saint-Ange. In the early nineties, performances where men played female roles caused a real shock. The first and immediately serious film role was the role in “Brigade”. He played a drug dealer, friend and colleague of the main character. After the release of the film, Farhad became famous. The painting changed his life. "Brigada" received the TEFI award. This film also starred Sergei Bezrukov, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Vladimir Vdovichenkov.
After the series was released, the actor began to receive a lot of filming offers. Today he has starred in more than thirty films and TV series - these are “Outpost”, “Poor Nastya”, “Wonderful Truth”, “Ashes”, “Asian”, “Pied Piper”, “Brotherhood of the Airborne”, etc.

Acting in theater and acting in films is not the same thing. After performances in the theater, you always have to rebuild in order to start filming a movie. All of Viktyuk’s performances are staged in the style of postmodernism, all of them are carefully thought out. Working with Viktyuk allows you to accurately understand the meaning of the play.
Farhad Makhmudov devotes a lot of energy to the theater
His productions are not created to shock the public; the purpose of their creation is to make the audience think. If you don’t understand the meaning of your character, it will be simply impossible to play him. In the theater, the actor played many mystical characters. After the performance, as Farhad said, he always tried to leave the characters on stage, because he believes that outside the theater you should not carry your roles with you and act outside the stage.
Personal life of Farhad Makhmudov
Once a year Makhmudov comes to Tashkent.
His parents still live there. He says that the city has changed a lot, the difference between the poor and the rich has become too obvious. It seems that the middle class has not yet formed. The actor has favorite places in the capital - this is old Moscow. If possible, he walks along Tverskaya Street and along the boulevards. He likes to just sit on the bench, staring at people passing by.
Farhad is married, and on March 10, 2004, his son Iskander was born.
