Why did we have a wedding for only two?
We are not supporters of fuss and big weddings with a huge list of traditions, signs and rituals. We didn’t want to do everything “like everyone else.” Besides, we are quite practical people. Realizing the scale of preparation for a magnificent celebration, we abandoned this wedding format. Choosing between pleasing someone and making the holiday the way we want it to be, we chose the latter.
Our preparation took no more than a month. Fortunately, at that moment I understood what I wanted and what professionals I planned to use. We were completely relaxed, not nervous and had complete trust in the contractors involved. However, there were also difficulties: for example, it was not easy to assemble a suit for the groom. But we dealt with this quite quickly and quite successfully.
Decoration of the banquet hall
When choosing decor for a banquet, follow these recommendations:
- Don’t skimp on lighting : in winter, electric garlands and multi-colored LED strips are appropriate. Decorate them around the perimeter of walls, windows and front doors to create a festive mood. If you don't like twinkling lights, order standard drapery with balls and fabrics, as is customary for summer weddings, but this option will look less interesting;
- If you decide to hold an event in a restaurant with an open area, you can light fireworks there at the climax;
- Light a lot of candles on the tables - this will make the atmosphere special. The flickering of candles will amazingly transform wedding photos;
- Choose a restaurant that doesn't skimp on tableware. Crystal is the best choice for a winter wedding banquet.
Important! When planning a winter wedding, pay attention to interesting details and findings and feel free to include them in your wishes to the decorators.
Why did we shoot on a separate day?
Our wedding photo shoot was a bit of a deception: the painting at the registry office took place on July 29, but we organized the shooting in early September. There were many reasons for this. Firstly, we are working people, and it is quite difficult for us to find time for a walk in the summer.
Secondly, in Crimea in the summer there is incredible heat, at +35 in a dress and with makeup it is physically difficult to just walk, not to mention climb a mountain. And thirdly, we submitted an application to the registry office in the summer, at the height of the wedding season, so in order to increase the chances of getting exactly the professionals I wanted, it made sense to push back the date of the walk. We made no mistake in our choice.

Features of a wedding in the mountains
Before making a choice in favor of such an unusual ceremony, you need to decide on the location for it and clarify all the questions of interest. Along with many advantages, a wedding in the mountains has some limitations, namely:
- Weather conditions can be quite extreme - sometimes the newlyweds face sudden changes in temperature, frost and gusty winds. It is necessary to carefully select a wardrobe for each occasion.
- The budget for organizing a celebration is quite high, especially if you are planning a symbolic or traditional wedding abroad.
- Most often, such events are not designed for a large number of participants. In addition, elderly people and guests with certain diseases will find it difficult to stay in thin mountain air.
However, all the shortcomings are more than compensated by the almost unlimited possibilities, because in the mountains you can ride a helicopter, a cable car and even a deer ride. And the breathtaking views of nature cannot be compared with boring city landscapes.

Wedding concept
We love nature, mountains, sea and Crimea in general. We love exploring it and discovering new places. Therefore, we wanted to organize a walk in a unique place. And we knew several of them: Ilyas-Kaya, Cape Sarych and Staro-Sevastopol Highway. All of them were not chosen by chance; we have been there before, and we have many pleasant memories associated with these places.
We didn’t adhere to any specific style, we just wanted everything to look harmonious and natural. I knew that wedding trends don't last forever, so I wanted to avoid being overwhelmed with decor. The main idea was us, our feelings and the surrounding beauty.

Winter wedding “under one blanket”
For a wedding photo shoot in winter, when going into nature further from the bustle of the city, you can take with you two warm blankets and heart-shaped cups of hot coffee. One blanket should be spread on the white snow, the other can be wrapped together, creating warm and soulful photographs.

Fun wedding photo shoot in winter outdoors
For cheerful and mischievous newlyweds, it would be great to capture on film how they are pushing each other in children's sleds, sliding down a hill together, or just playing with snowballs. The blush on your face from the winter frost and cheerful smiles will add a special charm to your photo frames.
And to make such a photo shoot chic, you can make a huge snow heart together.
