How 75-year-old bachelor Timothy Dalton lives and what his son from Oksana Grigorieva looks like

Biography

A representative of the classical acting school, Timothy Dalton is sincerely devoted to the path of acting. Despite the great number of high-profile roles, in life the artist is a simple person who does not put himself above others, who loves fishing, reading, as well as opera music and jazz. Timothy Peter Dalton was born on March 21, 1946 in Colwyn Bay, County Conwy, near the Irish Sea coast.

Actor Timothy Dalton

The father of the future actor was a commander in a British organization involved in undercover combat and intelligence operations, and his mother was raising her son. When Timothy was not yet four years old, the family moved to the community of Belper (Derbyshire). There the boy entered the Herbert Strutt gymnasium, and later, as a teenager, the flight academy.

Timothy Dalton in his youth

At the age of 16, Dalton attended a performance of Macbeth. After watching the production, Timothy realized that in the future he wanted to connect his life with military affairs. The ambitious young man's priorities changed when he landed a role in William Shakespeare's classic play Hamlet. After the stunning success of the performance, which took place within the walls of the Old Vic Theatre, Timothy decided that acting was something that he really wanted to devote himself and his life to.

Timothy Dalton at the theater

In 1964, the active guy entered the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began touring with the Michael Croft National Youth Theater. Timothy Dalton's first role on the theater stage came in the same year, 1964: at the Queen's Theatre, he played in a production of William Shakespeare's play Coriolanus. This was followed by productions of Richard III, Love's Labour's Lost, Doctor's Dilemma and Saint Joan. After completing his studies, the aspiring actor joined the ranks of the Birmingham Theater and for a couple of years was the leading actor of the troupe.

Childhood, youth: Colwyn Bay - Belper - Birmingham

Timothy Peter Dalton was born in the spring of 1946 in the family of British Secret Service captain Peter Legitt Dalton (1916 - 2004) and housewife Dorothy Scholes.
They lived in Colwyn Bay, a town in County Conwy, near the Irish coast. In addition to Timothy, the family had four more children: Suzzanne, Annabelle, Mark and Stephen. Tim celebrated his fourth birthday in the Belper community, where the family moved after his father retired. In the early 50s, Peter Dalton entered the advertising business. Timothy went to study and became a high school student at the Herbert Strutt School. Also in his youth, he studied at an air cadet flight school and was a member of the British youth organization Air Training Corps, intending to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a military man. But one day, at the age of 15, the teenager saw the play “Macbeth” and from then on he literally fell ill with the theater. The actor recalled: Timothy made his final choice after he came of age. In 1964 he entered the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At the same time, he began playing a role in Shakespeare's Coriolanus at the National Youth Theater Michael Croftat. The success that awaited the production on the stage of the Old Vic Theater inspired the aspiring actor to leave his studies at the academy.

Soon he went on tour with the theater troupe. Dalton was involved in productions of Richard the Third, Saint Joan and Love's Labour's Lost, and later played in the play The Doctor's Dilemma. In the early 60s he joined the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, where he was considered a leading artist for more than two years. He was also invited to television for the first time to play one of the main roles in a teleplay based on Shakespeare's Troilus and Cassida.

Movies

In 1966, Dalton made his debut on television, playing one of the main roles in a television production of Shakespeare's play of the same name, Troilus and Cressida. A year later, the actor appeared in ten episodes of the series Sat'day While Sunday. His debut in big cinema took place in 1968. In the film “The Lion in Winter” directed by Anthony Harvey, Timothy played the role of King Philip II Augustus of France. In the film, which tells about the difficult life of King Henry II of England and his power-hungry relatives, Dalton's colleagues on the set were Peter O'Toole, Katharine Hepburn and Anthony Hopkins.

At the same time, Timothy was invited to the films “Cromwell”, “The Watcher” and “Wuthering Heights”, which received positive reviews from viewers and critics. A year later, the actor took on the role of Lord Darnley in the historical drama “Mary Queen of Scots” by Charles Jarraud. In the 80s of the last century, it already became clear that Timothy Dalton was a real actor. Every year films with his participation were released.

A film event at the beginning of that decade was the release of Mike Hodges' science fiction film Flash Gordon on big screens. This picture, with a successful combination of circumstances, could have developed into a space saga, but this did not happen, since the niche of space adventures was occupied by George Lucas and his film “Star Wars”. In 1983, Dalton reached his cinematic career peak with Julian Amis's television series Jane Eyre.

Dalton got the main role of Edward Fairfax Rochester. The story follows the life of Jane (Zila Clarke). The girl lost her parents early and spent her unhappy childhood with her aunt, who later sent her to an orphanage, from which the young lady managed to escape. Next, Timothy expanded his filmography, creating a whole gallery of vivid images in the films “Sins”, “Doctor and the Devils”, “The Lord of Ballantrae” and “Mistral’s Daughter”.

In 1987, Dalton replaced Roger Moore in the world-famous series of films dedicated to the adventures of British superspy James Bond. The film with Timothy in the title role - “Sparks from the Eyes” - became the fifteenth part of the long-running saga, and the actor himself became the fourth performer of the role of Bond. Two years later, the 16th part of the saga, “License to Kill,” was released, which became the actor’s second and last appearance as an agent.

Although the two parts of the Bond film did not become a breakthrough in world cinema, they brought fame to the Welshman. In 1994, the master of impersonation returned to television screens, playing Eddie Myers in The Trap and Rhett Butler in the sequel to Gone with the Wind, Scarlett. In 1991, the actor’s cinematic biography was supplemented by the role of a villain in the science-fiction film “The Rocketeer.” In the late 90s, he played in the drama “The Informant”, the action film “Mafia Men” and in the next version of “Cleopatra”.

Although Oksana cuckolded him with a Swedish millionaire in the past, “James Bond” came to support her

Finding herself at the epicenter of a loud scandal, Oksana Grigorieva now needs friendly help more than ever. Perhaps especially on the part of her former common-law husband, British actor Timothy Dalton, with whom the Russian pianist lived for 12 years and with whom she gave birth to a son, Sasha. And, like a true gentleman, Timothy could not do otherwise: the day before, the paparazzi photographed him leaving Oksana’s house, where he had come to support his ex-wife.

64-year-old “James Bond” arrived on Friday at Grigorieva’s house in Sherman Oaks (the same one that Mel Gibson ). Timothy is a frequent visitor to America - perhaps he spends even more time in the USA than in his native Britain. Dalton has a home in the States, and from time to time he participates in various Hollywood projects: for example, he voiced one of the characters in the recently released cartoon Toy Story 3. Obviously, at a difficult moment for Oksana, when she is fighting in court for her daughter, Timothy decided to support his ex-wife.

Grigorieva and Dalton met in 1995 during the London Film Festival, where Nikita Mikhalkov brought his Oscar-winning film Burnt by the Sun. Oksana worked for Nikita Sergeevich as a translator, and it was during the festival events that Timothy laid his eyes on her. Oksana always says only good things about her ex-husband:

“We are raising our son together,” Grigorieva once told People magazine, “He is a good father, and we have an excellent relationship.”

Dalton, like a true Briton, prefers to remain silent regarding his ex: the actor never gives interviews, and even more so about his common-law wife. This is understandable: the story of the loud and not entirely beautiful breakup of Timothy and his Russian girlfriend at one time made it onto the covers of many British tabloids - just like now the details of Oksana’s breakup with Mel Gibson. It seems that the fatal beauty simply cannot stay away from public scandals.

Express Gazeta wrote about the reasons for the divorce of Timothy Dalton and Oksana Grigorieva back in 2007 (details here). It was then that “James Bond” learned that the mother of his ten-year-old son was having an affair behind his back. Oksana's lover was Peter Blomkvist , a 40-year-old Swedish millionaire who had only one drawback: he was married and raised two children. Blomkvist and Grigorieva were seen more than once walking near Dalton's London home. Timothy himself already lived mainly in the USA. The details of the novel were then published by the British publication “News of the World”: the Swede came to Oksana only in Dalton’s absence, and chose late times for visits, when Alexander, the son of Timothy and Oksana, was already supposed to be asleep. And the millionaire left Grigorieva’s house, as observed by the paparazzi, three hours later. “He probably forgot that Timothy has... a license to kill,” a British newspaper joked at the time.

Having learned about his wife's adultery, Timothy immediately insisted that Oksana leave his house. A divorce was not required - after all, Dalton and Grigorieva were never officially married. The actor prudently forced Oksana to sign a marriage contract: he pays all his wife’s expenses, but in the event of separation, she does not receive a penny. In addition, the actor demanded that their son Alexander be educated in the USA. Obviously, after everything that happened, Timothy preferred to stay away from the loud scandal. However, he still found the strength to forgive Oksana and come to her and his son. Moreover, yesterday the boy went through an unpleasant procedure - the police asked him about the details of Gibson’s attack on his mother and about the details of Oksana and Mel’s life together. Dalton has not yet made any public statements, however, who knows - maybe he will still decide to come out in support of Oksana.

Personal life

Timothy never talked much about relationships with representatives of the weaker half of humanity. Despite the efforts of the master of disguises not to make his personal life public, nosy journalists always managed to find out the most piquant and scandalous details about the actor’s interactions with women outside the set. It is reliably known that Dalton was never officially married.

Timothy Dalton

From 1971 to 1986, Timothy dated actress Vanessa Redgrave. The young people met on the set of director Charles Jarrott’s film “Mary Queen of Scots.” After 15 years of cohabitation, fans were expecting a wedding and a child, but the actor chose a different path. According to rumors, the freedom-loving Dalton broke up with his chosen one because of different views on life.

For the actor, the stamp in the passport did not play any role, but Vanessa needed official confirmation of their love. The woman is tired of making excuses to her family and friends, proving over and over again that Timothy is serious about her and is considering having children in the future. As a result, all these plans remained an unrealized project, and the once lovers went their separate ways.

For 9 years since the breakup, the artist enjoyed the delights of a bachelor’s life, but in 1995, at the London Film Festival, the artist met the Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, who accompanied director Nikita Mikhalkov at the event and was his translator. The soul of the master of reincarnation was again captured by amorous torment, and he decided to win the favor of the charming brunette at any cost. The relationship between Timothy and Oksana developed rapidly, and on August 7, 1997, the couple had a son, Alexander.

It is worth noting that Dalton was able to once again surprise the public: a man who was always following his ambitions became a wonderful father. In his free time from filming, Timothy went fishing with the heir, instilled in him a love of music and regularly read fairy tales before bed. Unfortunately, the crack in the relationship that appeared in 2007 could not be mended by the common child. The couple divorced. The son stayed with his mother. Rumor has it that the reason for the deterioration of the relationship between Timothy and Oksana was the Russian woman’s affair with Swedish businessman Peter Blomkvist.

Dalton, like a true gentleman, never spoke negatively about his former common-law wife. Oksana answered him in kind, emphasizing in an interview that they maintained a good relationship and were still raising their son together. By the way, it was Dalton who supported Oksana during her no less loud scandal with Mel Gibson. At the moment, the heart of the eminent artist is free.

How a simple Russian pianist gave birth to two children from Hollywood celebrities

Oksana Chernukha, that was Grigorieva’s name at the beginning of her life, has been seriously involved in playing the piano since childhood. And she even graduated from the Kazan State Conservatory named after Zhiganov.

In 1989, Chernukha married a simple lawyer Igor Baranov. But her first marriage would last only three months.

Soon after the divorce, the girl will move to England and will make a living doing what she knows best - teaching music. There, in Great Britain, she meets a relative of the Queen, photographer Patrick Anson.

The modeling career of the former music teacher began precisely with her affair with Anson. To work in the modeling business, Oksana Chernukha takes her mother’s surname - Grigorieva. However, moving to the USA will force her to take up teaching again. Oksana's talent blossomed: she patented a method for teaching notes and acted as a composer and performer. However, as a musician and teacher, Oksana is known to a narrow circle of music lovers. The girl truly became famous for her romances with famous actors.

However, Grigoriev will enter into a second marriage with the British artist Nicholas Rowland. They will live in marriage for two years.

A fateful meeting for the pianist and model will take place in 1995 - Oksana Grigorieva meets the famous actor Timothy Dalton. The couple has a son, Alexander. However, this love story also ends in a break. After basking in the glory of Dalton, Grigorieva, according to rumors, cheated on him with another man.

The actor, despite everything, did not stop communicating with his son and even supported his former lover in difficult times for her.

Another world-class star who was seduced by our compatriot is Hollywood actor Mel Gibson. For the sake of his new love, Gibson divorces his wife, whose union lasted almost 30 years.

In 2009, the Gibson-Grigorieva couple had a daughter, Lucia. And a year later, the former lovers break up with a scandal and spend a long time sorting out their relationship in court.

Currently, despite all the failures, loss of fortune, illness, Oksana Grigorieva continues to play music professionally, she has her own line of cosmetics. In addition, she donates a lot to charity.

Her children are growing up with famous fathers. Alex Dalton is already 22 years old. His occupation is unknown, but he is very similar to his father Timothy Dalton and is his only heir.

Despite the fact that Dalton is not on Instagram or Facebook, on the social network VKontakte, fans of the master of disguise have created a community in which they publish the latest news from the life of their favorite.
