Childhood and youth

The movie star was born in the summer of 1973 in Los Angeles, the center of celebrities in the powerful film industry. The love of cinema was instilled in his daughter by her father, actor Geoffrey Lewis. Glenys Bateley's mother had nothing to do with cinema - she worked as a graphic designer.

The future screen star was born when Lightfield's son was growing up in the family. Sister Brandi was born a year later. When the girl was 2 years old, her parents separated. Juliet and her brother and sister wandered from father to mother, from one family to another: her parents tried several times to acquire other halves.

Later, two more children appeared in new families. Juliet admitted that after the divorce she never saw her parents together, but she was grateful that they did not tire her with excessive care and control.

Juliet's father, a sought-after Hollywood actor, starred in six films by Clint Eastwood. During the summer holidays, Jeffrey took his daughter to filming.

“I remember filming some cowboy films. These were my first encounters with the film process,” Lewis recalls.

Juliette Lewis in her youth
The girl saw herself as an actress at the age of 6. Since then, Juliet has not given up on her dream of becoming like her father. At the request of his daughter, Jeffrey bought a video camera, with which she shot amateur films, in which she took the main roles for herself.

A cinematic biography of Lewis started when the little actress was 7 years old. She appeared in an episode of the action comedy film As Soon as You Can. The main roles went to her father, Clint Eastwood and Sondra Locke. Then the girl was involved in episodes of several films and TV series.

At the age of 14, Juliet felt independent and went to court, which recognized the girl as an adult. From that moment on, legislative restrictions on child labor did not concern her: Lewis, having passed the exams as an external student, left the boring school and left her parents' home.

Lewis worked and rented a house. Having bought a used car, but never received a driver's license, she went to auditions and auditions. The future Hollywood star learned acting on the fly, acting in films.
