In 2013-2014 Alexey Morozov played for CSKA Moscow.
Actor's crisis
In 2004, due to financial problems and loss of interest in acting on stage, he left the theater and moved to Moscow, where he worked in information management for two years? advertising construction companies and children's toys. Then, having become the head of the press service of Patricia Kaas in Russia, Morozov creates his own successful public relations agency.
However, the theater was in no hurry to let the talented artist go so easily, and one evening, in 2006, an invitation came from Dodin to try out for a role in the play “King Lear”.
Homecoming
After the performance, there were several more productions within the walls of the Maly Drama Theater and the Comedian's Shelter, which forced the actor to try on many different images: Prince Gennaro, Ralph, Biron, Ivan Timofeevich, Rodolfo and Fedka. He played in the plays “Shadow of the Gunman”, “Mumu”, “Lord of the Flies”, “Demons” and “Portrait with Rain”.

In 2014 he announced his retirement from his playing career.
Work in the theater
After leaving the theater of Europe and a short creative downtime, Morozov returned to his native theater. He began his favorite work with great pleasure, and played in such wonderful productions as “Lord of the Flies”, “Love’s Labour’s Lost”, “King Lear”, “Demons” and many others.
Currently, Alexey continues to perform on the stage of the Theater of Europe ; he also collaborates with the theaters “Shelter of a Comedian” and “Russian Entreprise” named after.
A. Mironova.
A happy family
Alexey’s wife is a psychologist by training. It is worth noting the amazing fact that Ira, like her husband, was born on February 16, but the age difference was two years. Currently, Irina is a housewife and mother of four children. Alexey is very happy with how his wife copes with household chores and success in the kitchen. Irina and Alexey have a common musical taste and they always find common activities and hobbies. Alexey cares very much about the children and even teaches his son Nikita to play hockey: he scores goals for him, tells him the intricacies of the game and just has fun with him. The children of the Morozov family attend English courses because their father knows how useful it will be in the future.
Blue screen
The first film role in Morozov’s adult life was the image of Commissioner Proshin in the film “Angel’s Chapel” directed by Dreyden. The actor’s talent was so impressive that soon followed the leading roles of an NKVD officer and his grandson, a journalist-historian forced to work as a security guard, in the series “Cross in a Circle”, “Report of Fate”, Sukhotin in “Grigory R.”, Fyodor Rtishchev in “Raskol”, in pairs with famous Russian cinema actors.
After the release of the short film “Exit” in 2015, as a result of the synthesis of the Russian and German film industries, all members of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival were amazed by the acting and transformations of the artists. Filming in films did not prevent Morozov from continuing to host television programs.
American stage
Alexey played 451 matches throughout his entire period in the NHL, achieving great achievements. At first, Alexey Morozov did not know English well, so adaptation to the new country did not go very smoothly. The only person with whom he could speak his native language was striker Jaromir Jagr, he understood Russian quite well. Alexey was single, and his parents did not have the opportunity to visit him as often as they wanted. And the longing for Russia gave this whole situation an even darker shade. Alexey tried to drive away bad thoughts from himself and splashed out all his energy on the court while doing what he loved.
At first, Alexey Morozov played only in the third line, but gradually the team coach gave him more chances to realize his own individuality. The most famous Canadian goalkeeper, Martin Brodeur, playing for the New Jersey Devils, gave Morozov the nickname “devil killer.” This was picked up by most of the players in the league, and from that moment on the nickname stuck with him in NHL games.

Alexey Morozov was born on February 16, 1977 in Moscow. The boy started skating very early. My father was a hockey coach at a children's sports school. Even at home there were small gates and plastic sticks. Already at the age of five, Lesha did not want to lag behind his brother Valya and decided on his passion.
In 1999, Morozov graduated from the Russian State Academy of Physical Culture with a degree in Physical Culture and Sports. Later he received a diploma from Kazan Federal University with a degree in Jurisprudence.
When Alexey turned seven years old, serious exercises began, and his grandmother often took the children to training. The boys attended the Lokomotiv club, where their father taught. Later, Morozov Jr. began studying at the Krylia Sovetov school with coach Konstantin Smirnov, and his brother managed to move to CSKA a year earlier.
Until the eighth grade, Alexey had to combine morning and evening training with studying at a comprehensive school. A lot of time was spent on the road. And only for the last two years I studied at a special school. Swimmers and hockey players studied in his class.
Brother Valentin was the first to join the team where the masters played, and Alexey was very proud of him. Later, Morozov Jr. admitted that at the age of fourteen he did not have sufficient physical abilities and therefore played only in the third line. He gained strength by the age of seventeen.
Alexei initially wanted to become a goalkeeper, but his father persuaded him to become a forward. The son did not have to regret this decision. Instead of “catching flying stones” at the goal, he took on the functions of a striker. So, already at the age of seventeen, Morozov began performing as part of a team of masters and managed to score fifteen goals in the championship.
Alexey played 451 matches with the Pittsburgh Penguins National Hockey League team. Here his teachers were Kevin Constantine, Ivan Glinka, Rick Kehoe.
At first he played in the third defensive line. Only under Rick did Kehoe gain more freedom to express his own individuality. Games were held with the New Jersey Devils, where the famous Martin Brodeur stood at the goal, who said that he was very afraid of the “devil killer,” as Morozov was then called overseas.
Silver medalist of the Nagano Olympics, twice world champion, three-time Russian champion Alexey Morozov is an Honored Master of Sports. When he played in the NHL, he was lucky enough to get into a threesome with Canadian hockey player Mario Lemieux and Russian Kovalev. However, injuries prevented this bright period from continuing long enough. In 2004, for objective reasons, Morozov returned to his homeland and agreed to work at the Ak Bars club.
In 2013, the famous forward Alexei Morozov signed a two-year contract with the CSKA club, but on August 24, 2014 he announced that he was retiring from his hockey career.
After completing his sports career, Morozov was appointed vice-president of the Kontinental Hockey League for the development of youth hockey. He is also known as a film actor, having starred in the film “Brother 2” and the TV series “Molodezhka”, where he played himself.
Managing Director of the Youth Hockey League Alexey Morozov was re-elected to his post on June 19, 2021 Morozov will hold his position until 2023.
By decision of the Board of Directors of the Kontinental Hockey League on February 14, 2021 , Morozov was elected President of the KHL. Biography
The future artist was born in the Northern capital in November 1979. From early childhood, the boy was interested in literature, music, and poetry. His parents tried to take him to all performances in St. Petersburg theaters, where they often went themselves. Perhaps it was this amazing atmosphere that had such an influence on Alexey, who had dreamed of becoming an actor since childhood.
The boy's dream came true, and quite quickly. Already in the second grade, Alexey gained invaluable experience by immediately playing the main role in the television play “Journey of the Blue Arrow.”
At the age of 14, Morozov successfully passed the casting for the “Imagine” theater studio, and over the next few years he took an active part in the studio’s productions. Alexey felt like a fish in water in a theatrical environment , and this only strengthened his decision to become a professional actor.
After graduating from school, Morozov applied to the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts, and brilliantly passed all the entrance exams. Having become a certified artist, he immediately began working at the Theater of Europe . However, the modest salary of a theater actor for some time undermined Alexey’s confidence to continue his creative path.
In 2004, the artist decided to move to Moscow to become closely involved in PR management. This trend was just gaining momentum in our country, and Morozov quickly learned its basic principles.
He headed the press service of Patricia Kaas in Russia, and after some time founded his own advertising agency. He collaborated with large companies, and after several years of work he was able to achieve the financial independence that he so lacked. It was during this period that he realized that he had become bored with art. Work on television:
- In 2002, Alexey received an offer to host the TV show “Emergency Reserve” on the REN TV channel;
- In 2003, Morozov was the co-host of the program “There is ecstasy in battle,” which was broadcast by the “Culture” channel. This project was an artistic reconstruction of gambling and duels, and Alexey’s acting skills were most welcome here;
- In 2011, the management of the Russia-Petersburg channel entrusted Alexey with hosting the program “Reserve Region with Alexey Morozov”, in which viewers learned a lot of new and interesting things about the sights of the city on the Neva;
- In 2021, Morozov received a new offer from the Russia-Petersburg channel. This time he became the host of the television program “Petrograd on the 17th”.
