  3. Gather 7 petals in a chain using a needle and thread and connect them into a flower.
  4. Secure the resulting part to the top of the ball.
  5. Next, other petals are attached with glue, placing them in a checkerboard pattern in relation to the overlying elements.
  6. When all the petals are glued, remove the ball from the bag.

The voluminous flower is ready.

For novice craftswomen, when folding artificial flowers, it is still better to choose inexpensive synthetic fabric (artificial silk - viscose) or organza in order to fill their hands and not use expensive natural silk while mastering the basics of silk floristry. Silk crafts amazingly shimmer, sparkle and play with different colors in the rays of the bright sun. Since silk has a high degree of hygroscopicity, it dries very quickly, maintaining the given shape after twisting the petals. Tools that are often used to make silk crafts with your own hands: Scissors, balls with different working surfaces made of brass alloy, knives of different shapes, soldering iron, ruler, markers. How to make a beautiful silk flower with your own hands: • make a solution for gelatinizing silk. Add 3 teaspoons of gelatin to 200 ml of water. Let's wait until the ingredient is infused and slightly heat the mixture on the stove; • after the gelatin has noticeably dissolved in the heated water, dip the silk into the solution. When the fabric is thoroughly soaked in the solution, remove it and hang it to dry (there is no need to wring out the silk before drying); • to form a flower, cut out 7 large, 7 medium and 7 small petals from gelatinized silk according to templates cut out of cardboard. Use scissors to cut carefully, taking your time. Try to cut out the blanks at an angle of 45 to the grain thread; • to continue the work, we need to take a thin fabric - for example, chiffon, to create a beautiful texture in the form of corrugation on the petals of a silk flower. Now you need to fold the petal in half and lay it at an angle of 45 to the grain of the chiffon; • hold the petal blank firmly, pressing it to the surface with your wrist. At the same time, we pull the chiffon out from under the petal. The surface of the workpiece will be corrugated; • we will do the same actions with the remaining silk petals, and then we fold them with a slight shift relative to each other and sew them with a strong thread to match the color of the silk. 2. Felt bouquet

From this dense material you can make a very beautiful bouquet that will perfectly complement your interior design . To work you will need:

  1. Pieces of felt in different colors.
  2. Template printed on paper or cardboard. In shape it resembles a coiled spring, one side of which is smooth and the other wavy.
  3. Scissors.
  4. Pencil.
  5. Glue.
  6. Thick cardboard and kraft paper.
  7. Floral wire.
  8. A small basket for bouquets and ikebana.
  9. Pliers.
  10. Fishing line or thin twine.

  8. Floral wire is stuck into the center of the green blank.
  9. Glue is applied to the middle of the sepal with a wire and the bud is glued.

Several of these flowers can be collected in a basket and made into a beautiful composition that can be given as a gift or to decorate a room.

Options for crafts made from different types of materials

Made from satin fabric

Flowers made of satin fabric are made as follows. Using a compass, draw a circle with a diameter of 12 cm and 9 cm on cardboard or thick paper. Using a blank, cut out 4 circles of 12 cm and one of 9 cm in diameter from satin. Burn with a lighter.

The petals should bend slightly inward. Now on each workpiece we make 4 cuts in pairs on both sides. We put them on top of each other and sew them together. For the middle we use beads.

Master class on making poppies

The thin gelatin fabric can be used to make a magnificent poppy. You can decorate clothes with these flowers from circles of fabric or make a wedding boutonniere. Required materials and tools:

  1. Black threads.
  2. Needle and scissors.
  3. Cotton pads and a piece of cotton wool.
  4. PVA glue.
  5. A little semolina.
  6. Red and green fabric.
  7. Lighter or candle.

First of all, you need to make a poppy core. To do this, roll a ball from a piece of cotton wool and tie it with thread. Next, the cotton ball is divided into segments using a needle and thread.

Next, poppy stamens are made. To do this, twist 8-10 turns of black thread onto your fingers, remove them from your fingers and tie the skein in the middle. Glue the threads to the core and straighten them evenly.

Round cloves

You can cut circle-shaped blanks from scraps of fabric and make carnations from them. The step-by-step sequence will be like this:

  1. Cut a circle with a diameter of 6.5 cm from cardboard.
  2. 12 circles are cut out of thin synthetic fabric according to the template.
  3. The edges of the circles are melted over a candle or lighter. While the fabric has not yet cooled down, give the edges a wavy look, slightly bending them in different directions.
  4. Fold the round blank in four and secure the corner with a needle and thread.
  5. All 12 fabric circles are processed in the same way.
  6. Cut out another circle of the same diameter from dense material. You can use felt or drape.
  7. Leaves are made from green fabric or satin ribbon. They are cut out according to a template and the edges are melted over a fire.
  8. A continuous layer of glue is applied to the felt circle and leaves of green satin are attached.
  9. Next, they begin to glue the petals from the folded four circles. There are 4 such parts for each layer. They are fixed using Crystal glue and a glue gun.
  10. The next two layers are glued in a checkerboard pattern in relation to those lying below.

When gluing each subsequent row, the diameter of the area where the glue is applied decreases by 2 times compared to the previous one. When fixing the third layer of petals, apply glue only to the very center of the product.

Textile roses

These roses are made from viscose or linen, from denim or burlap, from velvet or cotton.

Curling with rollers

Cut the fabric 20 cm into strips 2-3 cm wide and roll tightly. To form a flower, the blanks are laid out in a circle and fastened with threads, determining the size of the product. Beads and seed beads are used for decoration.

Twisted stripes

For this model, you should choose strips of linen or burlap. For the Provence style, lace braid is attached. Fold the strip in half lengthwise and on one side and form the middle by folding and tucking the corner.
