There were no unnecessary details or massive decorations on it. A special feature of the dress was the back, trimmed with lace, and a number of small buttons along the entire length, from the collar to the hem.
The sleeve cuffs were also trimmed with lace fabric. The whole look was completed with satin stiletto heels with a square buckle, a small comb with sapphires and a long veil. Lace on a modest neckline, long sleeves and a classic A-line silhouette are classic and elegant.

This Georges Chakra look is officially the best Gossip Girl wedding dress.

Preparing to marry the prince, the heroine of the series “Gossip Girl” Blair Waldorf, played by actress Leighton Meester, preferred a Vera Wang bustier dress. The outfit was decorated with a bow and lace—it was one of Waldorf's most memorable looks during filming. However, the dress in which Blair married her main love looks no less luxurious: an Elie Saab evening dress in soft blue, decorated with floral elements. And this once again proves that a colored dress can also be the right choice.
"Crown"

Although the filmmakers did not show the wedding ceremony, in this episode of the show the main character emphasized that it was a wedding dress.
It was made of organza and chiffon, and also embroidered with Swarovski crystals, with a very original decor of intertwined rhinestones on top of the dress. By the way, in the material The most popular jewelry from films and TV series, we talked about a brooch with the image of a mockingjay, which became one of the symbols of the film. As for Katniss's wedding look, both the design and cut of the dress were very memorable and fit perfectly into the overall style of the fantasy film:

The most anticipated ending to the famous vampire saga was the wedding of the main characters. The wedding dress from the movie "Twilight" has justifiably captured the hearts of many brides. Kristen Stewart appeared in a stunning outfit from the famous designer Carolina Herrera. The modest, laconic satin dress was complemented by translucent embroidery with an elegant row of buttons on the back, which perfectly balanced the silhouette and gave it sophistication.
“Bride Wars”
Both dresses for the legendary film about the struggle for the perfect wedding of two friends were created by designer Vera Wang, but only the image of the heroine Kate Hudson became iconic. A “clean” bustier, a fluffy tulle skirt, a lavender belt - in the early 2010s, all brides saw themselves on their special day exclusively in a look in the image and likeness of Wang’s creation.
Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, "Bride Wars"
The romantic comedy “Bride Wars” simply by definition could not help but be included in all sorts of wedding-themed film ratings!
Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson's wedding dresses were created by the world's most famous wedding dress designer, Vera Wang, especially for this film.
On Anne Hathaway we see a more modest, but very stylish, ivory-colored year dress. The asymmetrical strap and open shoulders perfectly emphasize the delicate image of the actress.
The heroine Kate Hudson chose a more pompous outfit. This is a traditional ballgown with a full, layered tulle skirt. The corset is made of exquisite, finest lace, and the waist is decorated with a soft purple velvet belt. In such a dress, the girl looks like a fairy-tale princess!
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
Fleur Delacour's dress from the saga about the wizard Harry Potter became the most unusual in the history of cinema. “The Age of Adaline”

At the end of the film, Ella and the prince get married, and a very romantic dress of a light cream color with a decor of multi-colored flowers and a long veil was created for the main character. This is truly a fabulous dress for a future princess:
"The beauty and the Beast"
Belle's wedding look from the movie “Beauty and the Beast” will satisfy the tastes of a true fashionista. Not just a white shade, but silk, decorated with voluminous peach-colored flowers, shoots of wild plants, a tight corset and a fluffy skirt - transparent sleeves add a feeling of weightlessness to the look.
"Dynasty"
The first of Fallon's fake weddings from Dynasty was supposed to be a huge one. For the wedding look, the costume designer saw something modern that would reflect the girl’s strong and business-like personality. That is why a dress from Rubin Singer was chosen with a full skirt, a bold “architectural” neckline, complemented by a neat but noticeable veil.
You need to choose a wedding dress with sense, feeling and arrangement - you don’t want to have doubts on the most important day of your life? The final decision should be thoughtful and confident - the same principle applies to choosing a groom. If you are truly in love with the on-screen wedding look, then nothing should stop you from repeating your favorite look. You can modernize it somewhat by adding relevant details and getting rid of too vintage anti-trends, but the overall concept should remain monolithic. Moreover, the dresses from our selection are just asking to become the main characters of your personal romantic story.
Gone with the Wind (1939)
Scarlett O'Hara's outfits in Gone with the Wind are without a doubt one of the most famous in the history of world cinema. However, ironically, the author of these luxurious dresses, Walter Plunkett, did not receive an Academy Award for his brilliant work, since American film academics began presenting the award in the category “Best Costume Design” only in 1948.
Walter Plunkett, costume designer
Among Scarlett's memorable outfits is her wedding dress, in which the obstinate southerner marries the inexpressive Charles Hamilton in spite of the adored, but heartfeltly unfree Ashley Wilkes. If you look closely, it’s easy to notice that the heroine’s wedding dress is a little too big. And the point, of course, is not that Vivien Leigh lost a lot of weight during the period between the last fitting and the filming of the said scene. Let's remember the plot of the picture. Scarlett accepted the marriage proposal very hastily, and the newly-minted groom was due to leave any day for the front of the Civil War of the North and South, so there was simply no time to sew a new wedding dress. That's why Scarlett is wearing the dress her mother, Ellyn, wore when she got married. Actually, this is how it is said in the novel by Margaret Mitchell, which formed the basis of the picture: “And amidst all this turmoil, preparations for Scarlett’s wedding went on as usual, and before she had time to come to her senses, she was already dressed in a wedding dress and Ellen’s veil, and the father led his daughter by the hand along the wide staircase down to the state rooms of Tara, where there were full of guests
Barbara O'Neill, the actress who plays Ellyn O'Hara, is noticeably taller and larger than her on-screen daughter. To achieve special realism in this scene, William Plunkett sewed the wedding dress according to Barbara's measurements. Therefore, it does not fit perfectly on petite Vivienne. Fashion historians note that dresses with such puffed sleeves (also called "gigot" or ham of mutton) were worn in the 1830s. And by the time of their daughter’s wedding in 1861, they had already gone out of fashion.
Scarlett's wedding dress with puff sleeves
However, if you use basic arithmetic and the first volume of the novel, it becomes obvious that if Ellyn O'Hara was 32 years old at the beginning of the story, and she got married as a 15-year-old girl, then her wedding took place in 1844 . And the same experts in the history of fashion will tell you that in the 40s of the 19th century such sleeves were no longer worn. So how did this happen? A gifted costume designer turned out to be a math buff? It's possible. Compare illustrations from fashion magazines from the decades listed, as well as authentic American wedding dresses from the 1830s and 1840s.

The answer is obvious. Plunkett was clearly inspired by 1830s bridal fashion. Well, whether this was done by mistake or intentionally, we will not know. But without going into such details, Scarlett-Vivien still looks charming in this creamy satin dress, decorated with embroidered grape leaves that adorn the bodice, sleeves and down the skirt around the hem. A pearl necklace emphasizes the actress’s swan neck, and an airy veil envelops her chiseled figure like a cloud.
It is worth noting that in the 1980s, puffed sleeves became very popular again. Let's just remember Princess Diana's famous wedding dress, created by the British designer and family tandem of David and Elizabeth Emmanuel. This wedding dress has many similarities with the dress from Gone with the Wind.
By the way, now the 80s are again gaining momentum in fashion, and perhaps soon wedding dresses ala Scarlett O'Hara will be in demand among ultra-fashionable brides.
